One of my favorites during my Anna Maria island vacation!!! This spot is by the Mariana with an amazing view (saw dolphins) and fantastic service. I had the blackened grouper and it was the best I've ever had!!! The key lime pie for dessert is also a must have!!!! I can't wait to come back one day!!! They are also is adhering to Covid safely precautions by wearing masks and distancing the tables when possible. Make sure to wear bug spray if l sitting by the bar though! read more

This place was so awesome! Fresh seafood caught that morning and prepared so well! We took our five kids and sat outside. It was such a relaxed friendly vibe we all enjoyed. We had the grouper nuggets, Thai chili shrimp, grouper dinner, fish tacos, a burger, and some kids meals. The seafood was incredible and it was so nice to have fresh grouper when almost everywhere else sells frozen for almost the same price. Even the burger was really good! Open 11:30 to 8 PM seven days a week, Tide Tables is definitely a place to come for fresh, local seafood. If only the service had been better on a Friday afternoon, this would be a 5-star restaurant. (I'll reference that later in the review.) As vehicles enter the large parking lot backed up to the Intracoastal Waterway, they'll be stopped by an employee sitting under an umbrella; s/he is there to assure everyone is headed to Tide Tables. You'll need to walk to the restaurant entrance & wait until you are seated. (The entrance is on the back left side; the front glass door is locked.) There is a bar & limited seating inside, as well as limited seating outside-- approximately 6 tables around the outside Tiki bar, most w/ a good view of the water. But there are 18 to 20 yellow barstools surrounding the bartender(s). To catch the beautiful view, we selected an outside picnic table facing the water. There were three large, round fans near us to help w/ the high temperatures-- see pic. A yellow umbrella topped each table, & upbeat music filled the air. If the bridge were to open, we had prime seating to witness it. Our order was taken within a decent amount of time by a male server who was short on personality. Even with the restaurant not very busy @ the time, it would be the last time we saw him until he handed us the bill (after we had to request it). What was worse, though, is that not one server outside (& there were multiple staffers walking beside us on numerous occasions) EVER made eye contact w/ us after we ordered. It was as though we were invisible. Twice I had to grab the attention of a second male waiter to get an extra plate & something else, which I cannot recall @ this time. Our water glasses were never refilled, & had the food not been so good, I would never consider returning. (My companion will not return w/ me.) Poor service is a management issue. But THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. We split two entrees-- the "low tide" fried Grouper w/ fries & slaw (see pic) & the "low tide" fried shrimp w/ beans & slaw (see pic). The "low tide" serving is smaller than the "high tide" serving. The Grouper & shrimp tasted fresh & BOTH ENTREES WERE DELICIOUS. The fries were very good (& I don't often like fries), & we both agreed that the baked beans were EXCELLENT. They were FLAVORFUL & definitely not from a can. We also LOVED the slaw-- fresh w/ tiny pineapple pieces that gave it an OUTSTANDING flavor. ZERO COMPLAINTS ON THE FOOD-- just KUDOS to the chefs. The menu at Tide Tables should offer enough to please every person who walks through the door, although it is modest in size. For alcohol, there are ten wines & sangria. There's also craft beer and bottles, along w/ three other alcoholic beverages. There are eight "Mainsail" Baskets which include shrimp, grouper, mahi mahi, scallops, fish tacos, barbeque ribs, Mojo Chicken, & a combo basket. Side choices are French Fries, Baked Beans, Yellow Rice, & "Veggie of the Day." Patrons can ask about the "Daily Captain's Special"-- it's not described on the menu. Available are two soups, five appetizers (Grouper Bites, Conch Fritters, Peel and Eat Shrimp, Fresh Fried Mushrooms, & Fresh Smoked Grouper Spread), & a Ceasar Salad w/ three available proteins. The six "Dock Side" Sandwiches are Shrimp Po' Boy, MoJo Chicken, Grouper, Mahi Mahi, All American Burger, & a "Veggie Burger of the Day." Kids 10 & under can select from a Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Chicken Strips, & a Hamburger. My first visit to Bradenton. The beach side is pretty scenic. I was hungry and found a nearby restaurant. The staff were really pleasant and inviting. The bar or patio had a good view of the harbor. I enjoy my meal and maybe next I should order some beers. Definitely would return. read more

If I did not live 2 hours away from Tides, this would be my every weekend lunch spot!!! We were visiting Anna Maria Island for my birthday and this place was on my bookmark list. It is right off a thoroughfare street with a big sign, so you cannot miss it. It is backed up against the bay. Plenty of parking space. A masked greeter socially distanced greeted us in the parking lot. She joyfully explained the new Covid process, no inside dining, go around the back for bar sitting, outside dining. The hostess stand is in the back, she had a QRG code for the menu, it did not work so she handed us a paper menu. All the tables are nicely spaced and the bar area is marked off to avoid sitting closely. We ordered fried grouper platter and jumbo fried shrimp platter both with french fries. I had a ice tea (I always forget to say sweet) my husband had the pink lemonade. People, let me tell you about this food. OMG. First, everything was perfectly fried, not greasy at all!! When my husband cut into that grouper he was ecstatic. The fish was fresh and juicy, no dryness at all. The batter was light on both fish and shrimp. We are strong believers that fresh and good seafood does not need heavy seasoning. Light salt and light seasoned batter is all it needs. Spectacular! Fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The food is served with ketchup and tartar sauce and cocktail sauce on the side. The coleslaw was good, not great but complimented the meal. If you blink, you will miss it! Snuggled in right off the Cortez Bridge side. I dont think its is possible to get any fresher fish than from this place. We literally sat and watched the fisherman filet the fish on the dock off the boat, bring it in, cook it and serve us. The grouper bites are a "must have"'. Fish tacos are delicious as well. We chose blackened and they were not salty at all. Draft beer served in a frozen mug, Hell yes! What we liked most was the relaxed attire. Some wore shorts and a polo, other where in swim trunks and a T shirt. Hot sweaty with sand on you from the beach, NO problem sit at a table outside by the water. Little warm need to cool off? Sit in the a/c at a bench or the long bar overlooking the water. Staff is Very friendly, they actually acknowledge the fact that they are there to serve you and they appreciate you being there as well. To many establishments have half assed help that would really rather be somewhere else doing nothing. I don't know where us Americans lost our sense of pride and accomplishment in the food service world, but this place definitely has their team on track. read more

Usually places like this rely solely on the views to bring in the customers and the food is mediocre but not this place! The views are great but the food is even better. The service was great. Our server was very attentive. I had the fish tacos but subbed it for grouper and it was probably the best fish tacos I've ever had. Also had a clam chowder to start and it was packed full of clams. Everything tasted super fresh. Needless to say, I can't wait to go back and have recommended this place to anyone that will listen to me lol. read more

The seafood here was delicious and super fresh, grouper is caught right there and the shrimp is from the gulf. My grandmother had the grouper fried and loved it; she is hard to please. Even the chicken sandwich I had was delicious. Don't sleep on the conch fritters and Key Like pie, it's one the best I've had in years. We loved our visit to Tide Tables! We got there at a busy dinner time during spring break, but we were still seated quickly. And they have a friendly staff member in the parking lot so that even though the lot was small, parking was easy. I got the fish tacos, which were amazing! I loved the Asian sauce on them that added a great flavor, but so filling that I couldn't eat all three tacos. My husband got the Mahi sandwich fried, and he enjoyed his meal too. We took a piece of key lime pie to-go with us, and it was perfection. This will be our go-to dinner spot when we come back to the area! read more

Amazing place. I tried this restaurant today while vacationing. I live in Iowa. Good and fresh seafood is not a luxury I have living there. I was missing some good seafood, and this place delivered. I got the combo basket (Mahi, shrimp and scallops), fried, with coleslaw and fries. The flavor was amazing, very fresh. The breading was light and crispy. Seafood was cooked perfectly. You can also get the basket jerked or grilled as well instead of fried. The place is right on the pier so there is a ton to take in while waiting for your food, which didn't take long at all. Great decor, pretty much what you'd expect from a seafood shack. The staff is awesome from the lady who was running the parking to the waitstaff. Everyone was friendly and attentive. If you live here and haven't had the chance to try this place you're missing out and you need to go. If you're visiting you need to go. Great job! read more

Food options are limited and basic, without a lot of creativity. It's a nice setting though, and really friendly people working there. For the prices and selection of food? I can't really recommend. Part of our first vacation as a family was spent exploring new places to eat on Anna Maria island. November weather made outdoor seating enjoyable for us and for our baby. We shared fish sandwiches and savoured home made fries. Clean and friendly place, it will be our come back to location. It was a bit pricey for our budget, but totally worth it when you order fresh catch of the day. Sitting on the water is definitely a plus, plenty of parking space. Their bathrooms are not equipped with changing tables, but our little one did not mind being changed in the car. I definitely recommend this place whether you are with a big company, family, or having a romantic lunch. Their servers are quick and frriendly. Where better to get fresh seafood than right on the water at Tide Tables! When we arrived we were told the wait would be 45mins to an hour, but after only about 15 minutes we were sat! They have a nice system set up where you can put your name on the waitlist and head over to the tiki bar to grab a drink or two while you wait and sit by the water. Our bartender Matt was great, service was quick and friendly! The fish of course was delicious and fresh and we left with full belly's. Love that they have multiple options for seating, but we sat right at the bar and got great service. I've heard great things about Tide Tables and so we decided to give it a try for a special dinner celebrating birthdays for several in our party. It was Friday after Thanksgiving and they were pretty busy. We were told no reservations so we took a chance and showed up around 6:30. We put our name on the list (a party of 8) and headed to the "tiki bar" which had limited seating to wait. There was a very limited drink selection at the tiki bar so we decided to wait until we were seated to order. We waited for almost an hour for our table which ended up being right next to the water so at least the view was nice. Drinks: Limited to beer and wine...no liquor license. Ambiance: We asked for outdoor seating and we were right on the water. I liked it. Food: I love seafood and Tide Tables has a good selection. I opted for the platter that had shrimp, scallops, and Corniva (a white flaky fish). I went with fried (as a treat) after being assured it was a light cornmeal/flour coating. It was really good. They also had grilled or broiled options. My entree came with fries and cole slaw. I would have preferred a baked potato or some sort of potato rather than fries but those were not an option. Several in our party don't eat seafood so they opted for the salad with chicken (they said the chicken was dry) and two had the burger which they said was pretty good. All in all it was a good dining experience and I would go back. It would be fun to go earlier in the evening (daylight) to see the fishing boats coming in to unload their catch. read more

We have been coming to the Sarasota / Tampa area for 20 years and are bummed we didn't know about Tide Tables sooner! Our kayak guide in Sarasota recommended it and the fish tacos were some of the best I have every had...no wonder they have won so many awards. We also started with the grouper bites which were fantastic. Lastly the kids ordered burgers and they devoured them. Really enjoyed our first visit to the Tide Tables restaurant. The restaurant is located at a marina and the fish is "right off the boat fresh" & excellently prepared. It certainly isn't fancy (plastic silverware & paper plates) but what matters is the fresh food, friendly service & water views. We started with the chicken & andouille sausage gumbo (delicious and not too spicy) and peel & eat shrimp cooked in Cajun spices with spicy cocktail sauce (yum). We then ordered a burger (standard burger fare) and the outstanding special of sesame Mahi stir fry over rice with slaw. Delicious! We had to take a slice of classic key lime pie for the road. The service was prompt and friendly. We definitely recommend & will return. read more
