I called 15 minutes before and asked if I could come and get my toes done in 15 minutes and she said yes. When I came in and she said what do you want and I said I'd like a pedicure and she cut me off and said we don't have time. I replied You just told me on the phone that you did have time. Pointing to a chair that ended up being broken. I've been here about six times over the last year, often with friends. Invariably, something will turn out very disappointing. Calling ahead for an appointment doesn't matter - making you wait sometime over a half hour after getting your feet in the water (so you can't leave). Putting only one coat of polish on your nails and calling it good. Cutting so deep, your toe will bleed profusely, but they just leave it in the water until it stops. Setting the timer for a 10 minute massage, showing the timer to me, and then using at least three of those minutes cleaning the wash basin and tidying up. I keep going back because the place has a nice look and curb appeal, but it's well past time for me to quit them and try someplace else. read more

Have been going there for years. Couple of times they cut or poked too hard that made me bleed. But that can happen so I let it slide. I have done waxing many times and last time the rep was distracted and did a horrible job on my eyebrows that it looks ugly and uneven. I have to pencil it in. Instead of apologizing , she said looks ok will be fine . As it was closing I left and came home and saw how bad it was . I do not recommend the place . I have been a regular here for years and every time i come here all they do is talk bad about every customer (I have a translating app) last time I came in and spent 60 dollars on a fill And my polish chipped within 30 minutes of getting them done and they argued with me to fix it. This was my first and last time to this place. I only felt like a bank here. I decided to treat myself to a manicure. I asked about chrome polish since it had always looked cool. When I expressed how I was confused about how it works (cause I thought it was polish and it's actually a powder), she responded, "yeah, I can tell when you asked about polish". Her tone was not one of patience and understanding, but of condescension. Once the woman started working on my nails, she asked me something, but I did not understand, so I repeated back what I thought I heard and she said nothing. She then went to grab her manicure tools and I then I figured out that she asked if I wanted them cut shorter, so I said, "Oh, cut shorter, yes, please". No response. After she cut the nails on my right hand, I asked if she could actually go shorter...and yep, you guessed...no response. Hmm, I thought, maybe she didn't hear me. So I repeated, and asked her again if she could cut them shorter. She replies, "later". Ooookay. Someone's grouchy. Hah, but not grouchy when she started to upsell me... I misunderstood her offering to massage my hands, thinking it was a part of the regular manicure, but no, it was the "deluxe". I found this out when she charged me $50 for a manicure!! My bad for not asking to see their menu or the prices. She made me uncomfortable too when she proceeded to mention getting gel polish next time 3 times throughout the manicure. Enough already! The doctor I saw at Kaiser said my mail may never grow properly again. Always get the name of your mail tech!! One of the employees damaged my nail bed. At first it appeared as just a hole in the cuticle but it's been a number of months now and as my doc said, it may never be the same. I walked out w nails in shambles. The manager B- Rated me today after I asked her to stop shoving me around, I asked if she could take some of the lifting off my nails before filling. She was very upset and went off after not wanting to do the service. She then told me I had a crocked thumb and I needed a whole new set of nails after already replacing one nail and starting the fill. I let her know I was going to cry and she said if I was going to cry it should be over something like my mother dying. My mother passed away over 5 yrs ago. She insisted to tell me the color I had before I walked in that was orange was ugly as well. She got up and huffed and puffed. Very uncomfortable. I ended up leaving unfinished. All she had to do was remove the lifting before the filling of the nails and she was just very uncomfortable and her whole vibe was hostile. My friend was getting a pedicure and it was so awkward. I noticed all of a sudden that the person who was managing the floor and moving between doing work and managing who goes where was berating another woman because she was comforting her daughter. no matter what that customer said, this person would not stop making her feel badly because she was holding her daughter to try to work something out. The entire staff pretended that there was no owner for quite some time before the person yelling at the other customer then claimed to be the owner but refused to tell me their last name. it's so weird. I am a returning customer who was always happy with the salon's service. I was seen as a walk in customer and was happy to be seen right away on my recent visit to the salon. It has been a long time since my chemo treatment that I finally made the trip in to have my gel nail polish removed and replaced with a manicure. I was pretty surprised that the nail tech was having a quiet earphone in place conversation during my entire session. She did direct me and asked questions as she deemed necessary. I would have been happy to have a couple of tips be put on for two short nails. Usually, a nail tech would ask. I didn't ask her nor did I feel comfortable to interrupt her phone conversation. So I didn't. The real surprise was when she used the same nail implement on me to clean her fingernail. I then realized that perhaps none of her implements were clean. Usually, the nail tech would open a clean package of implements just for my service. She put back the same nail bits used on me back in her box. The bowl to soak my fingers in looked grungy but the water looked fresh and felt warm. I paid cash with a tip included. No good bye or thank you!!!! This is not the nail salon I remember. I know 2 places in Santa Cruz that charge $25. But I was in Scotts Valley so I stayed. The lady cut the cuticle on my big toe too far back. It bled and it was very painful. The oedicure and leg massage were very quick, no hot stones like I am used to in the other places I go. As I left I noticed a sign that said 3% discount for cash payments. My pedicure at came to the desk, did not say an amount owed, grabbed my $40 and walked away. I can't recommend this pace. I won't be back. read more

The quality is good, however the service has changes! The women who I believe manage are also the women that do acrylic/gel nails. Both of them are so rude. First, the upselling is not cool: i usually get a BASIC pedicure but decided to give myself a treat and picked the one a tier ABOVE basic. The nail tech employee tried to upsell me to the third tier. I spent a couple of minutes reading the Menu and had made a mindful choice, not open to upselling. Second: she did not check and focus on the thicker dry skin spots before she exfoliated with the scrubber. I had to point out the obvious spots she missed. Worst of all: please don't watch a video while you're giving the massage! It was weak and you were distracted. I also didn't hear the timer go off. We came here early in the morning and it was not busy at all! I had a previous SNS/gel manicure that had to be removed and my manicurist really took her time to remove everything gently. We wanted dipped nails with extensions and glitter ombré. These ladies really delivered! I gave them a second chance after hating my nails the 1st time. My daughter and I came in for pedis and a full set. I asked for shorter nails and squared. The lady that did my nails hurt me numerous times and now my fingers are so sore. They seemed annoyed when I asked to fix what they did so I just kept them. On top of it I paid with Apple Pay and needed to do 3 transactions because you can't charge more than $100 in one transaction. They also charge at 3% for each transaction as well.
