I recently tried this place with my mom and I was very disappointed. Most of the shop was full of boxes and crap. It was very unorganized and not very clean. They only offered one kind of pedicure and it was 50.00 , no parrifi or hot rocks and the massage was weak and short. My fill was lumpy and the shape was crooked. My mom had a gell manicure for 60.00 and she was done in 20 minutes and not impressed. I won't ever go back. read more

Michelle is a very kind person and I really appreciate that she enjoys human connections where as I've been to many places where the service is just the opposite.:) I got gel mani & pedi and she did a great job. I hate to negatively impact a small business and under normal circumstances I wouldn't but this was the WORST experience I've ever had and I would want to know this if I was choosing this place. First of all, the (Who I assume was the owner) called her husband who came to do my pedicure. With little knowledge of how to remove gel polish he couldn't even hold I file correctly. At this point I decided just suck it up get it done and go somewhere else after and get a second pedi but then it got worse. As he starts coughing and wiping his face he gets up to grab tools from an area I can't see (not wrapped which is a sanitary issue for me personally) and comes back with a used foot file that I can see someone else's skin on. This was when it was over for me. I said I would pay for the gel removed and I wanted to leave. I tried to do it very quiet and not make a big deal but he was loudly discussing it with the owner in another language. He and the owner where saying I owed for a full pedicure because he "cut my nails". He barely trimmed anything, I still had skin around my toes and cuticles he had not even touched. The owner agreed and offered to take over but the gal she was working on would have been impacted if this gentleman was to take over as I do not believe he knew at all what he was doing. Unfortunately, If I could put 0 stars I would. I wanted to like this place and make the switch from my go to place over the hill because of the convenience of how close this place is to my house. Husband and wife - Friendly Place - Run down / mom & pop feel I came in for both Mani / Gel Pedi. Now, this portion is about my manicure experience with Michelle: I have my real nails covered with hot gel to keep them strong. They had grown out and I either wanted them to be refilled or grinded off and a new coat of hot gel put on top. Michelle at first didn't know what I was talking about. I had to show her the product my other salon uses off my phone and only then she told me that was an old style. Okay... Can you do it or not? She suggested gel powder because she didn't have hot gel. Okay, sure let's do the gel powder. I also asked if she is removing it all or just a fill. She said she would be removing it all. She did NOT remove it all and it was a fill. I also had coffin shaped nails. Some were coffin shaped, some were rounded, some were so filed down on one side my nail looks crooked now. I don't know if her nail polishes are old af or what but there were not enough coats of polish on my nails. The tips were translucent, missing some polish on the sides. The fill she was doing was not seamless either. I can see bumps on top and wasn't flush with my real nail. I had no designs, just gel polish. This was $50!!!! Charged me for full set of gel powder, when she only did a fill and so many fuck ups. Now, this portion is for her husband who did my gel pedicure: I'll start off with the good. He was gentle when it came to my big toe and my ingrown nail. The massage on my calves were nice, too gentle for me, but the hot towel was a nice touch. NOW, for the bad, first off the massage chair was run down, it only worked if it was strapped to arm rest under saran wrap ties. Next, the worst feeling. He used the dremel on my gel polish toes DRY. He did not use alcohol or anything to loosen it. He hurt and burned my toes, because of how rough he was being trying to remove the polish. To me that's inexperience.The polish itself did not stay on . I was still there and it wasnt dry, so I can vouch for the person who got a gel pedicure and just wore shoes and they mess up. WORST pedicure I have ever gotten!!! This pedicure was $40!!! So, I am an unhappy customer and out $90 for less than mediocre work. For this price at my original nail salon, I get my hot gel mani / gel pedi plus designs (hand- painted/ 3D designs) - flawless, very strong, lasts over a month. Michelle and her husband seem very nice and I get it hustle and make your paper, but that's the last time I get robbed and stuck with shitty nails. Y'all can keep robbing the rest of these mountain folks. If you like her services, to each their own, just saying for the $ you can have better and quality nails. UPDATE: It's been 1.5 wks - the gel powder mani - my middle finger already cracked, where she put the fill. SMH! Never again. Sticking to my original spot all the way in Milpitas. read more

Just a note that it took another skilled manicurist over an hour to fix my destroyed nails after this manicure. I had to get a complete new set, the acrylic was so poorly applied that several of my nail beds were wet and in danger of getting a fungus, and it was extremely painful to have the acrylic removed because Michelle did not apply nail tips to my broken nails last time, she just used the acrylic to fake it. I will NEVER EVER GO HERE AGAIN. But, hey, repairing it cost $17 LESS than Michelle charged me, INCLUDING TIP. read more

So many nail places are an explosion of germs, smells and chatter, but Michelle has created a wonderfully quiet, clean and comfortable space to get a manicure or pedicure. With a brand new space in the Courtyard center by the gold-domed church, Michelle has sleek massage chairs (that work!) and everything is spotlessly clean. Her pedicure is the best I've ever had--precision work and deep acupressure massage. I've had 4-5 pedicures with her, and each one has been deliriously good :) Everyone I've referred to her has raved about their experience with her. I have never found a nail salon I was completely happy with till now! My friend & I got pedicures and the people are very friendly, the leg/foot massage was awesome, they didn't over trim the nails, the color was done with detail, and we even splurged on flowers that were super beautiful! So happy & can't wait to do it again! Update : My friend & I went for a mani/pedi on a busy day and the quality of service was not nearly the same as our first experience. It was very rushed this time & our nails were jagged from the rushed filing & the paint job was not done as carefully & it was nowhere near as enjoyable as our first experience. We would have rather they told us they were too busy than to squeeze us in with not enough time to do a proper job. If we go back we will definitely only be going on non busy days. read more

The couple that runs this place are so nice and welcoming. I went in for a pedicure and felt the customer service was great. It was very slow in the salon which might be why I had a good experience. The reason for two stars is because my polish has already chipped on several of my toes and it has been less than one week. I've never had polish chip this easy and for $30 it's really a bummer. I don't know why it took me so long to finally stop in Michelle's but I now have a permenant nail technician in Michelle. Her salon is extremely clean and tastefully decorated and Michelle is one of the nicest nail technicians I have ever met. She is so sweet and easy to talk to! Her spa massage chairs are well maintained and everything looked so clean. The spa chair even had water lights that changed color as the bubbles soothed my tootsies. All her equipment was spotless with none of the usual grunge and dust you find in high volume nail salons. Even the polish wall had clean dust free bottles that looked filled and new. After shaping my toe nails up she gave me a wonderful leg massage and even wrapped my feet and calves in hot towels and bagged them for a bit. She was fastidious about making sure I liked the polish and she finished it up with a cute sparkly flower. So it was a french pedicure with art for $28 bucks!! She even sent me out the door with the pedicure flip flops. I will be back as soon as I am ready for another pedicure. What a jewel in the forest we have in Michelle's and I had been passing it by for so now long without even knowing it. read more

As the other reviewers have said, this salon is immaculate and friendly. I dropped in on a Saturday afternoon with no wait for a pedi. The massage soaking chair was awesome - a real treat. This is a very welcome addition to our mountain valley; I will no longer need to go all the way to Saratoga or Santa Cruz for my mani/pedi. Michelle is great. She really took her time and attended each toe carefully, making sure I was happy with every detail. This means so much to me when someone is working on my body. She was very friendly but not overly intrusive, and there was a TV playing so there were no awkward silences when we weren't chit-chatting. I thought the prices were pretty reasonable too ($35 for a gel pedi). There were no other customers when I was there which made me sad, so go patronize this place! Great place for a pedicure. Very clean, well organized and Michelle and her partner (husband?) were friendly and helpful. My friend and I walked in on a Saturday afternoon with no appointments. There was already a client in one of the two pedi stations, so the other station was prepared and my friend went first. We both had basic pedis, which consisted of the spa soak, pampering and massaging of our toes, feet and legs, and polish application. Michelle also painted flowers on two of my friend's toes for no extra charge! I had Warren and he did a great job on my entire pedi. I would visit this place again if I were in the area. read more

I'm not sure why, especially because others think this place is great ,but after three times I will never be back, I wish I could give her half a . Firstly -sanitation: I watched a dirty drill bit be used on my nail and I asked if it was sanitized, knowing it was not, and was completely ignored! Eww. Second -customer service/consistency : I went in for a basic acrylic fill, which is/has been $15, i dont get gel, i do it myself because i like to have the colors on hand (haha no pun intended) for touch ups. So, just a basic fill, granted she or he would take my gel off but I would not have her redo it just the basic $15 fill. Last time I was in she charged me $40!! I told her I didn't have enough cash because I was expecting it to be half that -per usual- her actual human response to another human was "pay me with your card" I was appalled... I too am in the beauty industry, I could never do that! I would go out of business. I couldn't believe it. I still can't. I believe in paying people for their time. And, I know her taking my other gel off takes time, I would always tip her $10 though and the price was always the $15.. why wouldn't she tell me ahead of time that the price had changed? It was so rude. Also- ALL my nails were shaped differently ! How on Earth! You only had one job, lady. But, alas, I guess I rubbed you the wrong way somehow. Super flexible schedule, sweet, great memory and very clean. I used to get my nails done is Los Gatos for years and I went to Michelle when I couldn't get into my regular place and her work lasted 4 weeks, was done exactly the way I wanted and I have never gone back to the more pricey Los Gatos salon. I have had full sets, pedis manis and fills and everything is always done right. Great price and great selection of colors. I recommend the gel colors, no chipping fading or waiting for it to dry! read more

The absolute worst pedicure I have ever had in my life. Feet barely scrubbed or massaged. Cuticles not trimmed. He barely touched my feet and the color looks like it was applied by a blind pirate with hooks for hands. I will never go back here again. read more

I will never go back to this place again. I went in for a full set of acrylic nails. She asked about gel nails while I was on the phone and my friend said gel. She also didn't confirm with me. Then she asked if I wanted a flower. I didn't know she was going to charge me as it was my anniversary. She put one stupid looking flower on each hand and then charged me $10.00. I then had to ask her twice to fix them because they looked terrible. They still do. Not to mention there were three ladies there and she was all alone for over 45 min which meant that two people had to sit and wait for her to start their pedicures. read more

This is what I tried to post before and just realized doesn't come up: I discovered Michelles Nails by accident a few months ago, and I've been back regularly ever since. She is such a sweetheart and she has magic hands, a true artist. Prices are reasonable, the salon is clean and comfy, they have massaging chairs, and Michelle remembers the temperature I like my water for my pedi's so it's never too hot or too cold always just the perfect temperature ^^ you also get a super dope foot and calf massage, and hot towel wrap, or if you're getting a mani, you get this awesome hand massage, it's so relaxing and feels amazing. As if that wasn't enough, she has mad skills! Omg her hands fly when she does my cuticles, so fast her fingers blur and totally accurate- if I tried to do that to myself, I'd be bleeding all over the place. She has excellent taste and when she's done, my nails always look so pretty, I get mad compliments too. Also this place is super reasonably priced... Once I went to get my nails done on a Monday, and Michelle's is closed on Mondays so I had to go somewhere else, and OMG not only did they not do anywhere close to as good a job, but when I went to pay, it was like twice the price as Michelle charges for a mani/pedi. Today I opened a box on her counter and found all these examples of intricate art she can paint on your nails, like tiger stripes, all sorts of different flowers, asian writing, leopard spots, tiny baby feet, fruits, vines [she does this BY HAND!!!] she is AMAZING. I definitely want those tiny perfect flowers next time I go in. They also have just about every color polish and every color glitter you could possibly dream of, cause this is the bestest most awesome nail salon in the whole history of planet earth, no exaggeration. The one thing I will say is that, even though her husband is also super nice, he's not as skilled as his wife. They handle it pretty well though, with him doing the more basic aspects and then she'll do the more difficult and important things. They are such an adorable couple.
