For the vehicle safety inspection, I didn't have to make an appointment.  It was fine to do a walk-in. When I visited Emily's Garage, there was a customer who was pretty upset with the repairs and the cost.  I was able to hear what the customer had to go through but I would not comment on that as I have limited information. From my experience of getting my vehicle inspected, I was very surprised at how quickly they were able to complete the vehicle inspection.  It was done in less than 2 minutes, and I paid over $50 for that service.   For comparison, when I had my vehicle inspected at Les Schwab Tire Centers in Portland, they spent over 20 minutes to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and the cost for the inspection was only $20.   Will I re-visit Emily's Garage for the vehicle inspection?  Probably not but if the state requires me to get the vehicle inspection done, I will probably have no choice as there are not that many shops that offer the ASE-certified inspection.

WTF, let me break it down for you. $155.00 for Labor, $100.00 for parts, $15.89 total fees, Subtotal $177.04 and then there's tax of $16.46. Grand total $193.50. Almost $200 for a FORKING oil and filter change. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. They will rip you off. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.
