They offer a variety of unique cookie flavors along with granola. You really can't go wrong with any of the options (pretty much had them all), but our favorites are the salted brown butter chocolate chip, espresso toffee chocolate & sea salt, peanut butter brown butter butterfinger, and the s'mores. They can package up your cookies in a nice box as well or they are wrapped individually. It's hard not to eat all of the cookies in one sitting, but they do last throughout the week if you have some self control! They do offer samples and even have a frequent buyer card. Buy 12 and get one free! I've gone through probably more cards than I should, but these cookies are just that amazing! Pricing is reasonable for the quality of cookie you get. The owner, Max, and the rest of the folks that work there are super friendly and you can tell that they have a passion for baking these delicious goods. I definitely recommend checking out Magnolia!

Before, it was located at UCSD's Town Square, which I thought was pretty inaccessible for non-students. Now, it's located at the Epstein Family Amphitheatre, which is conveniently located next to the UCSD Central Campus Trolley Station and the Gilman Parking Structure. It's a really beautiful setup, with plenty of outdoor seating, whether you want to sit at the lawn, the various tables and chairs, or even the amphiteatre seating itself. There were a few vendors that have usually set up at the market, including House of Bao, Bubbas Hawaiian Snack Shack, Belinda's Familia, Seb Panini and a Sambusa place. I think it's a pretty good lineup, but I noticed the items are very expensive. Further, the selection outside of prepared foods was pretty lacking. There was a florist, but I think more fresh fruit and vegetable options (that accept EBT!) would have elevated the experience and helped with the food insecurity issues that plague college campuses. I ended up visiting Belinda's, where I was enticed by some free samples. I had a chorizo egg burrito, which I thought was really good and a deal for $10! Overall, I think the return of the farmer's market is a net positive for the community! I visited on re-opening day, so I think a couple more weeks will help iron out the selection and variety issues!

We waited about 30 minutes (Sunday afternoon rush), but it gave me plenty of time to explore the menu. I usually stick to a simple order, but with so many base options, I decided to "do it all," and I'm so glad I did. My son loved the pitaya and mango bases (and so did I). The blue coconut and classic açaí were excellent, and the blue chia topping was a fun and tasty surprise. All the fruit was extra fresh, and the granola added the perfect crunch. We absolutely loved everything and will definitely be back soon!

I decided to just park along Gilman Drive, which is free, and walked about 20 minutes. Honestly, it wasn't bad at all -- it was a sunny day and there's plenty of street parking if you're willing to walk a bit. I've always loved Blue Bowl Superfoods in Oceanside. It's SO good and easily one of my favorite açaí spots, I could literally eat it every single day. I love all the customizations they offer, the variety of bases, and just how many ingredients they have. This time, I decided to visit their UCSD location, which is right in the middle of University of California San Diego's campus. They open around 10 AM on Saturdays (and typically around 8 AM on weekdays), and even right at opening there were already a lot of people waiting. My friend and I were still able to get in and out pretty quickly around 10. I ended up getting their mango passion base along with açaí. For toppings, I loaded it up strawberries, bananas, apples, blackberries, blueberries they truly have so many options. I also love their variety of nuts, seeds, and different types of nut butters. They really don't skimp on choices. Overall, I would highly recommend stopping by. I was SO full after, and honestly, you could even split a bowl with a friend because they pack it generously. It's about $12 for a normal medium-sized bowl, which I think is worth it for the portion and quality. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The ambiance is nice it's more of a grab-your-bowl and then sit outside type of vibe, but there is indoor seating as well. Definitely one of my favorite açaí spots, and this location did not disappoint.

Overall, a really walkable area! Walking in, it's clear that their sandwiches are a crowd favorite from all the awards on the walls. Since we were parked we decided to check out the cheese shop, the owner kindly came running out to warn us about the strict ticketing for parking in the 15 minute parking spot we were parked in right out front. We've visited this cheese shop several times now and enjoyed the specialty sandwiches they make. Our favorite, the SG Cheese Melt - made with a cheese mix, specially mustard, jam, red onion and thinly sliced apples, this is our favorite sandwich. I love a good ham and cheese, you must order it with the Nugget ham, so don't forget to add the ham! We also tried the California Wagyu bresaola, a cold sandwich, but can be made hot if you like. It was also very good, but we just keep coming back to the SG hot melt! Key things to know! - Limited parking! There is only street parking and a 15 min only spot directly in front of the shop. So it may be difficult to park on the weekends. - They are not open on Sundays or Mondays. - If you're looking for a sandwich their kitchen doesn't make sandwiches until after 11 am, the staff making the sandwiches are not there yet and they may run out of ingredients to make certain sandwiches. So don't expect to try to get one near closing time at 5 pm. A complete bummer since we tried a couple times and failed to pick up a sandwich. I love a good, easy to eat, not overwhelming sandwich, so this place makes my list of fav sandwiches! Owner is super friendly. The sandwiches are specialty and absolute delish! We don't live in the area and it's definitely worth the drive (if you can get a sandwich)! If you're in the area, definitely worth the stop in as they also offer drinks and premade and made to order cheese plates if you're heading to beach! 2026: 36

The sourdough was perfectly baked with a hearty, wheat-like flavor, a wonderful crust, and that fresh artisan quality that's hard to find. I also picked up a croissant, which was buttery, flaky, and pleasantly layered without being overly airy. It was satisfying and filling. One suggestion: I regularly use Kerrygold butter from Ireland with my sourdough at home, and the rich, creamy flavor is incredible. I highly recommend trying it with Lucky Bolt's sourdough--it makes an already excellent loaf taste even more amazing. There were so many other pastries that looked delicious, so I'll definitely be coming back--probably early in the morning--to get the best selection. If the rest of their baked goods are as good as what I tried, this place is going to become a regular stop for me.

This shop on Avenida De La Playa, which is the Main Street closed off from cars, so people can walk freely, but parking is a challenge. The cheese shop can't be missed, with the green ivy covered store front. It's standing round only, no seating inside but limited outside seating. You order from the counter and they bring your order to you if you decide to sit outside. I selected the popular sandwich: Turkey, Jack Cheese and Avocado on sourdough bread with every veggie: lettuce, tomato, red onion was all it had. Just baked from the oven were the famous oatmeal cookies in caramel and chocolate, looked so yummy I didn't order any but the guy behind the counter complementary gifted a pair to me, so nice, friendly and cool!! Inside the shop didn't appear clean, I would describe the ambiance as divey. Sat outside and shortly my order was presented nicely wrapped sandwich and warm cookies. Took pics and took a bite and my consensus is that I was not a fan of this sandwich because I really prefer smoked turkey and not plain turkey. The sandwich looked subpar, the layering of ingredients weren't assembled as aesthetically layered as it can be and tasted just ok. My pup usually doesn't like smoked turkey or unfresh meats but she liked this plain roast turkey, which means it's more likely fresh and pass her approval. She also ate the contents of the sandwich sans the bread and onions of course. The oatmeal cookies were a real treat and lived up to the hype, kind of gooey, yummy and good for you...hence oats is fiber! As a cheese aficionado, this shop is not really a cheese shop with no abundant cheese selections. The shop should just be named sandwich shop, since sandwiches and candies seem to be their cash cows. If you're looking for a cheese shop, this isn't the place, but it might the place for a sandwich. Recommend
