The pure definition of casual waterside eating - We stopped by for a 4:30 PM dinner because we heard it gets quite busy. We sat outside at a picnic table with an umbrella on a sunny Saturday evening, overlooking the Anna Maria Sound. If there's a type of seafood you're looking for, I'm sure they have it - We had fish tacos and fried grouper, but they also have peel & eat shrimp, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. Service is super-casual, but efficient. We were just drinking iced tea (they offer beer & wine too) and our drinks were refilled. Pricing is reasonable at about $25 per person, which was well worth the experience. If you're staying in Anna Maria Island / Bradenton / Cortez area, this is a terrific option. read more

Wow seafood done right! I am not a big fan of stopping into a place I don't know, but was glad I did. I had the Grouper bites and my wife had a grouper sandwich both were excellent. We were told if you wanted FRESH local seafood to come here by the folks at H20 Watersports & man were they right. The BEST fried shrimp I've ever had IN my life. Flavorful, massive, butterflied and lightly breaded. Tasty seasoned fries. The Mahi tacos and shrimp po sandwich boy were also great. I had a fried sampler platter and their tartar sauce is SO good. Both the service and the food can be a bit spotty they can both also be spectacular. The shrimp po'boy is a thing of absolute beauty and they have homemade hot sauces to put on everything. If you're going to sit with a drink in hand and watch the sunset it's a gorgeous view out over the ICW and, if you're one of the select few, you can even sit in the air conditioning at the inside bar. THE best fish I have ever had. It's 100% fresh and they don't serve you anything that wasn't caught that day. The fried grouper bites are delicious as well as the Fried Grouper Basket. The breading they fry the fish in is very flavorful and light and isn't oily like many other fry batters can be. The Fish Tacos are good as well and have a nice Asian flavored sauce which is different than most fish tacos I have tried around here. The fish is just amazing, you must come try! Me and two of my girlfriends stopped in on a Sunday evening around 6pm and the place was packed. We could only get a seat at the bar. The server was friendly and attentive. The food.. was.. AMAZING. This is probably the best grouper I've ever had. One of my girlfriends had their fish tacos which were also really good. I was a little skeptical as we arrived. I wasn't imagining a Marina restaurant. The woman running the parking lot was so efficient and helpful. We were able to be seated right away, but inside at the bar. So again I was skeptical. But then the food started rolling out. And now I know why people love this restaurant. The conch fritters were amazing. My husband and I both had fisherman's platters with grouper and polished off every bite. The service was great and the owner checked in, which I appreciate. My only criticism is the use of plastic and disposable goods. Especially where ones livelihood is so tied to the environment around them. Tide Tables was recommended to me from my brother who really enjoyed the food. Love the location right along the water you can easily walk to from AMI, park if you drive or other patrons parked their boat on the slip and came that way. They have options to eat inside or out, we choose outside. The weather was lovely with the sun and light breeze. For the food we had driven all night from MD so we each had a cup of the Chicken Andouille soup, split the conch fritters and fish tacos. The soup came out hot and had great flavor and spices. The conch fritters were disappointing- they were friend and soft in the middle with not much flavor. They served cocktail sauce with the fritters, maybe a marmalade would be better. Fish tacos on the other hand are not your average tacos with sesame ginger sauce and blackened instead of fried with chipotle mayo sauce...anyways great flavor and cole slaw helped to tone down spice. To finish the meal we had the special Peach pie for dessert. Yum! Outside of the food we had the Raspberry Wit beer which was a special and delicious. Friendly enough staff and reasonably priced.
