After discussing the possibilities and my options, I chose to take a toothbrush and Oxi Clean to the 3 areas and scrub the crap out of it. A lot did come out, but still obviously there. Went in today to drop them off as Matt and I discussed and the gentleman there who schooled me in dry cleaning (at my request :-)) said they'd be ready by next Friday. I told him that I'd have to ask a friend to deal with it bec I live in Cali now and just here to prep my condo for the next tenant so he told me to come back Saturday. That's service! The water even beads on the blanket and it leaves a oily feeling. Not soft and fluffy like when it went in. Basically left with option to wash 10 x to remove the film or toss blanket out. Seeing as I have a coin operated laundry in my building I now just have to put the blanket away till I have expendable time to fix this. Useless -- they can't even read the tag and wash a washable item because they would rather fill the world with chemicals and charge a dry cleaning charge. He agreed it could be ready by 11:30 Friday, which was later than I preferred but I understood it was short notice so I accepted that. I came to pick it up at 11:15 and he had not started it. He originally said it wouldn't be ready until 2 and I told him that was not acceptable. He rushed to get it ready by 12:15- I had to go home and come back. Then whe I get there he tells me he only takes cash so I have to leave to go to the atm and come back once more. He claims he told me it was cash only but he did not. Then after all is said and done (no discount offered for the trouble) there is a big stain on my dress and when I bring it up to him he does not take responsibility for it!
