I called Thrive last week kind of at the last minute before a trip to see if they could fit me in for an oil change. They were full but the person who responded looked further and said we could squeeze you in at 4pm. We were so relieved as we just wanted to make sure the car was ready to go for the long trip ahead. And they were true to their word. Our car was taken in very quickly and besides doing the oil change, they did the usual thorough check. Fortunately, all was good as we do have our car inspected regularly. And they had a great discount going for the serve at that time so the price was very reasonable. Thank you Thrive folks! On the surface this place looks great. Clean, comfortable waiting area, free snacks, slick marketing mailers, friendly staff. Unfortunately the service I received was far from great. Had to bring the car back twice to get an accurate diagnosis on the problem with my car. Although I had an appointment when I brought it in to have it repaired, I was told there's a chance they might not get to it that day. (It wasn't an urgent issue...why make an appointment if your schedule is full??) When I picked up my car after hours, the lockbox where my key was stored was left unlocked, and my car was also unlocked. And finally, after having my bakes serviced, the lug nut key was missing...requiring another trip back to the shop to pick it up. Overall, a frustrating experience. read more

I pulled in yesterday without an appointment. They were able to squeeze me in as I was traveling from out of town. Very friendly and knowledgeable guys! Their waiting room was very comfortable and they had all kinds of free snacks and drinks. Well Let me start out by saying this is a clean, friendly, and expertly run shop. I had received a coupon with a great discount for a full synthetic oil change which had a price that was hard to beat. I was greeted by Robert who was very knowledgeable about my vehicle. Service was superb with a couple of items fixed at no charge. The waiting area was great and well stocked with accommodating beverages. Went in for my scheduled oil change at 10am. Got there 10 minutes early. Was attended to quickly and they let me know it would be an hour wait time which I expected. I waited in their cozy well stocked waiting area which has cold drinks, coffee and snacks, complementary while you wait. About and hour and half later a gentleman came to get me and let me know my vehicle was finished and they give you a preview of your vehicle which I took. I paid. I walked out to my car and to my surprise I see a giant oil stained foot print on my driver floor mat. Something I definitely wasn't expecting Since they're always so cautious with my vehicle. I walked in to let the service advisor know what I noticed, and he apologized tremendously and let me know that they would do their best to clean it up, and if they couldn't get the stain out that they would replace the mat. They took my vehicle back in and about 7 minutes later they came in to get me in the waiting area. Let me know that they were able to get stain out and that they would fully refund my oil change for the inconvenience. WOW!! Talk about great customer service. And this folks is what a WOW customer service is supposed to look like! I've been coming to Thrive for a couple years now and definitely will continue to for many years to come. read more

I called and set up an appointment. But I had a dental emergency and had to see my dentist. So I called again to see how long my smog check would take. I was told 30 minutes. I was out in 25 min and made my dentist appointment. Courteous and friendly atmostphere. I even inquired about service for my plug-in hybrids since I own 2, and hate taking a trip to the dealer. read more

By the end of the day, they had completed both front and back brakes and rotors--fast, efficient, and high-quality work. It's best to be honest. oil levels were not low as I got my oil changed back in October Of 2022. my oil was actually due for a oil change this month (January 2023). yes, you guys did look for "issues". As you called me twice finding more "issues". If I said yes fix all "issues". It would have berm a total of 1000 dollars + more you would have gotten out of me. I never been to a mechanic that was focused on finding "issues". past mechanics I brought my vehIcles to fixed the current issue tgat I brought it in for and they were done. These people are great! I came in after running over some debris while on the freeway, which ultimately tore the plastic right off my undercarriage engine protector. I began to realize that I was scraping a huge piece of plastic while driving and then quickly brought my car in to have them inspect it. They were very busy and yet still had my car on the lift within 15 minutes. I was out of there within 30 minutes with a vehicle safe enough to drive back down to Los Angeles. They weren't trying to sell me anything that I didn't need, and gave me a very reasonable service charge. Lucky to have found my service center once we move up to Redding in 2017. I brought my Honda Odyssey in for a smog check today. The lady at the front desk was courteous and efficient in getting me scheduled and checked in for my appointment. So I went to Keith's today for a smog, on my new-to-me Chrysler. The car had previously been smogged, however I was informed, by Ken, the owner, that even tho the paper copy of my test said that my car passed it actually had failed due to the visual inspection element of the test. That they would be happy to order the part from the Chrysler dealership and fix the car for me which would run me about $300. Because this was a hard pill for me to swallow I called another place for a second opinion . The new place treated me with kindness and respect and said that the repair had been professionally done and saw no reason to fail it. It did however cost me another $50 but it was well worth it not to spend the $300! read more

This is a clean, well-run, efficient and most importantly: honest, auto repair shop. I always take our cars in for everything from smog to oil change - not because my wife can't, but because so many shops try to take advantage of women. (I'm not dissing you ladies, it's an unfortunate fact that a lot of shops do this). In our case my wife needed her car and took it in to kieth's herself and had great service. No one tried to sell her their super deluxe totally unnecessary upgrade for an extra fifty bucks, just good, honest what you see is what you get. What you see is an immaculate shop, happy employees and people who go out of their way to accommodate your needs AND do an outstanding job as well. I went in on the recommendation of an employee. Ken, the owner and person who greeted me, acted put off that I was there. He then acted inconvenienced that I hadn't been there before and he had to input my info into his computer system. Lastly, he was upset that I didn't have my smog paper for the state. I let him know I thought that could be submitted digitally and that I could get it if needed. The rep on the phone hadn't said anything about it. He was unpleasant and ornery through the whole the experience. To their credit, I was in and out pretty quickly. Also, the lady who cashed me out was nice. If it was on him alone, I'd have given 1 Star. It was just an unpleasant experience dealing with him. read more

They got me in and out in less than 30 minutes! They were professional, woman-friendly, and very reasonable. My family has used Keith's Automotive to maintain our cars for several years now, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I trust the owner and his office, period. If the car does not need something the owner lets me know. The office is very nice and responsive in a down-to-earth way; no pretense. Everything they have done has been top notch and appropriately priced. I make a point of having my oil changed here because they let me know if there is anything that needs addressing. There is that sweet spot for value where you get good quality for reasonable money (i.e. not cut-rate on one end with poor quality, and overpriced for top quality), and this business gets it just right. I stopped by to get an estimate for my car to fix my brake lights which wouldn't shut off after a car accident. The thing was the insurance company was going to pay them instead of me paying them. When I told the man at the counter he said he wouldn't help me and wouldn't work with my insurance and said he knew it wasn't from the accident but was my fault. I said you don't know me and have never met me or seen my vehicle and were not at the accident, how do you "know" I'm wrong? Before the accident my brake lights worked just fine. Immediately after the accident they wouldn't shut off. He did not make me feel like a respected customer and I walked out right after he started accusing me of lying about when the lights became faulty. I went straight to Bryant's up the street and they were more than happy to help me. read more

Took a trip to the Redding area over the last weekend and my jeep began to make a strange whining sound.
