Three Q in Graystone, Ireland
Benita H.

Arrived at 13:30 for lunch on a Friday, totally packed. Ordered the BLT and my husband ordered the steak. He said the steak was great. The BLT had plenty of bacon but was super tough almost like a jerky. Fries were good and rocket is well, rocket. Waitstaff are very friendly. Outdoor seating on street took advantage of the sunshine. Overall didn't leave me with a "wow".

Smallish, friendly, cozy.

Excellent breakfast, authentic coffees and espresso. Not fast food... but good food, good service, casual environment, definitely worth stopping into.

Cute little restaurant in Greystones, where a vegetarian with a few euros to burn will be quite happy. Good wine list, too; I got a recommendation on a nice dry white I'd never heard of. Except for the reference to "courgettes" on the menu, I'd almost think I was in California. ;)

Brisket...delicious on a cold wet evening

You can't beat this place, best food in greystones, 90 Euro for 2 courses each and a couple of glasses really nice of wine. The staff are really nice, real homely feel to the place and the food is top notch, she had the steak I had the brisket, delicious...good night gaurenteed!

Half portion of fish and chips- delicious! Perfect lunch!

Another shocker! while discovering the exceptionally pleasant walk along the sea in Sandycove on…read moreSunday I also happened upon another new eatery which I had never heard of... tummy rumbling and child shouting we ventured forth. The Martello is a charming little bistro - the sort you really wish was within staggering distance of your own front door, sadly for us it would be a considerable stagger - some 10 miles - and there is no amount of alcohol of an eve that will keep me going that long. Inside it is perhaps a bit dark during the day but in the evening you don't notice this. The cuisine is European I guess; I can't nail it down any more than that. They do Seafood - glory be, a seaside restaurant that knows what a fish is! - this is a favourite rant of mine, not half enough fish places about... The menu is a set affair for 25Euro pp for a 3 course meal but splash out and pay the supplement of 4.50Eur and get the Dublin Bay Prawns, worth every cent. The Mediterranean Seafood stew is likewise worth a shot, lovely with a bottle of good dry white wine!

The kiwi had a steak, which was one of the most perfectly cooked steaks I have ever had. The service was perfect and lovely. They even remembered we had to be out of there by a certain time to make a show, so the food was prompt and beautiful. Add to that the fabulous gay couple sitting next to us, who were lovely, chatty, and told my bf how fabulous his outfit was. It was like home.

We were seated and ordered our food. Everything was delicious. The Dublin Coddle was really tasty, the great white pork chop was nicely done and the smoked potatoes were really crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The potato and pork farl was tasty with the bone marrow gravy and the green eggs and ham was tasty as well. We enjoyed our meals and walked over to the hotel to roll into bed and sleep off a great meal! See you next time!

After Covid, they switched from serving Irish food to Asian fusion which didn't make much money. So they switched back to Irish food and Michelin contacted them again! I didn't realize how much meat the Jamett's grill had. The lamb was absolutely delicious. The meatball was made of Wagyu beef, using either sauce was yummy. The two pieces of pork were ok. The lean part was a big tough. The sausages were a bit spicy, but pleasantly tasty. I wasn't able to finish the meat. The greens were a quarter of grilled cabbage topped with the sauce and pieces of ham. I personally thought the ham was unnecessary because the sauce itself was enough to flavor the cabbage. Gur Cake ice cream was the most surprising one. Some salt on the bottom, then a layer of chocolate custard, some corn flakes and a scope of cinnamon ice cream. It was a new thing for me since I never had anything like it. The waiter told me that it was the most ordered dessert. The restaurant setting is pleasant with two floors. I sat by the window watching the tour buses and people down there. The waiters were courteous and patient. One thing about the toilet for women, they provide free tampons and sanitary pads.

The spot is located up a literal winding staircase that takes you into an inviting room that boasts a lovely view of the river below. We didn't go to the third floor, but I can imagine it was equally lovely. They've got an impressive wine list and a moderate beer list that's predominantly bottle. Interestingly they don't have spirits so the mixed drinks are wine cocktails - boss! I tried a white port and tonic drink - seriously next level! I don't often find wine cocktails and even more rarely are they really good! The menu is impressive and seasonal, save the potted crab and haddock, which are on all the time. It should be know for any who dine with our crew, that we share a lot, so everything we had was enjoyed by all 5 of us. The crab was unbelievable! Creamy, flavorful, magical. The beef cheek and fish plate were also perfect for sharing. We also had two scotch eggs - these could have a Klondike bar (look it up youngins!) like marketing campaign! We shared the Haddock and the Pigs on Green Port Tenderloin. Both were awesome, with the Haddock more memorable. We haven't had such delicious mashed fish since Iceland and the cheddar mash and onions were the perfect accoutrement! The chocolate fondant was delicious and the bread and butter bread pudding was life changing. The whiskey sauce is something I'd swim in if given the chance! It was lick the plate good. The service was spot on and we got out of there for about €50 a person, full and happy! The whole evening was excellent and this place definitely deserves the accolades. If you're in the area, you should check it out!

This is evident by the name drop of some producers in each dish. My family was able to try a scotch egg for the first time, some beef cheek, crab and a charcuterie board with meats from Cork. Even the beers we ordered were local as well, mine from the Waterford area. Our server walked us through this experience with ease and we all couldn't be happier with our time here, especially for a Sunday afternoon when it could have been a lot louder and chaotic.

Meals looked lovely and well presented. I went for the Beer battered fish option on lunch menu and my request for mash potato instead of the frozen chips was honoured. Unfortunately potatoes cold and even the warm dish they served in didn't improve temperature so I just had to eat some mash with every bite of fish so the meal wasn't spoiled. Not that I would have wanted the potato microwaved but they should have been tasted or checked before serving. Fish was oozing grease so had to soak it off both sides with the napkins. Fish should have been left to drain off a bit while the potatoes were being warmed. Anyway my sons huge Buttermilk Burger & chips went down a treat. Loved that tea came in a non drip teapot but would have been nicer with a spoon of sugar. After seeing my son drop 2 sugar lumps trying to retrieve them from a tiny jar that teaspoon didnt fit in put me off having any, especially realising that only little fingers could fit in that jar and wondering if the lumps fall out on others 'do they just pop them back in jar again'? More hygienic way of serving sugar should be looked at. Having seen the dinner menu I am interested to go back again and give the Hudson Rooms another try. The ambiance, pleasant staff and competitive pricing has warranted at least another visit with higher expectations.
