Found David on Yelp after our garage door spring broke, and I'm so glad we went with him! From his very first response, he was completely upfront about the price, what it included, and the warranty. He even offered to rebalance and do maintenance on the door for free. He showed up, got the work done quickly, and didn't try to upsell us on anything. He also gave us some helpful recommendations for what to do if anything breaks again and pointed out a few improvements we could probably handle ourselves with a little YouTube University. We got a few other quotes that were way more expensive and very pushy, so David was such a breath of fresh air. Honest, fair, and just a genuine family guy. Highly recommend! read more

David was quick in reply and with answers I needed to book the job. Among the 5 companies, others were either higher in cost or wanted to come for the quote. David gave me the cost to replace the garage door springs and that's exactly how much I paid. On site, he was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do without any issues. David was very friendly and I would highly recommend for any garage door job. read more

David is great. Responded quickly. Was competitive price wise, and completely competent. And friendly. And on time. What more can you ask for. No handling. No surprises. Great guy, great work. read more

David responded quickly on a Saturday and came out the same day in Vancouver to repair the spring. He was professional, quick and has very competitive pricing. I would recommend his business 100%! read more

Repaired my garage door promptly at a reasonable price. Would definitely do business again.

Our garage broke on Thanksgiving, and David from Custom Home Solutions had it fixed within an hour the very next day. I don't usually write reviews, but this experience set such a high standard that it deserves one. Other companies responded to my inquiry offering inspections and quotes, but David stood out. He gave me a fair upfront price, with parts charged only if needed. After exchanging pictures of the problem, his confident response was, "It's an easy fix." True to his word, he arrived early Friday morning after Thanksgiving and had everything completed in under an hour. The garage door has been working perfectly ever since. I've already decided this is my go-to company for any future issues, and I'll be recommending them to family and friends. On top of that, David provides a warranty on his work, which gives me even more peace of mind. Five stars--only because I can't give him more. read more

Just start here! I got estimates from other contractors... this is the best one, in my opinion. David at CHS Garage Doors is trustworthy, fast, professional and offered the best estimate and price for the replacement of the broken garage door opener springs by far. He went above and beyond... put in a new emergency pull cord, oiled the garage door hinges, and took time to explain the work. Highly recommend. read more

Quick to reply to initial request and schedule the work required, once agreed upon. Honest quote- didn't try to force unnecessary parts or work. Would throughly recommend for garage repair and maintenance. Bonus - David's a friendly guy too! read more

David gave me a no-nonsense, all-in quote answering all my questions (in itself quite a rarity) and was at my door within 24 hours of me making first contact. He called ahead, arrived on time, did a great job for the exact amount quoted and all for less than most other companies were quoting. To top it all off he's a thoroughly nice guy and warranties his work in writing! I can't recommend CHS Garage Doors highly enough. read more

Needed some new springs on my garage. David came THAT day and was in and out very quickly. Great service. Couldn't recommend more.

My rental property's garage door broke so I went on yelp to contact a few businesses. David from Custom Home Solutions responded very quickly with clear upfront pricing and also called me to explain what the issue was. The next morning he came and fixed the broken spring quickly with a very reasonable price. The communication was easy and smooth. I would definitely recommend them for garage door repair. read more

Fantastic! They were quick, friendly, professional, and did an outstanding job. If you need your garage door fixed, I would highly recommend these guys. Did extra little details and gave me helpful information they didn't have to. Go with these guys, you won't be disappointed. read more

I asked yelp to help me find someone to repair my garage door and these guys were the first to contact me. They came out very quickly and the guy who fixed our door was friendly, polite, and efficient. He came out, took a look at it and found the problem right away. He put a "band-aid" on so that they can get the proper parts and gave me a more than reasonable quote for when they return. I don't know pricing compared to other companies, but it seemed more than fair. I've got their number saved in my phone and they will definitely be called if my kids break it again. read more

Our garage door broke last evening, and David was able to get out to us within an hour of our request. He was extremely professional, polite, and efficient. I also appreciate his honest quote and assessment of the work. We've had negative experiences with other garage repair companies trying to upsell us - David was the exact opposite and we will absolutely go back to CHS the next time we need garage repair or maintenance. read more

By replying to my questions David agreed it would be best to replace my vintage 1985 Lift-Master opener with a current model he recommends. He arrived exactly on time, and worked by himself while explaining this new installation as he set up the safety features and remove the old relic. He had all the proper tools and had the new quiet and smooth running opener working, adjusted and working perfectly. His expertise was impressive and price was good I felt. David, in my opinion as an older senior , it was very good to see a young , honest and sincere man who was earnestly growing both his business and his family. It was nice to see a person that has a real work ethic and I enjoyed our conversation and seeing he had it done so well and quickly. I will have him back to add new seals to the garage door before the snow and East wind starts. read more

A diamond in the rough...Dave was honest from the start as to how he quoted me and warned about others doing the bait and switch. He was prompt, and repaired/replaced my garage door springs for exactly the amount that he quoted, no games or upselling. Dave was a pleasure to deal with and I would recommend him over any of the big companies out there overcharging people like they did me on the other garage door that I had repaired. read more

A wonderful company, great value for money, excellent attention to detail, high quality standards, and a pleasure to work with! I strongly recommend this company. A garage door spring broke at 5:30pm on Wednesday. I put a quote request on Yelp and got a call from David within minutes. We agreed on the price (very reasonable), and he arrived in ~1.5hr, installed the new spring, and fixed a couple additional issues that he uncovered. Everything was fixed on the same day! Thank you for the great service!!! (Service requested - garage door spring replacement.) read more

David at CHS was very responsive and could tell from the pics I sent what the issue was and was able to accurately quote it before coming out and then went beyond tuning up the other garage doors. Would definitely recommend Custom Home Solutions for any garage door needs. read more

I called a few companies to replace my old wooden garage door. One never got back to me, another took a week to get a quote back, and another's quote was ridiculous. David from Custom Home Solutions came back with a quote the next day. David was very professional and gave a fair price. It was going to take a few weeks to get a custom size made and David gave me the exact date he would be back to install. David and his crew showed up exactly when he said he would and did a great installation. I will definitely use them again and will recommend to friends. read more

Ok, I don't generally give reviews. But my experience with David from Custom Home Solutions set such a high standard...he gets one. It was a simple broken spring replacement request. Several companies responded to my request offering to inspect and provide a quote. David responded with a fair price to do the work. He was on site within a few hours and all done within an hour. Garage door working perfectly for a few weeks now. My new go to company for any future issues. Did I mention David provides a warranty on his work as well....5 stars...only because I can't give him more. read more

He not only provided the best price, beating the other guys by over 20%, he also did great work. I helped my parents get their old wooden garage door replaced. I called 3 outfits to get estimates. One never emailed me their quote after we'd met and another was too expensive and "salesly". When I met with David I was impressed by his professional and friendly attitude. He provided me with a reasonable quote and I liked his responsiveness to my questions via text and email. He is very reliable, he followed up with me on a couple of general questions I had unrelated to this project. It's rare to find businesses who do that nowadays. When David and his crew came to install the door, they were thorough and tidy. We are very happy with the result and glad to support this small business. I would use them again. read more
