Bacon jam smash burger
Linda O.

Located inside the St Louis airport. Limited seating inside but there is seating in the hallway. Service was very slow however the food was good. The bacon jam smashed burger had the right combination of sweet and savory. The French fries have some sort of coating on them ( not seasoning) and they were tasty. As in all airports , the food is not cheap. $18.99 for a burger and fries. We were fortunate to get a table and had a long enough layover that the slow service was not an issue. I notice a take out area up front, maybe that's faster.

Great burgers! We got the Southwest, Kings Signature, and Bacon Jam. Of the 3, I thought the Bacon Jam was the best because it was different from what I'm used to. I've had bacon on my burgers, but never bacon jam before. I had asked the hostess and waitress who the 3 kings were. I recognized Elvis Presley and King Kong, but didn't recognize the king in the middle. Does anyone know??

Well YELPies.. I stopped into this Cute little bar in the St. Louis airport. Staff is quite friendly and the food is good. It is on the expensive side 18.50 for the Bacon Jam Burger. I had fries and a coke and that was 11. So choose your poison YELPies... I'm headed to Puerto Rico , so a short stop before the real food and fun in the sun begins. Until the next adventure my dear YELPies!

Server was nice but was kind of in a rush. Other server was also kind of rude to the table beside us. Environment had a nice sportbar brick vibe. St. Louis Lambert International Airport has one of the worst food options I've ever been to and this restaurant was kind of our last resort. Lobster Bisque 3.5/5 Flavorful and had a good balance of lobster and creaminess but lacked dimension and had very little lobster bits. Almost like a heated up good can of lobster bisque. I was given a small plastic spoon for the soup whereas I got metal fork and knife for my chicken wrap ‍ Buffalo Chicken Wrap 3/5 Fries were good but chicken wrap came out greasy with too much buffalo sauce and being a little too sour and spicy that you couldn't taste the chicken.

We stopped here in St Louis airport on a Monday morning. Packed but a lot of space to sit. They have tables outside of the restaurant, dining tables and bar seating. We sat at the bar because that was all that was available. The wait staff was super busy so we had to wait a few minutes to order but the food was prepared quick. My husband got the breakfast platter which looked nice. He loved the eggs, bacon and crunchy toast but the hashbrowns were a little cold. They were tater tots. I had the egg bacon and cheese biscuit. The biscuit was small but very good.

Friendly service in a high stress environment is essential. Food prep was fast and the food was hot and made to order. I had the Breakfast American- so a basic eggs, bacon, sourdough toast and tots! ($13.99) Nice portions with reasonable price. Coffee ($3.79) and in a to-go cup so they are already expecting you to ask. Definitely worth it and will revisit on my next layover.

The service was so slow and I was only in the To go line. The food was inedible. My burrito was super greasy on the bottom and the chorizo had a weird taste. Also, my tater tots were fried so hard that they were hard and dry. I ended up just throwing everything away. Avoid this place if possible.

My Southwest flight took me through St. Louis heading out and back so I ended up at Three Kings Public House for two meals! Lambert International didn't seem to have many good food options and Three Kings is decent bar food but the menu is quite small and a bit greasy. The smashburger I had was pretty decent along with the toasted ravioli but the wings? Ugh, over-fried with way too much coating and not enough sauce. Really find it hard you can cook bad wings but here we are. Not sure what Three Kings Public House is like outside of the airport but at Lambert, it was just good enough. Not terrible, just ok and a passable beer selection. YMMV

Club Sandwich & Freedom Fries

While waiting to get a connecting flight my wife and I decided to stop in for a bite to eat. There was a single table for two, so we sat down and ordered. Little did we realize that another couple walked in traveling the same place we were wanted us to join them at table for 4 that just opened. So we moved to join them. Whoa you thought we just did the crime of the century for moving tables?! The manager came over and explained that each server has their own area and once you sit down that's where you have to stay! Really? Apparently the manager worked it out and said there would be two different servers. To be honest I didn't consider this be to rude or disrespectful but we wanted to join friends for dinner. Overall the food was good - I choose the Club Sandwich & fries, my wife choose the burger. Turned out the other couple enjoyed their meal as well. We realize that this a short time dining experience while waiting no catch a flight. We're thankful the manager was helpful!

They were out of a lot of stuff but I picked a fish sandwich & fries. Had to ask for fresh fries because they sent cold ones out. They are very understaffed but let me say the lady there (Laurie?) She was on the go and kept her cool. She rang up to go items, took food orders and Bartender! I had to double her tip because she was AWESOMESAUCE! Cool spot to grab a bite & a drink on a layover in St. Louis

Despite that, the other tables seemed to receive constant attention while our waitress disappeared for long stretches of time. We were initially seated in the side room with a large industrial fan blowing so hard that it was moving the menus off the table. We waited for the waitress to return so we could request a different table, but she never came back, so we moved ourselves to another empty table away from the fan. She seemed unhappy about the move and told us we might have to relocate again because they were expecting a busy day. Honestly, the restaurant was empty, and we would have been finished long before any rush started -- which we were. I asked for ketchup with my burger, and it didn't arrive until after I had already finished eating. Overall, the service was very poor. Unfortunately, the food was also extremely salty -- and we're people who normally enjoy salt. I had the Farmhouse Burger with Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese, while my wife ordered the steak and fries cooked medium well. The steak came out medium rare, and both her fries and my burger and Brussels sprouts were overly salted. The one bright spot was the mac and cheese, which we took to go. My daughter tried some and said it was the best she'd ever had. To top it off, our bill came to an even $100 with tip, and all we had were waters and the items mentioned above. We had been wanting to try Retreat for quite a while, so this experience was very disappointing. Between the poor service and underwhelming food, we probably won't be coming back.

The only real warmth we encountered came from the female host; the rest of the staff delivered service that hovered somewhere between disinterested and "we're doing you a favor by being here." We kicked things off with the fried deviled eggs, which arrived neither fried nor particularly deviled -- just cold little reminders that hope is fleeting. Cocktails landed squarely in "General Public" territory. My Squatty Potty showed up lukewarm, like it had been loitering at the bar contemplating its life choices instead of making it to the table piping hot. A chicken Caesar salad was perfectly fine... if you enjoy playing hide-and-seek with the chicken. The breakfast burger came on an English muffin with what might be the most emotionally unavailable portion of hash brown casserole I've ever seen -- tiny, distant, and gone too soon. Then there's the Scream Burger. Marketed as ghost-pepper spicy, priced like it's the main event, and delivered with all the heat of a polite Midwestern handshake. Dry, bland, and somehow bold enough to charge me an extra dollar for more mayo -- because nothing says "premium burger experience" like a condiment upcharge to make it edible. My husband's Pork Pountine? Imagine fries sprinkled with a few bacon bits like confetti at a party nobody wanted to attend. We came in excited because Eat Crow in Soulard sets the bar high. Unfortunately, Crows Nest feels like it's cooking for someone driving in from Chesterfield who asked the kitchen to "tone it down." If you're craving the real deal, do yourself a favor: go to Soulard. This nest still needs a lot more feathers. And to the influencers calling this place "amazing" -- do better. Honest, authentic reviews help restaurants grow and help diners know what they're walking into. Stop selling hype and start telling the truth.

I met here with members of a local running group for one of their periodic pub runs. It was extremely cold when I got there, despite having been nearly 90 degrees out the day before. Several members of our group stood in the doorway, preventing other patrons from entering and exiting. Modern's staff deserves credit for not complaining or forcing them to leave. They may have sensed that this wasn't the local unhoused population. Only employed people run recreationally, despite having relatively little free time. I see this place all the time, from my car on the adjacent highway, on my way back to civilization, but I'd never had the occasion to stop by. Perhaps I'd be a regular if I attended the nearby community college. But if I could afford to eat here, why would I be attending community college? The beer will set you back. I would have been fine with a 32 oz can of Miller High Life, but when in Rome. There's an extensive selection of beers on tap, and probably even more in cans and bottles. I'm no connoisseur, and I don't have that kind of time, so I went with something called Silent Gs, or something to that effect. I justified it, in part, by telling myself that its name is a reference to the Lil Wayne bar adored by people who started listening to rap music in 2003. I paid $7.50-ish for a not particularly large serving, but damn it if it wasn't pretty good. I appreciate it anytime one of these higher gravity pale ales doesn't taste like it was sourced from a trough-style urinal at a circa '83 ballpark. A couple of girls from the aforementioned run group mentioned that this place carries a brussels spouts salad. I don't eat salad, because I'm a guy, but these girls are certified baddies, and I succumbed to the peer pressure. I attempted to mitigate the impact on my reputation by also ordering a slice of pepperoni pizza. I'm gonna have to have a difficult meeting with my accountant, as a result, but it was worth it. The entree serving of the salad would have been enough food, even without the pizza. It's enough vegetables that it's actually kinda obnoxious, like they're trolling you. Who do they think I am, a damn cow? Part of that may have been the brussels sprouts. They help give the salad a surprising heft, for something that doesn't have any meat in it, and help make up for the lack of bacon, which I generally require with brussels sprouts. The candied walnuts, which I thought might be croutons, were another delightful surprise and complemented the tang of the pickled red onions. The pizza came topped with an oddly precise-looking quantity and arrangement of pepperonis, like they might have Russell Crowe from the movie A Beautiful Mind working in the kitchen. It's not like at Domino's, where they just toss them on there and they might not even be on half the pizza. I guess they have to do that when they sell it by the slice. You'd be upset if you didn't get enough of them, because they're delicious. They're the kind that curl up into little cups filled with disgustingly unhealthy and yet delicious oil. I wonder if that's also because they serve it by the slice and hence have to reheat it. That may have resulted in the end of the crust suffering from a bit of Popeyes biscuit-like dryness, but what are you going to do. Then again, that may have been a purposeful attempt to get you to purchase more expensive beer. Everything else here was so well executed, it's hard to imagine this wasn't intentional on their part.

Half of the food came out cold and the other half never came with the extra sauce we asked for…read more First and probably last time here. Nothing in this experience tells me it's worth another try. Will take food home to throw in the air fryer.

We arrived right on time for our reservation, stood for quite a few minutes in a half-empty house before being seated, then waited a very long time between visits from our apparently over-stretched waitstaff. The first cocktail I chose wasn't available; nor was the first entree. I settled on the "red wine flight", and it arrived in three glasses. The server recited their names, but I didn't catch them. Food was middle of the road. A smoked sirloin sandwich was tasty, though rather well-done. And the order of "salmon cakes", which the menu says is made of "smoked salmon, roast corn, tomato, cucumber, creme fraiche, and capers" was in fact just one cake (not cakes!), smaller than a hockey puck (about 1/2" thick max) and seemed to be made of canned fish, not the bright orange of smoked salmon. It was accompanied by five thin slices of cucumber and three or four halved grape tomatoes. No corn, no capers. It was so boring, and an overpriced disappointment at $23. If this Bridge is actually closing and focusing on the event space, they've gone out with a whimper.
