And they were true to their word. Our car was taken in very quickly and besides doing the oil change, they did the usual thorough check. Fortunately, all was good as we do have our car inspected regularly. And they had a great discount going for the serve at that time so the price was very reasonable. Thank you Thrive folks! Had to bring the car back twice to get an accurate diagnosis on the problem with my car. Although I had an appointment when I brought it in to have it repaired, I was told there's a chance they might not get to it that day. (It wasn't an urgent issue...why make an appointment if your schedule is full??) When I picked up my car after hours, the lockbox where my key was stored was left unlocked, and my car was also unlocked. And finally, after having my bakes serviced, the lug nut key was missing...requiring another trip back to the shop to pick it up. Overall, a frustrating experience.

They smogged my car in just 25 minutes and I was hesitant that they would try to fail me, because I hard that's a common theme with all smog shops but they totally didn't, cheap, quick, honest service, I'll be recommending everyone to go here :)

I was on a…read morecross-country drive from California to Canada after 4 months of living in my van when my radiator broke at 9:00 pm--well after hours. We had to be in Spokane Washington by 2pm the next day when the radiator broke so my friend driving me to Canada could catch his flight back to LA. Just when I thought I was going to be stranded, Richards Automotive came to my rescue. Even though it was late, they responded immediately and had us back on the road in no time. Alone, James found a perfectly matching radiator at a near by shop (an actual miracle) installed it and we made it back on the road that night. He also explained everything he was doing the whole time, eased my anxiety and was VERY reasonably priced. He even (very non judgementally) taught me where coolant goes haha. He even gave us ice cream sandwiches because it was late and we hadn't eaten. His willingness to help out at such a late hour and the quality of his work truly exceeded my expectations. He says it's a huge hassle because all his monthly paperwork goes to h8s accountant. He then says "it's only $55, so not a big deal." I respond that "it being ONLY $5, is relative to who your talking about about. $55 can be a lot to some people." Now im not asking him to do anything. Not search the recipt, nothing. They are conscientious (oil caps). I swear my first trip I was asked, Is Castrol OK with you sir? I hugged the guy, teared up a bit. Then, moved to Red Bluff. Where I pined away for Cassidy's again.
