During my interview (at the Cleveland campus location) I shared with the admissions director (Damon…read moreHarris) that I'd most likely need to look at different financing options. The admissions director invited his colleague and the bursar (James Malley) into the admissions office to discuss finance options. As I was signing my paperwork, Mr. Malley proceeded to make inappropriate hand gestures (such as thumbs up towards the admissions director once I had started signing my paperwork) underneath the small round table we were all seated at (and as if I didn't have eyes and couldn't see his hands) I tried to shrug off his behavior as just incredibly awkward, cringey, and uncomfortable but a few weeks after class started Mr. Malley entered a shared classroom (while class was in session) and made additional inappropriate gestures towards me (he winked at me and grinned) and in doing so made me want to vomit. So after he turned his back I simply just gave him a thumbs up right back. It's ironic because career services briefly spoke to the students about "what it means to be professional" perhaps career services should start by educating their own staff members on professional conduct, because last time I checked making a prospective student feel uncomfortable on campus (and this goes back to the interview) isn't very professional!!! Best of luck in getting accredited with staff who behave like that!
