Third time is not a charm. Ive come to this business because it's close to home and her prices are very reasonable. However, every-time I went to pick up my items on the date she recommended they were not ready or even started. One time I went to pick up my things at 10 am and the store wasn't even open as her sign said she is. I called with no answer. I sat and waited for her to arrive which is wasting my time. (mind you this is the day she told me to come back since she hadn't started the repair from the original pick up). Needless to say, Im looking for a new tailor. read more

alterations were not completed when originally promised. Not even started on next promised date, then received call asking what kind of alteration was needed as she did not make note o. invoice. Then on third attempt finally done and picked up. The seamstress made no apologies for repeated delays and no offer of reducing cost. I took a long formal dress to this place over a year ago to be cut for my birthday party. I was so impress wih her squeezing me in at a Critical last minute. She did such an awesome job with my dress. I wanted it to be short ab the knee I was so impressed, I was so pleased. This is a cute alteration place on ridge road very close to st-charles church. The woman running it was very conscientious. I had a uniform altered and she did an excellent job. The prices were very reasonable and I would highly recommend taking any type of clothes that need alterations to this individual. read more

Dorina is AMAZING! She saved the day with my cousins wedding dress and my bridesmaid dress! My cousin took her wedding dress to Dorina at 10 PM Thursday night (her wedding was Saturday) for an emergency alteration. The wedding dress was butchered from another seamstress but Dorina was able to make it absolutely perfect and ready to pick up Friday evening. She was so reassuring and did such an incredible job! I had went to pick up pants that I needed to get tailored and they were not ready. I had to wait till she tailored them with took 20mins. Mind you she had a week to tailor them and they still weren't finished. She is extremely rude! Also when I went to pay she didn't even tell me that I needed to pay with check or cash ! So I had to go to an ATM . Right from the beginning it was a terrible experience because she had commented on a girls weight which made everyone feel very uncomfortable. We have used this Tailor 2 years in a row for prom dress alterations. She is fabulous! My daughter is extremely picky and she loved the results both times. First year it was a length alteration. Poor service - Dropped off a pair of slacks (unlined) on May 1 - pickup date was supposed to be May 10. Long time to hem some slacks! However, when I got there today (May 10) at 4:00 pm, she told me she hadn't even gotten to them yet! I took a very valuable vintage dress in to be altered, went back twice for adjustments, and then never heard from the woman, Dorina Fodor, again. The phone rings and rings, the store is now closed, and the florist nearby said the tailor had a fire, but no information was left on the door or an answering machine. I have no idea whether or not my dress was ruined and if the owner plans to reimburse her customers. I am astonished at the lack of communication and disregard for the customers. A fire is very unfortunate, but it is simply unacceptable to leave no information for people when you have their items in your possession! read more

Dorina is amazing!! She has done every dress I have ever needed altered including my own wedding gown. I have never met someone who was more passionate about her work. I've shared the same experience as the other reviewers. I dropped off 5 shirts and a peacoat, all for either alterations or repairs. That same day, I read that there was a fire at Parma Theater and it had spread to her store. I've called and sent e-mails and have yet to get in contact with the owner. I have no idea if my clothes were ruined in the fire or if I'll ever get them back. When I drove up there, there was just a sign on the door that said that they were temporarily closed; no avenue for customers to find out what's going on with their clothes. read more
