The outdoor space was warm, cozy, and added so much to the overall ambiance. For drinks, we ordered the Blood Orange IPA draft beer, which was absolutely fabulous. We started with the fried blue corn and pecan hushpuppies with caramelized onion dip, and the roasted beets with orange wine vinaigrette, goat cheese, and breadcrumbs. Both appetizers were unique, flavorful, and very well executed. For the main course, we had the roasted half chicken with chili lime butter, gremolata, and greens. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right--tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Every dish we tried felt thoughtfully prepared and distinct. Since our main course took a little longer, the server brought us their house-made Pullman bread with fermented pepper pimento cheese, which is one of their specialties. That was a really nice touch and much appreciated. The service stood out for its attention to detail--each dish was presented with a full explanation of the ingredients, which added to the experience without feeling overwhelming. Portion sizes were just right. My husband and I shared everything and still had some leftovers, though we are light eaters. The appetizers felt like great value for money. The chicken dish was a bit on the pricier side, but the quality and flavors made it worth it. Overall, every single dish was unique and prepared to perfection. Lenoir is definitely a must-try and a great choice for a special occasion.

This time around was much better. We ate the first night of 1/2 off chef's choice and were given additional portions on all courses except the duck since we were 3, not 2. Nothing disappointed me and the vibes were immaculate too. All other diners were respectful and gave Lenoir a neighborhood regular "feel". For my cocktail I got the true romance, a Sangria inspired one. It was stronger than I expected but I knew I still would like it more than the other options (which included ones inspired by an old fashioned -- my mortal enemy). I also got to try a sip of the Tokaji, a popular dessert wine. It was the best thing I've ever had, the price point well worth it. I couldn't even pick a favorite course because that's how good everything was. My mom said the wine pairings were perfect as well. The desserts could use improvement - especially the orange cake. It was a little too citrusy for me, I preferred the banana pudding TLDR: Michelin is sleeping on them and they deserve to knock some of the Bib Gourmands off the list!!!

I enjoyed mostly everything that I ate Corn rib - yum! I loved the extra spice. The corn was easy to eat and full of flavor in every single bite. Space balls- if you like ceviche, you would like this ! It was flavorful and the crunchy layer was perfect. Short rib and vanilla mashed potatoes.- The potatoes shocked me with the hint of vanilla, the balance was perfect. I loved my short ribs! Very juicy and flavoral protein for sure. This is a beautiful dish that's executed well. Alien blood drink - it had A very tropical vibe and wasn't too strong! The cotton candy was complimentary and I loved it. My dessert was a pear tart dessert with vanilla ice cream. It isn't on the menu. I didn't enjoy it. The crust on it was good. But it fell short for some reason. The vanilla ice cream was perfect!

I had heard so many great things about Jeffrey's, including its reputation as an Austin fine-dining staple since 1975. The restaurant strikes that rare balance of feeling cozy and intimate while still maintaining an undeniably upscale atmosphere. Colin was our server and he did an amazing job taking care of us throughout the evening. Shortly after we were seated, we were served complimentary bread with stracciatella cheese, which got me super excited. Stracciatella happens to be one of my favorite cheeses and it's surprisingly hard to find so this was a treat. The bread was warm and perfect for scooping up the creamy, delicate cheese. Extra points to Jeffrey's for offering this as a complimentary starter! After that, we ordered the crispy fried oysters, which were recommended to me by one of the sushi chefs at Sushi by Scratch who mentioned she used to work at Jeffrey's and insisted they were a must-order. They arrived golden and delicate with a light, crisp exterior and that briny, buttery oyster inside. Truly the perfect starter and just the right portion to begin the meal. For our mains, we both opted for the Gulf Red Snapper. The dish arrived beautifully plated with a perfectly seared exterior. The fish was delicate, flaky, and cooked perfectly. On the side we ordered the oak-grilled broccolini, which came out vibrant and slightly charred with a subtle smokiness. It paired well with the snapper and added a nice fresh balance to the meal. They also have an excellent white wine selection, which complemented the seafood perfectly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and the perfect way to end my Austin trip. Jeffrey's will definitely be a staple stop every time I visit Austin from now on.

Overall, I…read morethink Ember Kitchen is certainly worth checking out, but I think I might order a little differently next time. First off - parking is convenient in the Seaholm parking garage. My understanding is that Ember will validate, but it wasn't apparent to me how that works and honestly I walked out forgetting it and having to pay the bill for parking - oh well. I came with a party of six and we were celebrating a birthday. The team at Ember was very accommodating. We were seated downstairs in their "Speakeasy" room. It's a bit dark, but cool atmosphere. There are other dining options if you prefer a bit brighter setting. We were served complimentary birthday shots! These were quite tasty - enough so that I ordered another round of those citrus based shooters. Everyone at the table ordered a cocktail. Nearly all the cocktails on the menu are going to be served in a feminine looking glass and with a flower. The cocktail menu is pretty much for the ladies. On the bright side, they have a good selection of bourbons, tequila, etc available for straight pours at a decent price. Not extensive selection, but I think a good choice - enough that I think you will find something to fit your price point and taste profile. Our waitress was top notch. Very attentive and paid close attention to the orders from our gluten sensitive guest ensuring she ordered safely. We ordered a couple small plates as appetizers for the whole table. Everyone loved the crab cake. I thought it was tasty but wasn't expecting whole kernel corn in a crab cake so that threw me off a little. Market seafood crudo - this is a fish appetizer and as the name implies changes based on availability. The night we ate was a Hamachi or Salmon option. The salmon had a bit more of a spicy sauce so we chose that. It was a hit. We also chose a tuna tartare and it was fresh, good but didn't knock our socks off. When ready for the main course - our waitress had a number of off-menu specials to tell us about and honestly many were very interesting options. In fact, we chose to split a 50oz Tomahawk steak. This was a huge steak plated on a hot platter, already sliced off the bone with some fingerling potatoes. This was honestly the most expensive part of the meal (no surprise), but also the least impressive. Now visually it was a spectacle for sure, but the meat certainly had pieces that were tough with some large pieces of fat. Now I don't mind the fat, but when sliced there were a couple pieces that were nothing but fat, other pieces still that were mostly gristle. We all agreed the seasoning was just missing, it seemed to have no seasoning at all. It was also quite charred. One of the claims to fame here is their Josper oven and clearly it can put a good char on a steak. Some in our party liked it, but I thought it was a bit much. There can be fine line between a good steak crust and a burnt crust. I thought it was a bit much, and maybe why the seasoning seemed missing. On the bright side, it was cooked correctly to order. My only problem was, for the price, this was a complete miss. We also ordered scallops and the morida shrimp. Both were excellent. These were probably worth coming back for. The morida shrimp come served in a bowl with a rich sauce that was enjoyed by the whole party. The scallops come pan seared and were cooked perfectly - which is key to enjoying a good scallop. Be aware that the typical order of scallops though comes with only two scallops - rather light even for a single individual, because these were not on the "small plates" menu, it was supposed to be a full entree. Great experience overall, but we just felt not quite worth what we had to pay for it. Overall, it was just over $150 per person. What could have saved it - for that price, the steak HAS to be on point.
