Yet another unpleasant experience at this store. I placed an online pickup order and one item was out of stock. On the receipt they wrote I was refunded for the out of stock item and still after a week no refund has been issued on my credit card. And they're still short staffed. I absolutely love Michael's and love how close this location is. I like the fact that you're looking for a picture frame that there are a variety of them for you to choose from. One of the most extensive Michael's I've been to. The organization of the store is usually easy to shop and peruse. Since it's a large store, so many items that I can't find in the smaller locations I can pick up here. Online pick-up orders have been filled quickly as well. While it's a little further than some other locations by me, it's always worth the couple extra minutes of travel. read more

This review is for my experience with the framing department. I wish I thought to take pictures, but you'll have to do with my description. I had an extremely pleasant experience with the young lady when I brought my print for framing. She took her time with me in helping me choose colors for mattes, frames, etc, giving me her expert opinions. I had an idea of what I wanted, and together we honed in on the perfect arrangement. It came in sooner than the two week estimate. However, not only was there a thread under the glass, but the frame was scratched in two spots. The young man working said that he wasn't sure if that was part of the design of the frame (as in a distressed look), which I knew it wasn't because that wasn't part of the sample, and that the manager would need to see it to address what to do. So he told me she would call the next day. Sure enough, she called me promptly and was very upset that this happened. They ordered me a new frame and put a rush on it. It was ready two days later and in perfect condition, scratch and thread free. Annoying that this happened and that it wasn't noticed at first before being presented to me. BUT the customer service that I received upon this issue was top-notch. For that, I will try framing here again in the future. read more

I just bought a package of five tubes of paint and took it home to see that two of them had been used. Be careful what you buy here since they just let people return used product and throw it right back on the shelf. read more

Can't vouch for everyone else. Cashier was very nice BUT the store manager was VERY RUDE. Clearly gave an attitude when I was already rung up and realized I didn't use a voucher. I will NEVER step foot in that Michael's. Thank you but who has time to deal with rudeness, especially coming from a manager. read more

Very nice store, never fails in providing me with the supplies I need to be a starving artist. Always smells like Christmas even when it is 90 degrees and sunny on a summer day. Speaking of Christmas, they have joined the many other stores in playing Christmas music weeks before thanksgiving has even occurred. Does anyone appreciate the bird anymore? Or the pie? Once it's December I will Mariah Carey'd out if this continues. Also, I am a broke college student and Michaels needs to give more discounts because 40% off of one regular priced item is not enough but thank you for saving me a dollar. I will take my business elsewhere to BLICK Arts where I won't spend $40 on 5 colored pencils. read more

Justin in the framing department went above and beyond to get an item framed for me ahead of the normal (and very reasonable) two week time frame. He moved heaven and earth to get the frame in as quickly as possible and then framed my piece immediately when it came in. I cannot say enough good about how helpful and dedicated he was on this project. I've been going to the Bayshore Michael's for years, and I've never had a bad experience (and I always end up buying more than I intended!). read more

Great prices on art supplies, but sometimes can be difficult to find things, which the staff isn't too helpful with.

I'm making a birthday cake for my son's 5th birthday party and needed to buy fondant, dye, chocolate melts and a few other items. I had one 40% off coupon and asked how many times I could use it and if it would be ok if I kept getting on line to that I could buy most of the expensive items. The manager simply "ok'd" the cashier to use the coupon multiple times in one transaction! read more

Bought 6 bags of chocolate for favors for my daughters Communion, three light and three dark, decided to use all light chocolate instead, so I tried to exchange the three dark bags for light chocolate bags. Yes, I had receipts and still they wanted five dollars more from me, because I bought the bags with their 40 percent coupons. I said I'm only exchanging them not returning them and I was told we don't do exchanges! Really, I was not going to give them another penny so I left, with my chocolate and I will go to AC Moore and buy new bags at that store. This was totally ridiculous and I will not shop in that Michaels again! read more

I am rating this store because the past couple of times I have been here the customer service has been terrible! I was just in the store at around 8pm tonight, All of the employees were busy refacing the shelves and putting the throw back items back, I get it and I know it is part of the job....but it doesn't EXEMPT you from helping customers. I was also ran into TWICE by employees tonight! Once with a shopping cart to my rear (I'm not a big person, only 125lbs) and then another employee came out of an isle and whacked me in the arm with a hand basket! At least she apologized, the other one just kept on going! The store is also very unorganized, all of the ribbon and bridal items are NOT where the above signs are hanging at all, among other things misplaced. At the counter upon checking out I always make it a point to say "Thank you" and " Have a good night/day" (I have been behind a register before and know how it is), the staff does not even acknowledge that I've said anything (different employees on several occasions). I used to drive to this Michael's when I lived in Lindenhurst because It was great....but it has gone down hill. Too bad I live right down the street from here now and will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more
