Jambalaya

Food as always was delicious! Jambalaya and lobster duchess was had. Our server was great, food was on time and he had a great sense of humor. The place is small so you need to get there early otherwise you're going to wait! Recommend it!

Cute beachy vibe- a bit pricey but that's tourist traffic. Nice wait staff. Decent crab legs. Small quaint and assortment of menu items.

A must try for everyone and definitely a must return spot. One of the busiest restaurants in the area and rightfully so. If you love seafood, this is your spot on Siesta Key! Small local spot with a hut/diner looking exterior but packs a punch with their food and cozy interior. Our server was awesome and explained the menu in detail and gave perfect recommendations. The lobster special was a hit and worth every bite. I had the shore dinner boiled and it was perfect with the sides. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Clam strips were the best clam strips I ever had. My sister had the lobster roll and it's definitely a must try as you have the option for it to be warm or cold. Cornbread was great to munch on. My niece had the new your strip and this place definitely needs to stick with seafood only lol. Cause the New Strip was over cooked and dry and not tender at all. Best to stick with seafood only

Cape cod on Siesta Key. Was skeptical about Lobster pot due to the kitschy decor that is over the top Cape Cod. We visited for a lunch and had a Lobster Roll (a must if visiting the cape) and the catch of the day sandwich which was red snapper. The modestly sized Lobster Roll, $27.99, was packed with a 1/4 lb of sweet and perfectly prepared lobster. The side veggies in butter was just ok. Catch of the day sandwich was plentiful and well prepared. Nice portion of fries. Very good sangria. While our sandwiches were fairly expensive I did like that they had many more affordable options on the menu. Definitely a good lunch spot and likely worth a visit for dinner.

The best lobster rolls we have had. If you're looking for a lobster roll that is filled with delicious lobster and not just mayo - this is your spot. We got two sides with our rolls - coleslaw, fries, Mac and cheese - all excellent and went great with the lobster rolls. Wish all places made lobster rolls just like this one. Place is super cute inside and right at the corner of a street so you can sit overlooking the street to people watch. The service was great.

Located right in the heart of Siesta Key Village, this cozy restaurant has a lot of fans. As we were entering, a lady coming out past us said, "great food!" and she was absolutely right! I love both Lobster Bisque and Lobster Rolls and have had many during my trips up and down the eastern seaboard. But hands down, the Lobster Pot had the BEST versions of these two favs - even better than The Cape. The Watermelon Salad was also very good. Besides the "great food", our server was lovely and attentive. The House-Made Sangria was delicious as well. Highly recommend!

We are visiting Siesta Key from Massachusetts and searched out the Lobster Pot claiming New England lobster. The restaurant is small inside but comfortable seating was found in their front dining room facing Ocean Ave. Our waiter was quick to great and serve us. We ordered the Lobster Duchess and the Shire dinner with shrimp, scallops, and fish. Both were authentic to New England seafood dishes! Duchess was market price = $50 but was cooked perfectly! We ate it all! Which indicates it as a great meal. We would definitely return on our next visit. You should try!!

Went for lunch prior to starting our day of shopping. Very cute place, not a huge place but definitely enough seating. We got seated right away and our male server was very attentive and took our orders right away. I ordered the lobster roll with fries which was done really well. Lobster was fresh and not overly smothered in mayo like others make this sandwich. Hubby had a burger and it was very well cooked( medium rare). No complaints would definitely go again.

The chef was willing to to place the soup in two smaller portions-- essentially sharing one cup of soup. It was the best lobster bisque I have ever had. The bisque was creamy, not salty as some bisques can be and had chunks of lobster in it. We each had the hogfish. Blackened. This fish was unknown to us but it was delightful, the portions were large. It came with two sides. I had the black beans and rice and the wontons with a mango tomato salsa. Scrumptious. My sister's sides were the creamy coleslaw with just the right amount of mayo so as not to be runny and the sweet potato fries which were seasoned with just the right amount cinnamon sugar. Jasmin was our server and she answered all of our questions about the fish which is caught fresh from the Gulf each day. She was very welcoming and made us feel like we were visiting friends. The restaurant does have live music for the dinner crowd. If your family is visiting Florida and you want a meal that is high on the wow factor of taste-- this is the place.

Absolutely did not disappoint. My wife and I split the fish tacos and a side salad (not pictured), and the salad was actually a great size for sharing. Between the ahi nachos, shared salad, and the tacos, it ended up being the perfect amount of food for the two of us. We washed it all down with a couple local beers on tap and called it a perfect afternoon. The servers were great and even suggested a beer that paired really well with the meal, which was a nice touch. Parking is easy, and the view adds to the whole experience. You can sit back and watch boats cruising by while others are getting launched or lifted out of the water by the massive forklifts at the marina. It's just a really cool atmosphere. If you go, the ahi nachos are a must. Five years later and we'd come back again just for those.

I love Dry Dock Waterfront Grill and I always visit when I am in the Sarasota area. Dry Dock is always busy so I am also sure to make a reservation in advance using Open Table. Typically we sit inside but I know the back patio is popular too. If your timing and patience is perfect, you can also get a nice a nice window seat in the dining room that has sweeping views of Sarasota Bay. The inside atmosphere is bright and airy and although airy often translates to loud, Dry Dock thoughtfully put noise dampening panels on the ceiling. As far as food, I don't think you can go wrong. I always get something with grouper whether it be an entree, sandwich or tacos. On my most recent visit I got the grouper filet with coconut shrimp because I had originally been eyeing up the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Ultimately, we decided to get the rock crab claws for an appetizer which were good but more work than I planned even though they were pre-cracked. I felt like a Neanderthal trying to eat those crab claws in such a nice restaurant. No offense to the Neanderthals, of course! I have no idea what my husband had as it disappeared. After entrees, apps and bread, we were too stuffed for dessert. I think our server was Cari and she was awesome! Attentive, friendly, funny and quite possibly a mind reader and magician. She saw the hanger in my eyes and made bread magically appear. I hope I got her name correct because she was superb! Shout out to all of the great staff members at Dry Dock -we've never had a bad experience. I love Dry Dock and it will forever stay in my Sarasota rotation.

The outdoor Tiki area wrapped around the building and had a fun, relaxed vibe that made a great first impression. Our waitress, Rhonda, was excellent. She was friendly, answered all our questions, and knew the menu inside and out. What We Ordered: * Clam Chowder * Lobster Bisque * Maine Lobster Dinner with Corn on the cob and Coleslaw * Phil's Steamer Pot with half Lobster, Corn on the cob, Potatoes, Andouille Sausage, Clams, and Mussels Food Highlights: The soups came out first, and both were excellent. The Clam Chowder was topped with Bacon and Chives. It was the best we've had since moving to Florida--rich, flavorful, and satisfying. The Lobster Bisque was Creamy and equally delicious, with great flavor and tasty pieces of Bread mixed in. Our entrées arrived quickly, and we loved both dishes. The Lobster was cooked perfectly in both meals, and everything in Phil's Steamer Pot was hot, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. My wife, who is from Maine, said it was the best Lobster she has had in this area. Even the sides--the Corn on the cob and Coleslaw--were very good, and the Beer was served ice cold. One more thing each table featured a fish dip and crackers--an extra touch we really enjoyed. Fish Market and Final Verdict: Before leaving, we stepped inside to look at the Fish Market and were impressed by how fresh everything looked. The selection was large and added even more to the overall experience. This place was a pleasant surprise and delivered across the board with great Service, Food, Drinks, and Atmosphere. It easily ranks among my top 10 places to visit in the Sarasota area, and I can't wait to go back. For me, Walt's Fish Market earns 5 out of 5 stars. Gulf Coast Terry
