The bacon jam smashed burger had the right combination of sweet and savory. The French fries have some sort of coating on them ( not seasoning) and they were tasty. Great burgers! We got the Southwest, Kings Signature, and Bacon Jam. Of the 3, I thought the Bacon Jam was the best because it was different from what I'm used to. I've had bacon on my burgers, but never bacon jam before. I had asked the hostess and waitress who the 3 kings were. Were we tired from driving from our rental to San Fran, then the flight from San Fran to St. Louis? Yes. Did we know our flight home would be delayed like 3 hours? No. Had we known would we have stayed a lot longer eating and drinking? Yes. My brother in law recommended this place and he was right. After having to stalk for a table, we finally got seated. Boy was it crowded. Our server was great and busy. Definitely got drinks out quick and they were loaded. The burgers were on point. Nothing left on the plates. Server was nice but was kind of in a rush. Other server was also kind of rude to the table beside us. Environment had a nice sportbar brick vibe. St. Louis Lambert International Airport has one of the worst food options I've ever been to and this restaurant was kind of our last resort. Lobster Bisque 3.5/5 Flavorful and had a good balance of lobster and creaminess but lacked dimension and had very little lobster bits. Almost like a heated up good can of lobster bisque. I was given a small plastic spoon for the soup whereas I got metal fork and knife for my chicken wrap ‍ Buffalo Chicken Wrap 3/5 Fries were good but chicken wrap came out greasy with too much buffalo sauce and being a little too sour and spicy that you couldn't taste the chicken. read more

We stopped here in St Louis airport on a Monday morning. Packed but a lot of space to sit. They have tables outside of the restaurant, dining tables and bar seating. We sat at the bar because that was all that was available. The wait staff was super busy so we had to wait a few minutes to order but the food was prepared quick. I normally don't go out of my way to write a 1-star review, but WOW- this was my first glimpse of southern hospitality and I hope I can spare other travelers from experiencing Three Kings Public House hospitality! I was waiting out my layover at the St Louise airport, I went to an empty side of the airport to sit somewhere quiet. Near the empty terminal was a very quiet well lit restaurant, that had seat yourself service. The restaurant being ENTIRELY empty, without even a patron at the bar- it seemed like the perfect place to eat. I sat myself at a table in the back that sat 4, and started looking through the menu. A later middle aged Caucasian lady came by without a greeting, and asked me if I could sit at a smaller table, "in case we got busy". I looked around at the COMPLETELY empty restaurant and then asked if I could move once it got busy, as I prefer private areas. She walked away with an audible huff before I even finished speaking. I thought the interaction was strange, but dismissed it to continue sorting through the menu. Not 5 minutes later, a couple comes to the restaurant. The lady loudly announced that "every table in the restaurant is available EXCEPT the corner table- which is just silly." I looked up and around again because surely she wasn't talking about me. She was. She then asked them if she could get them a drink, and came by to ask me the same question. I told her I was still looking- She huffed LOUDER and walked over to the bar. The lady working the bar, loudly enough to overhear, said "you can handle that one." to which my server responded, "and I was having such a great day before-" and waves a hand towards me from over her back. At around this point, I decided I didn't want to pay $30 for a burger and fries and backhanded remarks. I stood up, announced that "I wanted to free up the table in case it got busy" and left, followed by two more audible huffs. (I'm not from the south so I'm not sure if huffing holds a special meaning here, but I sure got an abnormal amount of them!) I ended up going to the burger bar near Terminal E22 and the lady working there, Erica I think, was so pleasant DESPITE having a lot more customers to juggle. She worked the bar, bussed and served tables with such a kind demeanor, that she made up for miles what The 3 Kings lacked in terms of customer service and basic respect. The guy at the front (Anthony) was exceptionally rude and didn't feel the need to greet us for a very long time as I stood in front of his face. Not even a "just a minute." The food took forever. My Southwest flight took me through St. Louis heading out and back so I ended up at Three Kings Public House for two meals! Lambert International didn't seem to have many good food options and Three Kings is decent bar food but the menu is quite small and a bit greasy. The smashburger I had was pretty decent along with the toasted ravioli but the wings? Ugh, over-fried with way too much coating and not enough sauce. Really find it hard you can cook bad wings but here we are. Not sure what Three Kings Public House is like outside of the airport but at Lambert, it was just good enough. Not terrible, just ok and a passable beer selection. YMMV read more

The reviews were quite mixed but I decided to risk it and went to the Three Kings on a weekday at 1pm. Great decision. FYI restaurant is not in the concourse with TSA security but in the concourse to the other gates much quieter. It was "seat yourself" with a least two free tables and lots of space at the bar. Waitress came almost immediately with a menu but I had looked on line as a QR code on table. I ordered the bacon jam smash burger. Drink was delivered right away and the food arrived about 5-7 minutes later. Burger was hot, juicy and great. The French fries (which came with burger) also were outstanding with a tasty seasoned crust. Price is typical airport high Mercedes was the waitress. Efficient, very pleasant, answered a question, and attentive. Please give her a raise!! Definitely will come here the next time through the St Louis airport. read more

While waiting to get a connecting flight my wife and I decided to stop in for a bite to eat. There was a single table for two, so we sat down and ordered. Little did we realize that another couple walked in traveling the same place we were wanted us to join them at table for 4 that just opened. So we moved to join them. Whoa you thought we just did the crime of the century for moving tables?! The manager came over and explained that each server has their own area and once you sit down that's where you have to stay! Really? Apparently the manager worked it out and said there would be two different servers. To be honest I didn't consider this be to rude or disrespectful but we wanted to join friends for dinner. Overall the food was good - I choose the Club Sandwich & fries, my wife choose the burger. Turned out the other couple enjoyed their meal as well. The eggs and wheat toast weren't bad but everything else was terrible. My partner got the egg biscuit sandwich and it was so sad looking and tasted even sadder. The bacon was practically dust, looked and tasted like it was cooked and re-heated at least 5 minutes. The tater tots were identical to the tots I received in my elementary school cafeteria. They had a banner up saying that they were voted the #2 airport restaurant in the U.S. and they had fish & chips so I figured I'd check them out. The waitress was attentive and took my order almost immediately after sitting down. I ordered a beer along with fish & chips. The place was pretty packed, so it took a little while to get my food. I was standing by the kitchen, so I was able to see that food was being sent out to customers as soon as it was ready. My food came out hot, but I thought my fish might be a little overcooked. After biting into it, I realized that it was fried perfectly. This was probably the most well-seasoned beer-battered fish I've ever had. The fish was moist and the batter was tasty. The fries were seasoned really well too. The price was what you'd expect to pay at the airport, so no complaints there. So, this place is not as awesome as the one on the loop, but it's in an airport, right? It sure as heck beats most airport places. I have a theory that airport restaurants rarely achieve great ratings, partly because many of them suck, but partly because traveling can be stressful and people *might* be more likely to leave worse reviews. Jake, our server today, was awesome. Attentive, friendly, checked in with us often to make sure we were happy. We chose to sit in the outer seating area along the terminal walkway so we had access to phone chargers plus it was quieter out there. Our drinks and food all came quickly. Decent selection of brews; I chose cider from local brewery, Urban Chestnut. Hubby and I split a turkey club with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was good; not the most amazing sandwich ever, but a decent choice for a quick airport meal.
