We needed a new garage door. Got three quotes. (All the prices were very close btw) Vetted all the companies. Went with Thunder. Pandemic hits, everything slowed down, and we didnt want to spend the money till we had a better sense of work etc. They were like, we completely understand. Call us when you want to move forward. These guys do excellent work, AND THEY COME OUT TO YOUR HOUSE ON SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS (No problem for them, due to their religious faith)! Now we don't have to worry about our garage door for the life of our house. Even got additional discounts for military and paying with cash! The only issue I can think of was the initial difficulty of getting a written receipt for the cash I gave the serviceman, at the end of the work. He assured me that I would get a receipt emailed to me in 30 minutes (Which I did), but I don't give anyone cash, then let them leave my house without getting a signed receipt from them. My fiancé was attempting to install an exterior lock on our sliding doors and accidentally dropped the original locking mechanism into the door. We tried everything to get the lock out, but to no avail. After multiple calls to contractors, a visit from one who couldn't fix it and many days of securing our door with a pole, we called Thunder Garage Door Repair. Lucas came and worked on my door for about 2-3 hours, and we came to the realization that the builder used a very specific part that is no longer standard. After trying his best, he recommended I order that part and assured me that he would be the technician who comes back to install it. Sure enough, Lucas came back and installed the original inner locking mechanism, along with the exterior one we were hoping to install in the first place. It took him about 15mins with the proper part and my house is secure again! The thing that really sets this company apart is Lucas' positive attitude, the education he provides and his work ethic! You could tell that he had a really busy schedule that day and he still took the time to help me finish 2 other projects on the way out the door. I had been trying to fix my Genie garage door after it suddenly stopped working. I called Thunder based on review and descriptions of Knowing Genie door systems. Two men showed up and spent maybe 10minutes looking at the actual unit. They were more interested in selling me a new unit. So, basically I paid them $50 to try and sell me a new unit. In the end the Genie customer service Phone number called was far better and more helpful. Thunder tried to sell me a whole new system for twice as much as Amazon. We were looking for estimates to get our garage doors serviced and one side was missing a safety sensor and needed a new Opener. We'd gotten two estimates (the first company showed up an hour late without calling), the second one being from Thunder Garage Door Repair. Adam not only showed up during the time window I was given, but he called when he was on the way. I needed a last-minute appointment on Saturday to change all the locks on my rental property.
