We stopped in out of curiousity to grab some dinner since we were in the area. When we arrived, there was no hostess that greeted us. We were told by the bartender/server to sit anywhere we would like. It appeared that there was a meeting about to take place as many members were sitting at the bar ordering drinks. There were only a few tables and a huge bar in the middle of the room. We were handed a few menus and just kept it simple with some burgers. They were surprisingly delicious and tasted super fresh. All of the burgers/sliders came with a side of tater tots or fries. Service was kind of slow but there was only one woman handling the bar and serving food. Overall, I would definitely come back for some drinks and a bite to eat.

I usually like whiskeys and bourbons, but there were so many choices I wasn't sure what to try. Upon finding out I prefer sweeter drinks, she recommended the Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon. Her recommendations to others in our group was on point too. I will definitely come again if I'm in the area.

The food gets ordered and served. I've gone to the bar one more time to refill my water. When the food comes out after our appetizers are cleared... she serves everyone's food except mine. She just leaves mine in the middle of the table and doesn't even ask if we need anything else before she leaves. One more water refill in and I had to grab an extra napkin, an extra plate for my friends kid, and paper napkins for the kid all myself. Overall, it's the least interaction I've gotten from a server. I think she got the tip she served. I wouldn't have done so if she hadn't given me attitude for talking to the manager about our dissatisfaction. Meanwhile, she comes by and talks about dessert and doesn't offer to refill any drink again. It's not like I went and told them but they came by and asked and I felt the need to share. Place is awesome. I can say I have been here at least 100 times in the past 7 years. Hands down best cheeseburgers I have ever had. Very mixed crowd from punks to students to jocks to suits. Internet jukebox. Good place to pregame for concerts at the Wellmont or seedier venues like the Meatlocker. Kid friendly but please follow the law on the napkin holders... A friend invited me to go to a Tierney's Tavern on a Sunday evening for a comedy show. This is on the second floor and they had a pretty descent crowd. They serve your typical bar food and the three comedians were great. It was an enjoyable evening. Enjoy the paper plates. Embrace the burger with 2 hands and be brave enough to get the cheese fries. They offer your regular bar food like wings, mozzarella sticks, and burgers, but also salads made with actual mixed greens and not just iceberg lettuce. Their fries were good, as well as the quesadilla, chicken fingers and steak salad (although crazy spicy so beware). The bartenders were so friendly, it must be a good place to work. I loved the retro atmosphere, and will be back to sit out on the patio next time!
