This is my friend's favorite boba shop in Berkeley. Came here around 1:00 PM on a Thursday and there was no line. There's no seating here, so it seems less of a social place and more grab-and-go. An interesting thing that happened was that my friend ordered Mochi Milk in her drink and the employee said that she should get something else because that topping wouldn't taste good with that tea. She ended up getting the Dirty Fresh Milk with Boba and Mochi Milk, which I also tried. I personally was not a huge fan of the Mochi Milk texture, but my friend said that because the employee shook it up before, it was more broken up than usual. I thought the drink itself was a bit watered down and the boba was too soft for my liking. Not sure I would go out of my way to stop by here, but open to trying one of their more popular drinks next time.
I ordered a grapefruit mango pomelo sago. Yes there was grapefruit, but the amount was so small I couldn't even really taste the flavor or the grapefruit bits. My order took 12 minutes on a Sunday late afternoon. There was at least 12 orders or more before me and there was only one staff working. Flavor tasted fine aside from a lack of grapefruit flavor. I would say it's pretty standard. There are some seats in the shop, but not many.

Parking is street parking and depending on time of day you can find parking easily! I walked in and used the machine to order and one of them didn't work so I used the other one. The drink took about 5-8 minutes since there was only one staff. I got the rose black tea with cheese top. Since there's cheese on top, I wish they had the lids where you can sip the cheese with the drink. I got 0% sugar and less ice. It was not sweet which was good and I can taste a bit of the rose. However, I wish the tea taste was stronger. The boba quality was good and I liked the texture. It is a small space and no bathroom in case you are wondering.
My boyfriend and I found this place on Yelp since we were in the mood for some boba before we embarked on a hike at Wildcat Peak on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Ti Bear had a BOGO special going on so we ended up just doing that. The BOGO deal had to be the 24 oz drinks for some reason and the free drink was from a limited drink menu. I liked that you have the option to adjust ice and sweetness level and they also have a wide range of non-dairy milk options. Their drink topping options are also pretty solid. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha Latte with oat milk with aloe and less ice and my boyfriend ordered the Lavender Brown Sugar with black sugar boba. I actually really enjoyed my drink - there was an even ratio of strawberry puree and matcha to taste so I had a bit of strawberry and matcha taste with every sip. Unfortunately, the Lavender Brown Sugar drink was not very good.. It was very watered down and you can barely taste the lavender or the brown sugar :( Overall, there were two Self Checkout kiosks and ordering was very user friendly. The place was clean and had very cute decor. The wait time wasn't too long but I would probably order ahead next time since there were a few people coming in to pick up drinks after we ordered.
I was driving by the Berkeley area and wanted some boba. I usually have my go to boba spots around here but wanted to try something new. This place popped up on my radar and it was their three year anniversary! They just opened when I parked and there are two kiosks to order. They have lots of apps that bc an be downloaded such as snack pass and hungry panda. The pictures have a discount code for a free drink. I got lucky because from 8/27-9/7, they are offering buy one get one free jumbo drinks and buy three get two free drinks with the options on the kiosk. I got to try the Thai green tea tornado and the dirty lavender. The cups were huge and it ended up costing ~$11 with tip for two drinks. I think the jumbo size is 1.5x a normal drink. The dirty lavender was my favorite and was very sugary at a normal sweetness. I enjoyed it as is because I have a sweet tooth. But might be "too sweet" for most. The Thai green tea tornado had too many things happening at once and it was good for looks. Not the worse but not the best. The cups and designs are cute. This place is more of a to go boba spot and not a cafe to sit down and hang out. They did have a claw machine if you are waiting but not much of a waiting area or chairs. Location is near the campus and around other boba spots and food. They're catering to the students which is why it makes sense to use two different apps for delivery and convenience. Would come back again and happy third anni!
Thai green tea with Thai tea ice cream! I love how tibear includes Thai tea ice cream with their Thai tea drinks. So good- both the green and the regular. I've ordered online on multiple occasions and pick up has been mostly easy. Sometimes it can take a while cause they're busy. I've also tried their drinkable Mochi topping. Pretty interesting, more so for textural purposes. Our frequent drinks here are their Thai tea drinks since they're amazing, esp with the ice cream. Their ice cream is from Mitchell's and they have a few flavors here. This boba place is small on the inside, but really cute.
It was a hot day, so we decided to get boba at Tibear in attempt to cool off. We ordered our drinks on Doordash and showed up 5 minutes before the estimated pick up time. The store was tiny and had a claw machine along with some cute bear decorations. But after 15-20 minutes of waiting at the store, our drinks were not ready, yet people who ordered after us received their orders. In the end, I had to ask the shop worker about our drinks for her to finally make them. Our drinks unfortunately did not hit the spot. I got the taro mochi milk tea with salted cheese foam, while my sister got the mochi qq milk tea. My drink was not sealed fully and barely any cheese foam at the top even though the topping costed $1.5 extra. The taro milk tea base of the drink was made with fake taro powder, but there were some small chunks of overly sweet blobs of real taro at the bottom. There were some blobs of mochi as well, but the texture was more like a pudding than drinkable mochi. Meanwhile, my sister's mochi qq milk tea barely had any mochi, and the tea's flavor wasn't super special for the price. I was hoping that I'd like this place since its reviews looked promising and its decorations were cute, but I feel like Berkeley has better boba elsewhere than here.
As an update to my previous review, one of my more recent visits at Tibear was not great. I ordered a hot milk tea with Boba and the Boba was sour. I winded up, having to throw the whole cup away to avoid an inevitably painful experience. Check your food quality Tibear. Not worth losing longtime customers by being cheap.
Was visiting the nearby Sweetgreens when I found Tibear on Yelp just a block away. We walked over, and while there were a few groups waiting when we arrived at 6pm on a weekend, the two self-service kiosks were completely free without any queues. The shop itself is pretty small with 4 stools (6 if you consider the additional two stools for photo ops near the plushies) for waiting, but no real options to dine-in. There is a cute display of Rilakkuma plushies on one corner for photo ops, as well as a cute bear-themed claw machine to play from ($1/play). We opted for a Mango Genmaicha Latte w/ boba on our first visit, and the drink came out after about 10mins. Overall was not too impressed with the flavor profile, and the drinks here are pretty pricey. Most of the specialty drinks run $7.75 for a medium (which is almost a small at most other places), and additional boba topping costs $1.00 more. This place is supposedly known for their mochi milk, which we honestly barely tasted in our drink.
TLDR pricey and limited menu offerings I hope fellow boba fans will understand when I say this: there is your afternoon pick-me-up boba and then there is your dessert treat yourself boba, and this is definitely the latter. (I know all boba is technically always a dessert and a treat but hear me out...) I wanted a plain Thai green tea or matcha latte, but didn't see this option on their menu? There's a mango matcha... strawberry matcha... and Thai green tea float which I ended up getting. I say this isn't a daily boba stop for me because their menu is lacking the basics. Since they don't have more simple drinks, their everything on their menu is well over $6 (I think I paid $8 after tax and tip). The service was good and fast. The drink itself was sweet and rich with the green tea flavor. Their boba was nice and sweet. The ice cream scoop was really tiny (maybe I'm just bitter because I didn't want it in the first place but couldn't order without), but the flavor was good. The interior was cute and well decorated with limited seating. Not really doing anything wrong, but Berkeley has so many boba shops that I don't see myself being a regular here.
I've come here multiple times and have ordered the same thing a couple times. I'm never met with consistency. I've been getting the oolong milk tea with boba. The first time, I got 50% sugar with boba and it was SO absurdly sweet that I could barely drink half. I got the same thing today with 0% sugar and it just tasted like milk. Usually getting less sugar means you can taste the tea better, but it literally just tastes like milk + mediocre boba. My friend got the QQ Mochi milk tea and that it also just tasted like straight up milk. Batch to batch consistency needs to be improved. Today's drinks were a complete disappointment. It's almost like they forgot to put tea leaves when brewing. Keeping at 3 stars because the fruit tea drinks are slightly better. The passion fruit green tea isn't bad. But for now, I'm over giving TiBear another try.

Menu is very diverse with many options - ranging from milk teas to fruity drinks. Although the flavors sound delicious, the flavors are indistinguishable (all watered down). Drinks were prepared relatively quickly with little to no wait. read more

Despite how small this shop is, it's so cutely decorated that I want to stay inside forever. And I know I'm not alone because half of the time I'm there, the store is full of people waiting for their order. Tibear manages to offer some unique drinks to spice up the very hot boba competition in Berkeley and one of my favorites is the Lychee Cheese, a lychee-based slushy with a cheesy foam on top. I'm also a vocal proponent of the classic black tea boba. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This is a classic for good reason! The people who work here are always so sweet even though they're working hard at making drinks 100% of the time I've seen them. A lot of the time it's just one person and you have to ring the bell on the counter to grab their attention. Fortunately, there's a stand inside to place your order and you can place on order via Snackpass on your phone. I highly recommend everyone in the Berkeley area try this place out in lieu of the dozens of other boba shops because Tibear is earning their worth! read more
I ordered strawberry cheese milk tea and my friend got the hot pink peach refresher. The boba was really good but the drinks are a bit on the sweeter side. I got 50% sweet for the strawberry milk tea and it was still really sweet. My friend enjoyed her full sugar fruit drink though so up to preferences. Cute drinks. Really sweet even when we picked less sweet option but I think that's due to the drink recipe/flavor. We got the thai green float latte and lychee cheese. Boba is ok and does harden up over time. The yogurt cheese was something new I haven't tried before but the yogurt and cheese pair well. Mix your drink well! I would come back if I were the area because they had so many other drinks that I wanted to try like the green tea refresher. The inside is pretty small but there's room to sit. There's a claw machine and you can order with the cashier, at a kiosk, or online. We used the snackpass app for a discount. read more
Another boba spot in Berkeley! But are we complaining? Heck no! The more the merrier! This cute boba shop is a rilakkuma lovers dream!!! Why? You'll see it when you walk in. Trust me. First, let's talk about the menu. They offer drinks made with MOCHI MILK. Tbh, first time hearing about that and also trying a drink made with mochi milk! I can't really tell the difference? But the idea is pretty cool. They have a nice menu to fit what you are currently craving that day or just to try something new. I ordered the C5. Taro Purple Rice Latte which is made with taro chunks and purple sticky rice! I didn't get boba because I felt the taro chunks and sticky rice was enough for me, and I was right! The taro chunks were amazing! Sweet and so easy to eat. The sticky rice was a good surprise and def added more texture to the drink. My boyf ordered the C2. Strawberry Genmaicha Latte and I really liked his drink! It was sweet and had that nice toasty tea taste that I enjoy. With your drinks, you can adjust your sweetness, ice and change your milk. Their spot is fairly small. They have some seating, and it looks like they might be offering more menu items since I saw a front fridge/ freezer thing. Price? Pretty pricey, but the quality of their drinks make it worth it. Let's see if this is something I agree with when I order other drinks. This boba shop is located on Shattuck and has very little seating in the boba shop. They have a small claw machine for customers to use while they wait which is nice. Along with the claw machine, they have a kiosk for if you wanted to order instead of waiting to order with a cashier. I highly recommend ordering with the kiosk or ordering ahead of time instead of with someone. I ordered the lychee sparkling drink and even though the cup/logo is cute and the drink was tasty, the service was horrible. It took us 30-35 minutes to get our drink that I could have honestly gone somewhere else and by the time I got back with a drink from another shop, my order wouldn't have been ready. read more
I love tapioca boba milk teas. We stopped by here and it was clean, quick service with plenty of choices for your drink. I had black sugar boba and chose the Taro milk tea. I preferred my sons choice which was the most popular milk tea. I think it was like a Thai ice tea type drink. There was some kind of pudding like thing in my drink which I've never tasted before and didn't care for it. Their taro mochi drink was off the hook! Their taros are fresh but what stood out the most was definitely their mochi in their drank. I've never had mochi in a drank before so it kind of blew my mind. It was so silky and it gave the drink a unique texture that definitely made me 'Wow'. You gotta try this new boba shop out. It really is up there. Y'all know how much I love my taro dranks so if I'm raving about another place about their taro, you bet it's . The plushies are to die for! Look how cute they are! Boba and Kuma plushies . Definitely a cute place to get some pics in too. This place is Instagrammable and they have yummy drinks, you know I had to cross that bridge to see what's up, and for sure I wasn't disappointed! I'm always BEARY excited to try a new boba place, and Tibear definitely does not disappoint with the quality of their drinks + super cute interior! Lychee Sparking ($7.25): Sparking water with fresh strawberry, lychee and lychee jelly. Personally, I loved how the sparkling water wasn't overpoweringly sweet, and how the natural flavors and sweetness of the strawberry and lychee were emphasized. Mango Genmaicha ($6.25): Mango puree infused with milk & Genmaicha (Japanese brown rice green tea) /Matcha power. My friend really liked the mango flavor of this drink! QQ Mochi Milk Tea ($5.95): a classic milk tea + Black Sugar Boba and Drinkable Mochi Milk. My other friend also liked this and pointed out the really unique, liquid-like consistency of the mochi! You can definitely tell that they put so much love into crafting such unique and beautiful drinks with only the highest quality, organic ingredients. Tibear has won my heart for favorite boba place. I've been here at least 3-4 times and love all their drinks! I always want to try something different because I know it'll be good. This time I had the strawberry genmaicha with mochi milk with 50% sugar, since last time I had the mango genmaicha. It was so good! Usual boba places still make their drinks super sweet when you ask for 30/50%, but Tibear really gets it right. I'm tempted to even get a higher sweetness level next time! The shop itself is super cute and aesthetic. It's tiny, but there are always a few people standing around or sitting on the counter stools. Their bear mascot makes my day! read more
I got the mango genmaicha latte and my bf got the strawberry matcha latte. You can actly choose between genmaicha or matcha which I was surprised about and rly appreciate. The genmaicha was good tho after you sip the sweetness of the mango, you can't rly taste the genmaicha anymore. For the fruit they use puree instead of syrup which is always better. I tried the mochi topping and it was ok. Personally I think I'll skip on it next time. It makes the drink rly heavy for me lol. They also have a self ordering kiosk which is nice because I can imagine this place getting popular. But you'll get a text about ETA and when it's ready for pick up. read more

Really wanted to support this place but I found crazy amounts of plastic in my drink. On Oct 15 I ordered the QQ mochi milk tea and Oreo tornado via door dash and it was full of shredded up plastic. Probably from the Oreo wrapper. That is negligent and I will no longer be buying from here. Please check your drinks before you consume ! read more

Service was good, quick, and it was nice that they provide an estimated time that the order would be ready. I also like that this business is on Snackpass! Although I could not get pictures inside this time, the atmosphere of the restaurant is very photo-worthy with lots of cute bears! Normally the jumbo drinks are $8.75, however, with Snackpass, I got it for $7.40! I would say especially for the drink's size, this is a great deal. With the ice dissolved, the drink also does not loose much flavor or creaminess. The boba softness and firmness was also perfect! Highly recommend if you plan to stop by Berkeley! read more

**3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars** I love how Berkeley has so many boba places -- just means there is always one nearby whenever you have a craving. Tibear just opened and was offering a soft opening promo for the month of August. The service was a bit slow as they're still working out the kinks of handling larger crowds. Mochi Milk Tea w/ QQ Boba: The tea flavor was really good and you would enjoy this drink if you like mochi or varying textures. This was my first time having mochi in my milk tea and I'm honestly still conflicted if I enjoy it haha. I would recommend trying it at least once since it's a unique topping. The boba was a bit too soft for me, but a good level of sweetness. Thai Green Float Latte: This is topped with Thai iced cream, but is only a minor portion of the flavor. The green tea has a more floral taste and it was was really different from anything else I've had, but it was still refreshing. I asked for less ice on this drink (same with the other), but the amount of ice was very different. This place definitely has a super cute aesthetic and I would be interested in trying more drinks. It seems like they're offering some unique drinks worth checking out! read more

I stumbled across this place while having lunch at marugame udon and thought I would give this a try seeing that it has good reviews. This place specialized in their drinkable mochi milk and has a lot of interesting drinks. Surprisingly, they don't have the typical standard milk tea like oolong, rose, etc. and their menu doesn't have a lot of selections. But nonetheless, they nailed the drinks and the flavors are all very unique. I've never had mochi in my boba drinks before and the drinks didn't disappoint! I got the QQ mochi mochi milk tea and mango genmaicha latte. Boba texture is on point; it's not too soft nor hard and has the perfect chewy consistency. The drinkable mochi has a hint of sweetness and dissolves in your month. The drink flavor is perfect and not too overly sweet. You can order through Snackpass or with the touchscreen in the store. It's very straight forward and easy to use. You can get 5% off when you show that you followed their IG account. I will definitely want to come back and try their other drinks! read more

I have milk teas with mochi before and I absolutely hated it! BUTTT I decided to give this type of drink a try again and I love it! Honestly, I'd say this is the East Bay location of Sunright Tea Studio. It's a very small shop across from Marugame Udon, and I decided to get the taro mochi milk tea. I was able to adjust the sweetness so I was relieved (got it in 50% sweet and it was perfectly sweet!) In the drink itself, there were taro bits and the mochi. The price of this drink is pretty standard for those with mochi so I don't have any complaints there. I think my only complaint is parking around the area since it's on the busier area of Berk. Otherwise. I'd come back there again! read more

Such a cute spot! Many students come in the afternoon, so beware of wait and crowded corners. Never been here before but will definitely come back, the drinks are well made and delicious! Matcha tornado has thick egg-like cream pudding in between layers of matcha, mango sago light and sago cooked just right, and the Thai green tea float also was impressive for its Thai tea ice cream and combined Thai/green tea too! ATTENTION! New boba spot alertttMy friend told me to check this place out for some quality boba and I couldn't be more impressed! The drinks were super delicious and unique compared to the other boba spots in Berkeley. Although a bit pricier, I think the drinks are perfect if you want to treat yourself to a nice treat. My friend also loves the owner and said she was so nice, so I'm excited to see how this place goes! (Note: their grand opening is coming up this weekend followed by a discount week so I highly recommend checking out their ig page for more info!) - A2 Thai Green Float Latte with boba ($5.75+$0.75) // Delicious and rich in flavor. I've been seeing this place all over Instagram! What caught my eye was how cute the bear lids were. Glad I got to check it out last weekend! I tried their new drink "Beary Fruity." Woahh first sip and I was thoroughly impressed!! Bits of aloe jelly, lychee, and strawberry blended so well! Super refreshing. Lychee chzzsz -- an interesting looking drink. Never would have imagined a lychee flavored tea w/ cheese foam. Kinda resembles Happy Lemon a bit. Although it's not my favorite, it's very unique. Parking is kinda difficult because it's downtown Berkeley area. Luckily I found parking closer to the neighborhoods. Super small boba spot. Self ordering system. Nice staff & very well made drinks. Stopped by TiBear during their soft opening and decided to give them a try. There were already a lot of people waiting so that was a good sign! One of there mor popular drinks was the Milk Tea with Boba and Drinkable Mochi. I ordered it with half sweetness and it was the perfect amount of sweet and flavor. The boba itself was soft and chewy, and the mochi was a good texture of softness as well. My only issue was that I wish the cup sizes were bigger for the price since they are like a half size compared to taller cups. Since they are pretty new, the service is pretty slow so it may take a while to get your drinks. Other than that the service is nice. I'd say this is a good place to try if you're looking to satisfy your boba fix or sweet tooth! read more
I was intrigued about the "drinkable mochi" so I had to try it out! There is a section on the menu with drinks with mochi, so I ordered the QQ mochi milk tea ($5.95). I ordered online and was surprised that the lowest sweetness level was 50% and you can't change the ice level, so I just chose 50% sweetness and 100% ice. The mochi is not as thick as typical mochi and was soft, stretchy, and sticky. It was an interesting addition to the drink, which I really enjoyed! There was also black sugar boba that came with the drink. Tbh, the drink was a bit too sweet for my liking; I would've chosen 25% sweetness if I could. Tibear is located on Shattuck across from Marugame and Berkeley Way West. If you are coming from a different area, it's only a few blocks down from the BART station and a bus stop. If you are driving, you might find street parking in the neighborhoods around. The shop is pretty small. There are a few seats, but not many. Near the counter, there is a Snackpass kiosk for you to order without talking to a person. I ordered the lemon refresher. Personal preference, I'm not a huge fan of real fruit pieces in drinks. Slurping up a huge clump of lemon pulp can be an unwanted surprise. Besides that, I enjoyed my drink! The Tibear Signature Milky drink was surprisingly really good! It tasted like a fruity milkshake. The cheese popping boba was a little bit like cheesecake. The drink was shorter than the other drinks, but the packaging was really cute. This place is very cute with it's bear decor and cup designs. It's pricey, but I think the unique drinks are worth trying at least once. read more
A really decent choice for milk tea in the area, I've pretty much enjoyed whatever I've ordered here so far. My fav when I'm in the mood to indulge is the QQ Mochi Milk Tea -- think mochi but melty! You may not enjoy the texture much if you're not into the whole 'gooey' vibe but I actually love it from time to time. Sometimes I just gotta mix it up from the usual! It also pairs well with milky tea flavors, fulfilling all my dessert drink cravings. If you've never been yet and are in the area, I'd say it wouldn't hurt to try them out. read more

So great to catch the soft opening of the newest boba shop in town!! Ti-Bear took the old lot that housed Bubble Tea Share Time, which I think locals will probably be pleased to hear. The new shop is cuter, better, and definitely bringing fresh liveliness to this little quiet corner of Shattuck. Through their first month open, they're having a buy-one-get-one-half-off OR buy-two-get-one-free deal. I'm honestly surprised that they don't have a website or any sort of social media presence-- it's probably why Elites weren't swarming to get the first review here LOL. They didn't even know it existed For COVID safety purposes, masks and social distancing are enforced. QQ MOCHI MILK TEA (light ice, 50% sweet): Super classic QQ milk tea! They didn't have alternate milks just yet, but the manager mentioned that they'll be stocking them in the menu soon. Boba was cooked well + tea was sweetened perfectly. I love the addition of tofu pudding! Definitely recommend lowering the sweetness since the toppings add a loooot of sugar PASSION FRUIT REFRESHER: UHHHH they use FRESH passion fruit here??? Wild. This is comparable to the fresh fruit tea drinks I used to get in Taiwan. Any place that uses fresh fruit (esp tropical fruits!!) gets points in my book. Granted, they forgot my bf's lychee jelly, but I'm sure they're still ironing out the kinks as they continue opening. SO glad this opened up within walking distance of me. I liked this place a lot more than I expected! I had heard many things and saw the super cute aesthetic, and knew I had to check it out. I got a mango genmaicha latte which was super good. I don't think I've ever had genmaicha, but it was such a nice distinction from what I'm used to. The mango flavor and tea flavor were both nicely present, and I also added the mochi milk. It was really good though the texture was a little surprising to me. Overall, quite good and I'd come back more often if it wasn't so pricey! read more
One word to describe this place: ADORABLE!! The store is furnished with rilakkuma plushies everywhere and being a rilakkuma fan I was so excited to try this place. All of the drinks I tried were very refreshing and had a good tea flavor. The prices here are pretty high though I paid about 8.75 including tax for a fruit tea with the cute bear cap. I don't think it's worth the hefty price to order again for me but it was good to try just once. read more

Just ordered 2 Avocado Mango Sago from here. First the good. There isn't any. Bad 1- No one was at the counter to great any customer. Another customer had to let me know you have to order through the kiosk. Bad 2 - After order was submitted, received a text message that order will take "Your order #135 from Ti-Bear will be ready in 15 to 20 min". NOT... took over 40 minutes. The female that was there said she was the only worker (that was a lie, there was her and a make working and there was another female that just started her shift. So there was a total of 3 employees). Bad 3 - The 2 Avocado Mango drinks were both spoiled. Taste was very bitter/sour. Thats an indication the ingredients they used has gone bad (spoiled). Bad 4 - I called and spoke with a female and told her the 2 Avocado Mango Sago drinks were spoiled. No form of being apologetic or sincerely sorry. This store can get people sick or give them food poisoning. Dont you read the expiration date (WTF). No compensation or try and offer me a refund. wasted $13 for these 2 spoiled drinks. WTF! This place may be good for some. However, my experience is garbage. Go somewhere else. read more
Honestly one of my favorite bubble teas I've ever had! I tried the Taro Mochi Milk and omg this thing is delicious!! With so many great boba spots in the area, you have to offer something different to stand out - that's mochi milk at Tibear! Mochi milk is exactly what it sounds like..a tapioca based milk. I tried a passion fruit ade in Korea a couple summers ago and was like, passion fruit seeds - where have you been all my life?! Ever since then I've been on a quest to find a place that serves passion fruit seeds in their drinks. I've found a few since, but this place by far included the most. Also, I ordered less sweet and it was perfectly tart with a little bit of sweetness! read more

I'm such a sucker for cute things and the tall bear cup lids at Tibear make for the cutest boba packaging I've ever seen. Move over light bulbs and heart jars. I stopped by here and got the Beary Q drink which is their phoenix dancong oolong latte with black sugar boba, crystal boba and drinkable mochi. After years of drinking boba I was very familiar with everything except for the drinkable mochi. It took a bit of getting used to, but the slightly condensed milk taste of the mochi, and the slurpable-ness of it all ended up growing on me. I really enjoyed my first stop at Tibear and look forward to future visits whenever I'm in/around Berkeley. read more
