This is probably the worst experience I have ever had with a company…read more After dropping $28K (non-insurable damage) on remediation and reconstruction, my takeaway is that I should have listened to the constant red flags throughout the month-long process and just switched to a different contractor. You assume high dollar means high quality; throw the assumption out the window - apparently you can hire anybody off the street to do this work. First, before I could even sign a contract and pay a deposit, the remediation crew came unexpectedly knocking at my door to start work at 9am - the problem is that this was also BEFORE ASBESTOS TESTING. Servpro could have seriously endangered my house, my family, and their crew with mesothelioma due to incompetence - THIS IS INEXCUSABLE! Once the contract commenced, the remediation should have taken two days, but dragged on and on over three weeks due to laziness, being "too hot" (in spring), and I kid you not, being scared. Why these people signed up to do construction work if they are scared is beyond me, but the last thing you want to hear is that a $28K crew is "too scared" to complete a job. Every time the crew pretended to be finished, I had to expose myself to the damaged area to check over their work, point out the problems and get yelled at by office staff, and have the project manager come verify that low and behold, the client is not lying. In total the PM was at my home 5 times to ensure that the 22 line items in our contract were completed. Near the end of this process we uncovered an additional area with damage that needed an addendum, which does make getting quotes difficult if the initial estimate is not thorough. This additional work required two different remediation crews to complete since the office started catching on that the first crew was going to take too long. Luckily the reconstruction crew was completely different (a subcontractor) that actually did the job right the first time. They got their tasks knocked out over two days - and did it correctly without incident. Unfortunately for my timing, this all happened as the company exchanged franchisee owners, so everything will just be ignored as "old ownership problems", but the feedback here is not on ownership, but with the ethos of how this location can get by doing the bare minimum while charging top dollar; all with no accountability. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I will give this business zero star for…read moretheir absolutely poor quality of work and unprofessional customer care by the owner. I recently hired the company to clean a house that is going to be on sale soon. The house is pretty much cleared out, newly painted, and staged with a few pieces of furniture with almost no decorations inside. The purpose of the cleaning was specifically addressed when the owner came for an estimate, which was a 'deep cleaning'. At least, I expected to see some shine and sparkle on sinks and faucets. I was told that two cleaning crew came late (it was scheduled at 8 am) and one person left at 1 pm. I found that one remaining lady was working alone (without much of proper materials) until 6 pm, and the house wasn't getting close to where it was supposed to be. I called the owner and explained what was going on. By that time, there was still dust on most of the furniture, ceiling fans were not touched, water marks weren't taken care of, windows weren't cleaned, and stains in the kitchen were not properly removed (and yes, there were more). I took some photos and sent to the owner, and she sent two ladies with cleaning matetials after an hour or so. Now the drama began. They were so loud talking to each other and talking to the owner (as if they were fighting) while they were in the house. They seemed quite incompetent on what they were supposed to be doing. Time passed. I finally had to point out some of the places that need attention so I could have the house back, as there were other things to take care of before the photo session happens in two days. More time passed, and it's 9 pm. The cleaning is not complete. They left after 10 pm with the payment. Next morning, I could see things that should have been done the day before. The morning light even highlighted the dusty spots and stains everywhere and I got the impression that they did not touch most of the furniture with attention. I took photos, sent to the owner, and said that the house does not seem to be cleaned by 'professionals'. The owner said that she does not believe if the photos were legit and made wrongful accusations against me. I told her that I have absolutely no reason to lie to her. When I told her that the work/business should be done with trust between company and client, she texted, "lady, I don't need your opinion." When I asked her about the incomplete job, her response was "what do you want?" Her voice and text messages were rude and there was no sign of apology. I told her that her sincere apology should come first after such a bad, unprofessional service, as I wasn't looking for a discount, refund, or having them over in the house again. If you are wondering about the size of the house, it is just over 2,000 sq ft with fully finished (empty, carpeted) basement with a half bath and small window. Once again, the house is staged for sale with minimum furniture. After dealing with such unprofessional and rude owner, paying $380.00, and being wrongfully accused of sending her "forged pictures", I still have not received any apology from her. At this point, I do not need it. This is the reason I wrote this review to warn people who are looking for home cleaning service in northern VA. Read less (Update) Laundry room was flooded after the cleaning crew left! The house cleaning was horrible enough and I found the basement flooded after my first use of washer since the ladies left. The lady who cleaned the washer did not put the hoses back after cleaning it. Why bother it in the first place? I had to vacuum at least 25 gallons of water!!! What a horrible experience and such a bad company!!!!
