Now the company name is "Garage Harmony" but it's the same great level of expertise and responsiveness. Thirteen years ago we experienced excellent service from Patrick when our old garage door stopped working. An adjustment to spring tensioning (as I recall it) restored operation, but then we decided to replace our battered old door. Patrick handled our order like we were royalty, waiving the original repair cost and making at least two trips back while we decided on color and style. After a smooth, expert installation job, Patrick returned once more to bring us some touch up paint for the woodgrain finish. This is the sort of service that customers simply do not forget. So when that door spring broke thirteen years later, on a Sunday afternoon, no less, there was never a doubt which company we would call. The best we could do right then was leave a distress message, but that was enough. At about 8:00 am Monday morning, we got a call to inform us that there was an opening in their Monday schedule and would 9:00 am be OK? Absolutely OK! At 8:58, we got a heads up call to let us know the technician would be arriving in a few minutes. Less than an hour later, the spring replacement was completed and we could not be happier with that, and with Garage Harmony. read more

If there were no stars I would give them that. We have called this business 5 days in a row with assurances we would get a call back. Apparently too busy working for Lowe's and Home Depot. Very disappointing. read more

Timothy & Nathan arrived promptly, assessed reason for service call. They explained their findings. They were professional and did not try to up-sell. Their price for spring replacement was very reasonable compared to what neighbors paid to other companies. I highly recommend Patrick's Garage Door. read more

I've been having Patrick's-Garage Harmony for many years now. Same consistent friendly and prompt service the whole time. I recently needed a modification to my 4 year old garage door system that they put in. They quickly came out and worked their expertise to make it right. I highly recommend them. read more

Very accommodating company, I was hanging a sensor issue with my door that I couldn't figure out. The technician was at my house right on time and had it fixed before I knew it. Very knowledgeable, and very polite. I would recommend Patrick's to anyone. I have used them several times over the years. Thank you! Cheers! read more

This review is long overdue. Our garage door completely stopped working one Saturday evening and our landlord called Patrick's Garage Door since they are local & had great reviews. Since it was the weekend, they said they'd give us a call back on Monday morning. They called mid morning on Monday and scheduled an appt for a technician to come later in the week. The day of my appt they called and said the tech had a cancellation and asked if he could come earlier. Perfect! He was there within 30 mins. He listened to me explain in not so technical terms what was going on and he thoroughly examined the entire system to try to figure out what was wrong. He found that our motor was defective and was installed incorrectly (too close to the door itself causing the door to not open all the way) and recommended that when we replace the motor that we install a longer rod so that the door can open to its full capacity. He gave me a quote & after my landlord approved, I made an appt for the install. The same tech along with one other came out that day, on time and got everything installed in about an hour. So fast and the new motor with the longer rod works amazing. Highly recommend this company! read more

After spending the winter in Arizona, I got home to a garage door that would only open about 3 inches. After messing with it for a while, I found the card of Patrick's Garage Door stapled to the wall near the controller in the garage. They had installed the opener 15 years ago and I remembered what a great job they did at the time, so I called them. Happy to find out they are still in business...now I know why. They scheduled a visit in two days. The repair technician (Sam) was on time and very polite and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem immediately (broken spring) and had the parts to fix it on the spot. The price was reasonable, he got the work done quickly and professionally, and he patiently answered all of my questions. Very happy that I can finally open my garage door! The door now works better and quieter than when it was new. I would not hesitate to recommend this company. read more

My garage door spring broke and since I've been considering replacing it anyway I called Patrick's (now called Garage Harmony). They got my doors quickly and installed them today. They did an excellent job. I would highly recommend this company for garage door repairs or replacements. read more

I contacted the business through yelp and never got a response back. After all the stellar reviews, I was disappointed not to hear back. Oh well. read more

Have to take the time to write an additional review for Patrick. Mom accidentally ran into the garage door the other day, buckling the bottom panel. Called Patrick to come out and take a look. He warned me this garage door was discontinued but he thought he might have some extra panels in stock. When Patrick came over, he measured the garage door panel and, of course, it was the size he didn't have in stock. I immediately started sweating, thinking the only option was to replace the whole thing. BUT, being the creative guy that he is, Patrick came up with the idea to "bolt" the panel back together so the garage door would work and I wouldn't have to put out $1,100 for a brand new door. He even figured out how he could attach a handle to disguise the big bolt he put through the door. Genius! The garage door is now working perfectly and looks great! Thanks, again, Patrick! read more

Patrick's was spot on perfect. They did what they promised on time in a very professional manner. We were delighted with their service and will use them exclusively in the future. Our experience appears to be typical based on their other reviews. We will recommend them whenever we have the opportunity! read more

Patrick was great. When I called him about my inoperative door, his immediate response was "I'll make time." And he was good as his word. Fast, informative, and his price was very reasonable considering the emergency nature of the work. Call him - he's professional, knows his business and is priced very well. read more

After pulling into my garage after work, I clicked my garage door remote to close the door and heard an exceptionally loud sound. The garage door closed on its own the remainder of the way down but when I clicked the remote again, nothing happened. Without an emergency release option, my car was officially a prisoner of my garage. With it being after 6 pm, I knew I'd be hard pressed to find someone who could come out that same night but I began to make calls in the hopes that I could find someone to help me with my garage door. I found Patrick's through yelp and after reading the reviews, I gave him a call. Not only did Patrick answer, but he was kind and even walked me through my issue to triage the situation. After the triage, Patrick gave me a VERY reasonable estimate and he was able to send his team out the next morning to help me. The two individuals who came out were on time, exceptionally nice, knowledgeable, quick and even walked me through general maintenance when they were finished with their work. When it came time to pay the bill, it was the very same price Patrick quoted the night before. And... after calling several other companies, I know without a doubt that Patrick's price was a third of what others wanted to charge. I couldn't believe we'd discovered such an amazing resource. Seriously, finding Patrick's was a blessing. When we need help in the future, we'll be calling this team again. I don't know what's going on with the others who say they can't get an answer; I called twice after hours when my garage door broke and Patrick answered my call both times. Support local business and choose Patrick's. You'd be foolish to do otherwise. read more

I had an old broken torsion spring... and after watching diy videos on how to repair.. many videos noted serious injury or even death may occur when working with these springs if repaired wrong. With my luck I didn't attempt it and called Patrick's garage door company. He was here within the hour.. and finished the job in just over an hour. They even provide a warranty on their work. read more

Patrick's Garage Door - Garage Door Services Near Me

We called yesterday at 8:30 pm and Patrick's was here at 9 am the next day...Saturday. Extremely professional and very good! Quick and efficient-they diagnosed the problem a broken main spring right over the phone, had the replacement parts and a new beefer spring bar installed within a 1/2 hour of their arrival. I would not hesitate to call Patrick's again for any service to my garage door. They are local, very reasonable on cost, if I could I would give them 10 stars. read more

We broke a garage door spring and lost use of our door on a Monday night. We called Patrick's on Tuesday morning after seeing two favorable reviews here on Yelp. Patrick's said they could send someone here "between 2 and 4" Tuesday afternoon, which was fine by us. The gentleman arrived at 2:15 and had the spring replaced, and the door working, by 2:45. Awesome service and responsiveness. Price was quite reasonable and worth every penny. read more

My car was trapped in my garage. Patrick's was able to come exactly when I needed them to, to fix it. My tech, whose name is Justin, gave me options for repair or replacement, and gave me transparent pricing for whatever services he was suggesting. He worked hard to fix my door in exactly the way I wanted it fixed. My door works like it's new! I recommend this company for repair anywhere in the metro area. read more

I had a bit of an emergency and this is the one company I called that took the time to help me and quickly schedule a home visit. Jason was awesome. Made sure I knew my options to repair broken coil and made sure I didn't pay too much or for things I didn't need. They were fast, polite and thorough. And much less expensive than the competition. And most importantly they are high integrity. After the visit the office called me and said that they were able to get my home insurance to cover a portion of the fees so they wanted to refund me that amount. I was already happy with the amount I paid so this was a double bonus and proved to me they have high ethics / good business values. Highly recommended! read more

I can't speak to the repair services, because I just fixed my own problem. However, I fixed that problem scarcely two hours before the tech arrived and I appreciate the fact that I was able to call it off at such late notice on a Saturday. A+ for flexibility and for ease of contacting. read more

Deric with Patrick's garage door company did an outstanding job today. He problem solved an issue another company was unable to do. He went above and beyond to get it functioning again. He even helped me set things up with electronics. I am so very grateful! Thanks again, Deric! read more

Arrived on time to repair a broken torsion spring. He worked quickly, and I paid exactly what he quoted over the phone. In addition, he did a full maintainence on the garage door opener, which I didn't even ask for, and I swear it is quieter than the day I bought it. Friendly and Professional. read more

Saw the great reviews on Yelp and Google and thought I'd give them a try for a spring replacement. Simple appointment setup and estimate (based on my assumption of the need). Arrived in the time window (with a heads-up call) and replaced spring and tightened up and lubed the door. Even re-mounted our door sensors since they were coming loose. Very happy with the service, outcome, and price. Their sticker is now in my garage, and they'll be the first call next time I'm in need of garage door repairs. read more

After years of being frustrated and disappointed by the shoddy work and attitude of Brown's Overhead Door (hey, they used to be good!), I decided it was time to find a new garage door repairman. (the spring on our door suddenly broke, and our car was trapped inside). I called Patrick's and left a message. He called back within 10 minutes, and was able to come out the very next day. He set up a two-hour window, then called again within that time frame to narrow down when he'd be here. He was professional, friendly, and personable. Oh yeah, and more importantly, he fixed the door, He also advised me of some weatherstripping repairs that will be needed before next fall, and told me I could do it myself or call him, and wrote down exactly which parts I'd need. And if that wasn't enough, he lubricated everything and lined up the door with the track, as well as did some maintenance on the other door. Above and beyond the call of duty! He put a handy little sticker with business name and phone number next to the door opener buttons (smart move, guys!) so you'll remember who to call next time. His price seemed reasonable to me. Looks like I've found my new garage repair guy! read more

We are renters and had no clue what to do or who to contact for our garage door problem. The guy who came out to fix our garage door did an amazing job and I never felt that I was getting ripped off either. Definitely would call them back! read more

I cannot speak highly of the quality of this company - from the product to the install to the personnel (which starts at the top). We have had work done on our home before and ALWAYS have had to have someone come back out to fix something that was left as complete but was highly unsatisfactory (fighting every step of the way). Kyle was an exceptional install tech - very knowledgeable and VERY professional and polite. We could not be more pleased with our garage door - it is beautiful. Patrick's Garage is top quality (the BEST) and if you get Kyle - well, you have hit the install tech jackpot. to Patrick's - Kyle is a homerun hire in our books. Thank you for sending him our way. Our garage door belt broke unexpectedly in the evening. We called Patrick's Garage Door company at 8:30pm intending to leave a message for service. Instead, Skye spoke to us directly. She listened to our issue and scheduled a service for the next morning. She was kind, professional and patient. The next morning Jess came out to inspect our repair and we ordered the part through our Genie warranty - and Jess alerted to request a 8ft belt to be sure they sent the correct item. He made sure I could use my door while awaiting the part to arrive. Summary: Best Customer Service I have a experienced in my 56 years - listened to issue, rapid response, professional and highly experienced. I'm so certain that our repair will be perfect that I'm posting my review now, prior to the actual fix because I'm so impressed with this company and the quality of service! read more

Michael was very friendly, fast and efficient. He figured out what the problem was pretty quick and got it taken care of. Forgot the guy's name who came out. Kyler maybe. Semi tall slim guy with a beard. Very courteous, showed up right on time. Made the repairs very quickly, but not with rushed poor quality. I'm sad to have to amend my review. Before our one year warranty was up, the door began to make loud noises. We called them out, and they said it just needed to be lubricated. They sprayed it with a lubricant. We continued to treat the door with lubricant. This week at 2am when trying to go to the Emergency Room for my mother-in-law we couldn't open the door. It appeared the left spring had broken. We called Patrick's and they said they no longer did work in Portland. We have now had another company out and were SHOCKED to discover Patrick had installed two DIFFERENT sized door springs on the door (a definite NO NO), also had installed cheap plastic rollers instead of ball bearing rollers. This was a $2500 garage door, not a cheapo door. The repair guy said it looked like the original installer just cleaned out the warehouse and used whatever leftover parts they had to piece together our install. He noted a number of errors in the door. We are now having to invest another $500+ to correct these issues. I like to support small business people, but something went horribly wrong here and we're paying the price. read more

I wouldn't hire anyone else to work on my garage door system. Patrick is responsive and responsible, and carries through with the work he says he'll do. He has come a couple of times to my place to work on the springs and to install a garage door opener. He gets here on time, does the work and most importantly, does it well! He and Aaron are professional and pleasant. And his fees are reasonable! You can't go wrong with this company. read more

A spring broke in our very heavy custom wood garage door. Patrick's was very responsive. However, the technician was very pushy regarding how difficult the job was. Also, when the spring was installed it appears the setting on the garage door lifter was not adjusted properly. The lifter then shorted out causing a lot of electrical problems in the garage. I hired another company to install a new lifter and the other company said the spring that was installed was not the right one for my very heavy garage door. Patrick's did come back to investigate the situation and said the spring was OK and didn't need to be replaced. So was the lifter burning out a coincidence - possibly. My main issue was the technician going on and on about how tough the job was. I will be using another company for future calls. read more

We had to replace a broken spring. After talking with the technician, we decided to replace the door, at the same time. The cost of the spring replacement was applied to the cost of the new door, which made it an even better deal. The door arrived the next day and installation was stress-free. Excellent customer service by Skye. Excellent technicians, who replaced the spring and installed the door. We are extremely happy with the work Patrick's Garage Door did for us! read more
