Very generous portions of food at a decent price. The chicken wings were o.k., fried a little too hard for my taste. The gyro sandwich was really good, but the star of this show is the catfish and jumbo fried shrimp, amazing! The staff is always pleasant to me, and I've never had any issues with service or incorrect orders, but I guess given the volume they do, that's bound to happen. Came here for the first time to grab lunch for me and my coworkers not too long ago after seeing all the good reviews and I was not let down. I didn't call in my order so it took about 20 minutes for them to make it, but it was worth the wait. The portions are huge for the price and the food is amazing!! I got the catfish nugget combo meal and it was some of the best catfish I've had in a long time. I will definitely be going back to this hole in the wall shop for more food! read more

Found out about this place thru the grapevine and oh yea! Heard about the lunch specials, so some friends and I decided to check it out. 1st off, this place is located inside Unique Mart, so you can get Liquor, Snacks, Greetings Cards and Freshly Cooked food all in 1 spot. So convenient! 11a to 2p, $5 lunch specials are available. Specials come with fries and a 12oz canned drink of your choice...For 5 Dollars! 2 of us went with the Philly, 2 went with the 6pc whole wings, 1 person 2pc catfish fillets. All the food was awesome! Cooked and Seasoned well. The value and quality of the food for the price, we were so impressed. Philly had the perfect meat to cheese to bread ratio. The bread was fresh and soft. Wings nice and crisp...did I mention they are whole wings! Catfish not overcooked and not overseasoned. We have found a new Sat lunch spot. I was pleasantly surprised about the service and the food. I got the lunch special, which is more than enough for even dinner. The people who work there were really nice, and I loved the personality of the man who was actually doing the cooking. I will go back. Call in advance and still expect a short wait, which is my only criticism. [Oct. 2017 update] The owner and the men behind the counter are wonderful. There is another young woman who generally works in the evening who is amazing and who has a lovely personality. However, there is a young woman who works during the day and she has the worst personality. They keep her on though she is rude, and because they keep her, I decided to stop buying food from them. I don't see the draw at all. My fish talapia has more skin on it than fish and fried to a crisp that only 25 % was edible. Fries were soggy and weirdly tasted of something sweet and smelled very odd. I guess cause EVERYTHING is fried in the same oil. Will never go back and it's not cheap at all. Other chain fish restaurants are waaaay better. read more

Great food...Ghetto and unprofessional customer service. I order from this place ALL THE TIME, and for the most part the food has always been fantastic! Recently, however, I had an encounter with an extremely rude cashier by the name of Shae and the head cook. On the menus that are provided at their counter, it explicitly states for faster service to call in and that all orders must be in by 10PM. In addition, I have spoken to the owner Moe and he has also stated I am more than welcome to call in my orders up until 10PM. This past Friday, I attempted to call in a order at 9:30PM and was told by their ghetto cashier "we closed we aint takin no orders". Then the phone was slammed down in my face. I called back and asked to place an order and was told again they were done taking orders and I needed to have my order in by 9PM. I advised that their menu and the owner states I can place orders up until 10PM. I was then rudely advised that Moe (the owner) doesn't run the kitchen and my order would not be taken. At this point I was placed on the phone with the head cook. I advised I was a regular customer, and I have placed orders before up until 10PM and reminded him what their own menu says. The cook proceeded to raise his voice, argue with me then essentially told me he was not taking my order and then he also slammed the phone down in my face. This place used to offer fast, friendly, and superior customer service. As they have gained popularity and manged to generate more business (due to people like myself spreading the word), one would think they would remember their humble beginnings. Now, I am met with regular price increases and more recently...rude, ghetto, and unprofessional customer service. This place used to be GREAT! Now I would not eat their ever again nor do I recommend anyone else do either as they do not honor their documented literature (menu) and they lack respect for their customers and accountability for their employees. I suggesst this place find intelligent and polite employees to work their counters and someone with a formal business education to address their business policies and procedures. If you need some good food go here but if you need fast food dont come here took a while to make food like 20 mins but the food is great its a liquor store and a place that makes food . the place and fryers look clean and every time they make different foods they.
