As you can read from all the poor reviews (try to read in chron order because some of them are hidden and more recent complaints) this is not a cleaning service you need to take a chance with in your home. My daughter paid for 2 workers for one hour to clean an empty apartment, so pretty easy. Floors were her #1 concern and they are wood laminate. Not real wood so you would never use full strength greasy Murphy's Oil Soap on them. But they did. I slipped and fell and thankfully was only bruised in 3 places. On real wood floors you use 1/4 cup to a gallon. These 2, a man and a woman knew nothing about cleaning and did nothing to improve the cleanliness of the floors or anything else. Tidy sent a cleaner who came with his wife and NO cleaning supplies or equipment of their own. Ultimately not only used our supplies, they helped themselves to some extra. The worst is they went into our bedroom closet, found a small safe, found a screwdriver and pried off the top. Made off with $200 - and a $20,000 family watch. That explained why they suddenly left early. Let me save you time, go anywhere else for a home cleaning. I wish I had read the reviews before I booked. The reviews saying the people will cancel just before the event, are correct. In my experience, she claimed to be right outside (despite not seeing her) and telling me there was no parking (despite me looking right at a spot in front of my apartment). I tried telling her about it and she kept insisting that no, I was wrong, and there is nothing available--and it's street sweeping day. Street sweeping in Los Angeles is only on one side of the street. The other side of my street had had space if she was really out there looking. By the time she called again, I tried directing her but someone had taken the spot. But had she been out there actively looking, she should have seen it? Also, I empathize with this issue and know now NOT to book someone on street sweeping days/hours (I don't have a car so I'm oblivious sometimes), but I'm confused as to how this is supposed to become my issue when this is Los Angeles. Has this person never worked in Los Angeles? Is it my job to provide parking? Or is it her job just to get to the job on time? I'm not trying to be a major bitch but I'm sincerely confused as this is my first time requesting a cleaning service in Los Angeles. I've only ever had someone come when I lived in New York City and never had an issue like this. She was so rude to me in the texts as well. It was impossible to get a hold of customer service. I requested a "deep cleaning" for my two-story house. I just had some construction done in the house and there was drywall dust everywhere. They charged me $373 for this "Deep Cleaning". Two young ladies showed up and the first thing one of them does, is show me her phone which says, "I do not speak or understand English" Red Flag! How do I communicate? How do they know what chores they are supposed to do? So, I start walking them through each room of the house and gesture what I wanted clean. Mirrors, shower glass doors, never cleaned. Like most of these pop up housecleaning services, I've noticed that the cleaners only want to do very light surface cleaning. For $50+ an hour, I expect scrubbing, where needed. They want to just swiffer the floor and dust. NOOOOOOO I am not rich. In fact, I am poor, but older and not as mobile as I used to be so I hire cleaning services. I am never really satisfied with any of these services, but some help was better than none. I usually spend hours cleaning after the cleaner leaves because they miss so many things. How can you clean a tub and there still be hair in it? Well about a month ago, a cleaner named Candy (Latino, overweight) shows up with another person and asks if it's ok for the two of them to clean. I wasn't really comfortable with a 2nd person who I don't know coming into my house, but I agreed. I had two long handled teaspoons that I used for specific foods. I only had two of these. After they left I noticed they weren't in the silverware tray, but assumed they were in the dishwasher. I forgot about it until I went to eat one of the foods that I used these spoons for and that's when I realized the spoons were missing. So not only was the cleaning subpar, but now they helped themselves to my silverware? Since weeks went by since the cleaning when I reported it to TIDY, they questioned me about the time that had passed. Folks, I live alone. I've had no visitors. These ladies took my spoons, or misplaced them. TIDY didn't take it seriously enough in my opinion. Another time I had a young lady moving so slow, she cleaned my kitchen, minus the floor and two very small bathrooms (one is never used) minus the floors and then said time was up. The main thing I need them to do is the FLOORS. I ended up complaining to TIDY and they refunded me some of my money. The final straw for me is that I am constantly having cleaners cancel at the last minute. I often book before holidays and when I am expecting guests so this is a HUGE inconvenience. We hired tidy a month in advance for a cleaning service we would need this weekend. We filled out their forms and indicated the areas we wanted cleans per the app and instructions. We even took rooms off of the cleaning service that were not needed, and items on each of the room to reduce the amount that needed to be clean focusing on specific issues. Immediately upon booking we were given a cleaning person. Who somehow had a "family emergency" that they knew about a month in advance. That's fine we were given someone else by the name of Olga. Assuming that we filled out the questionnaire and creating a map of our home and indicated what needed to be cleaned, confirmed a cleaning person, and receive no other communication we thought everything was fine. Upon arrival the woman, Olga, was immediately reticent to complete the service. We are in a 950 square-foot two bedroom two bath home. Only one bedroom need to be cleaned. And we do not have a separate kitchen dining room living room they are pretty much run together as one room. It is a small home. She spent over an hour mopping the bedroom floor, but not moving any of the rugs, and only cleaning part of the bathroom. She then complained about how long it took her to just clean those two things. I have done this myself we do not have a lot of items, the dusting and vacuuming is 30 minutes top. She supposedly scrubbed the shower but there is still cleaning dusting products everywhere. If it was scribed it was not rinsed yet she ran the water for 15 minutes.... The sink is clean, the toilet is clean, but the cabinets were not dusted and there are still cobwebs behind things. The floor of the bedroom was mopped, but the rubs were not moved, and the corners and behind things are not dusted. The list then begins to expand from there. She left exactly at 4:30 which was 2.5 hours that she was here. She did not do the tubs, she did not wipe the cabinets, she only cleaned half of the windows, she did not dust any of the fans or any of the requests we had on our list. There is dust on top of the doors, and the baseboards around the house were uncleaned. She was short and had no stool or ladder, so some things are only half wiped; And clearly she used the same rag to wipe surfaces, and things like television screens because there are smears on everything! She did not refer to the list. She then became angry about the list and suggested that Tidy did not know what it was doing. She said she was only hired to "tidy up" not clean. We paid $150 or more! I left 3 hours of work to make this happen! She did items that I asked her specifically not to do and we're not checked on the list, which she scoffed at, such as the dishes; however even then she did not put them anywhere that they actually belong for some reason putting cups with bowls and plates with cups. It actually was a little disturbing as she didn't do what I asked, did what she wanted, including things I asked her not to do, and then put them in the wrong place clearly having opened both cabinets. She rapidly left and then suggested I hire her on a Friday when she has time off to do "personals," so she coils get all the money... I don't know who's house she cleans but it is clearly not done right. When I complained to tidy they gave me a $15 credit for another service. They did not address my issues. They asked me to leave a review and a positive comment about the woman who cleaned the house. And there's no way in hell that I'm going to ever hire them again. First off, I am not one to leave a negative review, but this company and their "Pros" - what they refer to their cleaner (ironic as they are the furthest away from a pro as possible) as is the most outrageously unprofessional company and group of staff ever. I have never left a negative review, but this place deserves NEGATIVE 100 stars. The cleaner showed up late and left more than an hour early and worst part, didn't even clean 10% of what I had requested. They provide you with a "checklist" - e.g., clean the fridge out, vacuum the master bedroom carpet etc. The cleaner failed to complete 8 out of the 10 items I had listed and decided to leave early. When I had texted the cleaner about the job and why she had not cleaned the areas I specifically mentioned via the checklist (in-app), and via text (which she acknowledged and said she will clean), she still did not clean it and instead, responded by saying "you need a deep cleaner, pick up the lint yourself" when in fact that is the service I requested for... Unbelievable. Who tells the customer to pick up their own lint on the floor when I am paying you for exactly that???? It only gets worse, when I request a refund, TIDY tries to make the process really difficult by hiding the pathway to requesting a refund and after going through all the trouble, wait for it.... they give me a $45 CREDIT for my NEXT cleaning. It's almost laughable because I would never ever engage them in any type of future work and they give me a credit for it? Useless. Utterly terrible business with horrific business practice, extremely unprofessional and WOULD NEVER USE AGAIN. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. How do I leave no stars? Not even a half? This is, by far, the worst customer service experience of my life and I'm in the hospitality industry and have experience much! I was charged the original $135 for the initial cleaning which was cancelled by the cleaner at the last minute. When I complained to find out why and what is happening, we rescheduled the cleaning and I was told via email about a $15 discount to be applied. The second cleaner arrived Saturday as I re-scheduled but she did not complete the scope of work I signed up for or we showed her around the house to do. We asked for 2 bathrooms and the kitchen to be cleaned in 4 hours. We got 1 bathroom, the family room and dry mop. That's it!!! Then, on top of the lousy work as the toilet still has a ring in it and dirt on the top and side, I was charged an additional $120! I have attempted to contact someone via email, text message and every time someone replies, hours later, they again disappear and I hear nothing. I have not had a conversation with anyone, as I have asked to do, to fix this situation or refund us the money for both charges, which I demand! I have emails, text messages, photographs and more to ensure that I have a case. Forget about cleaning, just refund all my money, immediately and I'll find a competent cleaner to help us. Not only am I in touch with my attorney, but I'm so pissed off at the lack of moral decency to reply to me and talk with me about this situation that I intend to take to the media and social media.
