Much to my surprise when the bill was over $46. I tried to email them, no response, I called them and hung up after seven minutes on hold with a chat bot, I physically went to the cleaners and once I talked to a human who said the manager would call me back and he/she did not call me back and went back another time only to be told no one was available. It should not be this hard to get a price adjustment. It is exhausting to fruitless to get any kind of customer service with Rite Dry Cleaners. So...buyer beware if you have a problem with them. The guy working there talked me into getting it washed, too, at no extra charge to me. I accepted, paid for, and dropped it off. When I came back to pick it up, the guy took my claim ticket along with my receipt and threw them both away in the trash, pulled my jacket out of a laundry bin, and gave it to me. When I got home, I noticed that my black coat was now gray with a red tinge to it. I realize now that the coat was pre-treated with a red chemical and never washed. The chemical had a strong smell to it and made the material feel flimsy. The inside of my coat smelled like it wasn't washed yet. The zipper they used looked rusted and wasn't sewn on properly to keep out rain like the previous zipper was. I returned to the store to complain about all of this, but the small Asian lady working there wouldn't let me finish a sentence. I opted to speak to the Asian guy that took my payment for the services but the lady made a chopping motion between us, grabbed my arm, and shoved me toward the door, telling me to get out. I left and warned the customers that witnessed this that if they had any issues with their clothes being serviced, they would likely be treated just as I was, and I left. As the man got it and looked at a couple of things, he then brought it forward and placed on the stand with a hook at the side of the counter. It's final resting place before I got to take it myself. He begins looking around for I don't know what reason as the only thing left that has to be done is payment. He finds what it is he wants and it's another receipt. He proceeds to show it to me and it's clearly marked as far as an amount is concerned 60.0 (I figure that the second 0 after the decimal point just didn't print). Naturally he tells me that 'they charged me $60 for dry cleaning it', and that he had quoted me $48 plus the amount of tax. ($3.84) He adds that he was losing money because of this. I say nothing to him about it. But had $55 ready in my pocket and set it on the counter in front of him. Now I had a thought that he might possibly give me some kind of break on the final amount because of having to make 3 trips there to get this finished, or because of the length of time that repeatedly exceeded what he had been telling me. So now it was on him. He pushed a 5 back to me. It's hard for me to decide calling this either a compromise or a discount. Still, I don't figure on being a return customer.

I told the young man behind the counter that I wanted the zipper replaced, showed him where that damage was done, and told him that I'd like it back by the end of the week. He then asked me if I wanted it cleaned as well, and I said that I would. He asked for my last name, and the name of my street, but not my phone number. The coat was promised for today by 5PM. So, I arrived today exactly at 5, gave my ticket to the lady who was there, and she came back out with the coat, which had a note on it, saying that the coat needed the zipper replaced, and to get an OK from the customer to have it repaired and a phone number! I told the lady that this was exactly the reason I had brought it in in the first place, and that there was no way I could leave it there to have the repair done on it that I had asked for in the first place, as it was going to be extremely cold this week and that my husband couldn't be without his heavy coat for another week. They did clean it, however. The lady did apologize, but blamed the teenager who took my order. Yes, he screwed up, but he shouldn't be working the front counter if he doesn't know how to process orders. I hate leaving bad reviews, and I have used this company for cleaning in the past and have been satisfied, but considering the circumstances, I will not be bring the coat back to them to be repaired. I will still use the company for ordinary clothes cleaning, but I don't think they can be trusted to handle anything beyond that.
