They only had one model and it had a super stubby tip. No thank you. So this place can be disappointing. But at least its local. The real problem is that some of the men here are openly nasty to women - while NOT being nasty to the male customers. Is every one in the store like that? No. Not at all. But if you're a woman, and you visit this Ace Hardware Crossbay Harware, be prepared. The old timey, bullying, chauvinistic, women-are-stupid attitude is alive and well in some of the men here. Yeah. In 2025.

But lately, its kind of turned into a junk shop. The store was very well curated when they first opened, very high-end, practical, and hard to find products. They had some really cool stuff there. Stuff that you wouldn't normally see in a local store. Now, it's just a bit of everything and nothing. Mostly junk. Kind of like Dollar-Store stuff. The staff that used to work there are gone, and now it seems to just be one person. When I walked in last week, there was no one there, and after a minute or so, someone came out from the back and sat behind the counter. I asked him about a knife they had in the display, but he had no idea what he was talking about and just kind of gave up and drifted away after a minute. Also, their hours are all over the place. Often when I walk by their gate is down, or the door is locked. Such a shame, I really liked going in there before. There was nothing else like it in the area. My guess is that it's now just a front for whatever goes on in the back of the store...
