In the winter, my husband was driving his BMW SUV when a rock flew off the road, hit his windshield, and caused cracks. He called our auto-insurance agent, and our agent recommended Three Rivers Auto Glass for a replacement. The employees at Three Rivers Auto Glass kindly gave us an accurate estimate for replacing the windshield, and we were able to get an appointment soon. We appreciated that an employee mentioned a coupon, so our total out-of-pocket cost was only $100 after insurance and the coupon. My husband mentioned that our camera calibration took a longer-than-expected time because of the cold, snowy weather, but the new windshield looked good. Unfortunately, for months this new windshield was causing a warning light in our vehicle. I was told that the installation of the new windshield had cracked the camera bracket. My husband took the SUV to a BMW dealership, and BMW quoted us up to several thousand dollars to fix the windshield and camera, and we did not want to pay that. Our insurance agent contacted Three Rivers Auto Glass, and employees came to our house to replace the windshield again and to fix the cracked camera bracket. This second service was free. We were visiting the area and someone smashed our rear window on a Saturday morning. No one could replace on a Saturday (needed to order the rear window) but the guys at Three Rivers were the only ones that said they could clean up the car and wrap the window so that we could get home. They cleaned out all the glass. Took the wiper off so it didn't break and put plastic on the car so that we could get home. Nicest guys! Highly recommend them. read more

I'm ok with the fact there was a miscommunication last week. I called to make an appointment for a tinting. They only had a week a way for 11am, so I was under the impression I had that slot. I did tell them that I would call and cancel if I found something sooner, but I guess I was meant to call and confirm. Not a big deal, I'm not mad and see how this misunderstanding could have happen. What I am mad about is the response I was given when I called this morning to see what time I was , because I couldn't recall if was 11 or 1130. He said while laughing "I know what I heard last you were supposed to call back and let us know " Ok mistakes happen I want not arguing with you. I could have misunderstand so why be rude and lack sympathy. Some advise next time make a customer and say we are so sorry this happened. Perhaps suggest your next availability . I guess you don't need the business, and that gives you the right to be condescending. So I can't rate these guys on there work but it if it as compares to there bedside manners DONT BOTHER. I called to verify that I was indeed on the schedule and spoke with Daniel who also confirmed my appointment. Wade arrived within the 10 minute scheduled time. It took less than an hour to complete the windshield replacement and Wade was also able to re-affix my inspection stickers. The end result was a beautiful new windshield. I needed my windshield replaced to pass inspection on my car after moving into the state. I spoke with Dennis. I commute an hour away on weekdays, and he was accommodating to the urgent nature of my request, and was able to have his crew repair my windshield while I was not home. The replacement, after 24 hours and a torrential rain storm, seems to be an A+ job. I love going local when I can, and Three Rivers did not disappoint. They replaced my windshield and scratched the paint all around the windshield surround while doing so. When I told them this the tech admitted to wiping the car down with a paper towel. If you know anything about cars you know a dirty car and a paper towel do not mix. When I called and complained the guy who answered accused me of trying to just get a free windshield and hung up the phone. They said they were sending the owner out, but never asked if my time allowed for that to take place. When I called back I told them the tech could wait here, but I am not paying for anything until a conclusion is agreed upon. Again I was accused of trying to get a free windshield and hung up on. The glass is fine, but my car is scratched all over by the tech, and the customer service was absolutely terrible. Now off to a body shop to repair the damage done to the paint. read more

Three Rivers came through for me with a quote that was 50% of their major, also well-regarded, competitor and 30% cheaper than some of the others. They came out to where I live when they said they would, did the work cheerfully, and handed me a bill for the exact amount quoted over the phone. They initiated a conference call with my insurance company to get it taken care of and told me to expect the technician around 1:00 PM. Jimmy showed up at 12:20 and completed the job at 1:15. While I can't evaluate their product, I can evaluate the service provided by the presumed owner. Kudos to him for answering the phone in the evening and early morning, and I received a quotation for glass replacement promptly and for quite a bit less than Safelite. However, I subsequently received quotations for the exact same glass (and new moldings) from three other reputable (and NGA-certified) shops, which were significantly less than the quotation from Three Rivers Auto Glass. When I informed the owner and mentioned that I was unsure about why his competitors were so much less expensive, his response was that he would "take me off the schedule," and he then thanked me for "wasting his time." Perhaps Three Rivers Auto Glass offers something superior that is worth the extra cost, but given the presumed owner's response, I am skeptical. They also do not appear to hold any industry certifications (such as NGA or IGA), as the company appears to advertise heavily, yet no specific certifications are mentioned in their advertising or on their web site. They may do a good job with glass repair or replacement, but their professionalism leaves something to be desired. If you shop around, you can probably get a better price, including mobile service to your home or business. read more
