One of my favorite bars in New Orleans. The drinks were really well priced and the tots were good, so that's all I can say for the food. The atmosphere was cool and there was live music. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. I would love to come back here.

Quick service, friendly staff & lots of Jazz music!! Drink menu has something for everyone. I enjoyed the summer muse that is light & refreshing with reasonable pricing!!

The only way to get a table is to order something from their menu. The other option is bar seating. The bar was full when we arrived on Saturday 7:30 December 7th. We wanted to sit so we ordered the chocolate bread pudding. They were out of ice cream, which it usually comes with it. It was rich and warm, it would have been better with ice cream, but it was still good. It was worth it just to get a seat. The vibe was enthusiastic and upbeat. I highly Reccomend the Three Muses.

Live music at this venue was fantastic!! We heard the Orphaned Storyline band - very entertaining, talented, and fun! Food came out quick and service was good, jazz club vibes. We loved the cauliflower bites with the spicy Korean Gochujang sauce but the chicken rice bowl was underwhelming, I did not like the seasoning of chicken. You're likely better off with the Bulgogi Bowl instead. The muse fries were undercooked and very litely seasoned. They were decent with Louisiana hot sauce and ketchup but nothing special.

Didn't try the food, but Three Muses is an under 21 friendly jazz club with music daily. My 17 year old son and I went twice while in New Orleans, and we enjoyed the music, the laid back ambience, the attentive and friendly service, and the strong mixed drinks (for me). I would be happy to attend even if I were not accompanied by a minor. Go and enjoy!

Was a bit wary of checking this place out because some of the reviews but so glad we went in, was so worth it. Friendly and attentive service, tasty drinks and the good food. All the plates were a good size. The gumbo was nice and spicy, the chicken sandwich was YUMMMMM and the red beans and rice was "f**king incredible" to quote my dinner companion. Heads up, if you're a person that likes a "little spice", this is much more than that so order accordingly. We started with fries along with our drinks and they were equally delicious (you gotta like perfectly fried fries). The trio that was playing was very good with a nice vibe with an amazing sounding Markbass amp.

This small restaurant with a small menu does it right. The ambiance, service, jazz musicians are awesome. We came on a Saturday evening for early dinner at 7pm and were greeted by very friendly staff. Not only were we seated quickly, we were given some amazing advice on the menu items. We ordered the Korean fried chicken sandwich, Ms Moons bulgogi rice bowl, and the muses fries. The muses fries came tossed in a Korean seasoning and served with a side of lemongrass ginger aioli. We also added the Alfredo sauce and the debris, which was pulled pork with gravy. This appetizer was very good, I preferred the Alfredo sauce than the debris but both were tasty. The Korean fried chicken sandwich had a decent sized super crispy chicken patty with amazing seasoning. Paired with the slaw and their Korean sauce, this dish became my favorite. My meal came with either fries or gumbo and I opted for the chicken gumbo. My wife had the bulgogi bowl which goes away from the original bulgogi flavors but still tasty in itself. The topper for this place was the jazz music. Awesome performers and great acoustics in this small room.

We loved this place. We needed a late lunch after a long day of walking around, and wow! We were so satisfied. The drinks were outstanding - fancy cocktail bar worthy but in an approachable setting. The musicians were talented and the service was friendly. If I was a local, this would be in the regular rotation.

We LOVED watching The Slick Skillet Serenaders. The bar is so intimate and cozy with plenty of seating. One drink minimum per set and just a total chill vibe. Exactly what we were looking for on Frenchmen Street. The musicians are wonderful and super talented.

Had dinner here on a weekday night because we saw the live band from the street. The food was a bit disappointing, particularly The bulgogi bowl. The meat was very hard to chew, and it really wasn't authentic. The fries as appetizers were way too salty. Our waitress was patient and nice though. The band was pretty good. They went around to every table and asked for tips after each of their sets, which was a little disrupting. At least they had clean and spacious bathrooms. Overall, the food wasn't great. I'd probably only recommend ordering drinks and listening to the band.

Great music with a cozy environment. My only complaint is some of the seats in the back don't have a decent view of the artists. Spent a good amount of time enjoying the live music assortment that they had and slowly consuming fries and some smaller dishes. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quieter vibe

While I'm New Orleans I wanted to have one "band in a restaurant" dining experience and so I made reservations here (deposit required on Tock). We had to wait a few minutes to get seated and quite a few folks were told there was a long wait for a table, so if you have your heart set on dining here I would definitely make a reservation. We were seated at the high tops near the back of the intimate restaurant and there was a clarinet/saxophonist and piano duo entertaining us for the evening. We both started with a cocktail which we both loved, and shared the pork buns which were really good. I decided on the Banh mi sandwich and my bf had the noodle soup. I didn't get to try any of his but I really liked the sandwich. The seasoning on the fries is different but tasty, and they went well with the sandwich and the aioli (which I usually don't like with fries). The service was great and the music was the perfect backdrop to the meal. They do have a small menu and you won't find any traditional New Orleans fare on it, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

We wandered into the Three Muses while exploring Frenchman St after finishing our tattoos at the Electric Ladyland shop. We were encouraged to go in to Three Muses by my what appeared to be, a local gentleman sitting outside touting about their food offerings. Unfortunately, they were not serving hot food at that time but we did sample the drink menu...it was sparse due to the staff not knowing where to locate all the necessary ingredients for all the cocktails on their menu but I lucked out and they had what was needed for the signature martini I longed for as well as for my husbands go to, Long Island. Both were good! Strong and tasty. Cute establishment, great art on the walls and they have live music in the evenings

Ask the Community - Three Muses

If we want to come for drinks and to listen to the music should we make a reservation?

You can only sit at a table if you're ordering food.

Is there cover at 3 Muses?

This is a restaurant and bar with music venue. So while there is no cover charge for the music, tables are usually by reservation for a 2 hour meal slot and the bar is first come first served. The band is paid by the establishment but there is a tip…

18 and over?

Although it's a restaurant that serves all ages, you must be 21 to order drinks their bar.

21 and older only?

During the earlier shows, think 5pm ish, there were definitely littles dancing around... come later though, I'm pretty certain it was 21 and over.

With the recent rain, the usual…read morepotent French Quarter street smells were washed away, leaving the air beautifully fresh and the temperatures perfectly cool. Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! We will be back.

The host was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our server and helpers were over quickly to drop off waters and greet us. I ended up ordered the salmon. With it being so early and only one or 2 other tables besides my friend and me, the food did take longer to come out than I expected it to. Both of us did thoroughly enjoy what we got. The salmon was crispy on the outside with a nice sauce over it. We thought we'd have time to get dessert so we ordered a couple but that too took a very long time. We finally waved down our server to cancel and get the check since we had to be somewhere and he apologized and said their WiFi was going in and out so it could be that it was registering on the kitchen side. That may have explained why our entrees took too long. If it wasn't for the service and the food being great - I would not be thrilled about timing. We got there around 5:30p and had to leave by 7:15p so an almost 2 hours experience that probably could have been 1 hour.

We came in Saturday night without a reservation and only had to wait a few minutes. Our waitress was amazing from the second we sat down. I really wish I remembered her name because she was super attentive, funny, patient, and honestly made the whole experience even better. My boyfriend and I started with the Creole oysters and OMG... probably some of the best oysters I've ever had. They were incredibly flavorful, and dipping the bread into all that sauce afterward was SO good. My mother-in-law had the fried calamari, which came with remoulade, and she really enjoyed it. For my entrée, I had the jambalaya with chicken and andouille sausage. It was definitely spicy, but really, really good. My boyfriend and mother-in-law both had the grilled red snapper topped with their creamy crawfish sauce, and they loved it. My father-in-law had one of the oyster specials with shrimp and crawfish, which was also excellent. We finished with dessert... boyfriend and I had a chocolate mousse/cake dessert and my in-laws had the bread pudding. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was casual and fun, they had the football games playing on the TVs, and our waitress was fantastic the entire night. Just an overall great experience. If you love seafood and oysters, definitely give this place a try. I would 100% come back!

One thing viable at first was the collection of historical military portraits and photographs displayed on the wall! Their add such an interesting character! One of those restaurant that offers more than food. Now let's talk about FOOD!!! Luke offers a lovely combination of French, German, and Louisiana Creole cuisine. The menu includes everything from traditional shrimp and grits and Gulf seafood to European classics like crispy pork schnitzel with spaetzle. If you're a seafood lover, the raw bar is another highlight, especially the fresh Gulf oysters!!! We ordered Shrimp cocktail? the Pork schnitzel and shrimp and grits. Another great reason to visit is their daily happy hour, traditionally offered from 3 PM to 6 PM, with oyster specials and discounted drinks. Definitely worth checking the current promotions before visiting!!! New Orleans has a fascinating French and German cultural heritage, and Luke brings those influences together beautifully through its brasserie concept. The hostess was lovely, and our server was very welcoming and friendly!!! However, one thing that I found a little strange was the seating situation...Apparently, reservations are highly recommended, even though there were plenty of unoccupied tables when we arrived!!! We were told those tables were reserved, so we ended up sitting at the bar instead...And let me tell you, those backless bar stools are NOT comfortable at all!!! Haha!!! No back support means hello, back pain!!! Especially if you're planning to sit there for a while and enjoy your meal!!! I personally would have preferred a regular table with comfortable chairs.BUT I have to admit, the ambiance was pretty cool!!! So my suggestion? Make a reservation in advance and request a regular table unless you don't mind sacrificing a little back comfort for the bar experience!!! Voilà!!! The green peppers were definitely spicier than I expected, so I ended up picking most of them out, but everything else was really flavorful. The portions are on the smaller side considering the price, so I'd keep that in mind when ordering. That said, the crispy Brussels sprouts absolutely live up to the reputation -- definitely one of the highlights! Service was another strong point. Everyone was attentive and friendly, and they checked in periodically without being overbearing. Everything felt pretty well managed throughout the meal The ambiance is more of a classic, casual diner-style setup, with dim lighting and paper-covered tables. Seating was comfortable overall, although the space felt a little tight in some areas Overall, if you don't mind paying a bit more for smaller portions, I'd still say this is a spot worth checking out while you're in New Orleans.
