We were at CarMax in Fairfield and needed a good meal. Three Italian Restaurant was perfect. Delicious food, excellent service, cute decor inside, cute patio facing the Main Street, and great music. Classy, but not fancy. Just right. Highly recommend. If you are at CarMax, this wonderful restaurant is less than a 5 minute drive. An expressway goes directly there and back.

Caesar Salad. Yummy dressing and croutons!

My Son and I were craving italian food. I have been aware of this wonderful restaurant but have not visited and that was certainly my loss!! This place is great!! Cute atmosphere with friendly service. The owner was great to chat with and made sure we were taken care of. We were in the back area since I brought my dog and they were very accommodating. We began with the Caesar Salad. The lettuce was cold and the homemade dressing and croutons were simply excellent. We had the Chicken Parmeasan and the pasta Fiorentina and added chicken. Both were fantastic. Wonderful home made sauces and perfectly cooked pasta. The marinara sauce was so good next time I'll get some extra on the side!! I highly recommend this place. I will be back for sure !!

We had the New York steak and The Chef Shrimp Special: Grilled Shrimp, Sweet Mango Sauce, Red Chili Pepper, Vinaigrette, Garlic & Sesame Seed with, Mashed Potatoes, & Vegetable with mango sauce. It was okay... steak was $35 and shrimp was $32. $75 for two Good service!

We had Chicken Parm with Linguini and Gnocchi with Pesto sauce and chicken. Delicious. Large servings, served very hot. Chianti was excellent, too

Needed a break from our routine crave for anything Asian. And glad we found this gem of a place. When you walk in you get transported to little Italy. Love the music choices. Super friendly and attentive service. Everyone enjoyed their pasta. Chicken was a bit dry but the flavors of the pasta made up for that. Nice portions. Indoor or outdoor dining available. For a table of 3 we spent about 130.00 for one appetizer, 3 entrees , 2 desserts, and 3 beverages. Not bad for a dinner.

We heard there was an excellent local trattoria that we absolutely had to try. Three Restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Fairfield with plenty of nearby street parking. The restaurant has an Italian theme with inviting decor. There's a bar with several local craft beers on tap and a nice selection of wines. We started with the minestrone and a cup of clam chowder. They each came with a slice of garlic bread. Excellent taste! I had the NY steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli accompanied by a chimichurri sauce and a slice of garlic bread. Also excellent! My wife had the garlic shrimp pasta which had a good amount of shrimp. Very tasty. The owner, Francisco, greeted us and made all the customers feel welcome. There's plenty of outdoor seating out front. We'll definitely be back!

Wandered in for lunch over the weekend. Nice customer service and appreciated how they explained how to order. You can also start a drinks tab. Beers and ciders are local. Food is fine. This place definitely gets a lot of customers and they have outdoor seating. Portions aren't huge, thank goodness. May need to come back for dinner.

    Crème brûlée was excellent

Delicious meal, excellent service and loved the atmosphere! We will be back to enjoy another meal soon.

We heard about this place and decided to check it out. They have plenty of outdoor seating as well as inside. The atmosphere is cool! It felt comfortable and relaxing with laid back jazz music playing. When I first walked in I was there a few minutes before anyone came out. Hmmm... A guy came out. I let him know it was my first time here and asked about their internet prices vs. the printed menu pricing. They were different. He said the printed menu price was the most current. I suppose the website needs to be updated... Food or drink orders are placed before you sit at a table. They will bring the food out to you. ***Notice the sign at the register that says there is a 3% charge to use your credit or debit card. Bring some cash if you don't want to pay the fee. Thankfully I had some cash on hand which I don't normally carry. I ordered the garlic shrimp pasta. It did not disappoint. The shrimp was tender and the pasta was 'al dente'. The dish came with three pieces of perfectly toasted garlic bread. I enjoyed it a lot. When the 'happy hour' time came, a server I was able to find said I'd have to come back in to order/pay then they'd bring it out. That was a bummer! I didn't want to have to leave my half eaten food, go back inside and place a drink order, so I went without. For a first time visit this place was okay. I appreciate that their food was great. If it wasn't I wouldn't return, but I'm willing to try again.

Super personable, great energy, and made the whole experience feel effortless. I ordered the peanut butter and jelly burger--smash-style patty with bacon, peanut butter, jelly, Tabasco, and pickles--and wow... one of the most unique and satisfying burgers I've had in a long time. It hits that perfect balance of savory, sweet, and nostalgic. I asked Paul what he would pair with it, and he absolutely nailed it. He introduced me to "Chimp My Ride" from Solano Brewing Company, a rich stout with chocolate and peanut butter notes that complemented the burger perfectly. It honestly brought back that childhood lunchbox feeling in the best way possible. On top of that, Chef Jamie personally brought out the food and took the time to connect--great conversation, great presence, and you can tell there's real pride behind what they're doing here. The vibe, the style, the food, and the people all come together here. Easy five stars. I'll definitely be back.

Within minutes, I knew I'd found exactly where I wanted to spend a hot summer afternoon. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between neighborhood tavern and craft beer destination. Vintage bicycles hang overhead, dozens of rotating taps line the wall, and the energy is lively without ever feeling chaotic. Whether you're catching the match, meeting friends after work, or simply escaping the summer heat, Rustwater has that welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay for another round. Following the bartender's recommendation, I ordered the Chicken Ciabatta from the specials board with a side of crispy tater tots, and it was absolutely the right call. The sandwich arrived beautifully presented on a perfectly toasted ciabatta roll with just the right amount of crunch. Inside was juicy grilled chicken layered with smoky bacon, melted provolone, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, and a flavorful pesto mayo that brought everything together without overpowering the fresh ingredients. Every bite delivered a wonderful combination of textures and balanced flavors. The tater tots were exactly what great tavern food should be, golden, crisp, and light on the outside with a fluffy interior. They became downright addictive when dipped into a combination of ketchup and a Ghost Hot Sauce that once they are out they are out adding a slow-building kick that complemented the crispy potatoes perfectly. As I enjoyed a cold pint from their outstanding rotating tap list, Spain put the finishing touches on a 2-0 victory over France, sending them to the World Cup Final. Great soccer, an exceptional craft beer, and a fantastic lunch, it doesn't get much better than that on a scorching summer afternoon. Rustwater has earned its reputation over the years, and it's easy to understand why. Friendly service, an outstanding craft beer program, elevated tavern food, and an atmosphere that invites you to linger long after the final whistle. If you're looking for one of downtown Fairfield's best spots to enjoy creative tavern fare, explore an ever-changing lineup of craft beers, and catch the big game, Rustwater Kitchen & Taproom deserves a place on your list. I'll definitely be back to see what's on tap next, and without question, those crispy tater tots will be making another appearance on my table with the ghost hot sauce, if still available, due to the company going out of business.

Which was why when craft beer boomed everywhere else, I wasn't at all surprised that it was largely absent from Vacaville. & that is also why Solano Brewing Company was such a pleasant discovery for me. On a visit back to the area, a friend I used to homebrew with for years introduced me to an actual craft brewery with, technically, a Vacaville address. While it's a good distance outside of town, it's still close enough to be someplace to go around Vacaville that's more interesting than the town's repetitive corporate chain dining & big box retail. It's a great spot to grab some quality brews. There's plenty of parking. There's inviting spaces, both indoor & outdoor, for sitting & relaxing a while. The outdoor area is quite expansive. The service has been friendly & welcoming. & yeah, I like the beers. For me, Solano Brewing Company is 1 of the better breweries in the Vacaville/ Dixon/ Davis region. So if you're in, around, or near Vacaville looking for a day/ night out to chill & maybe have a beer, consider Solano Brewing Company as an alternative to the ho-hum humdrum predictable complacency of the town's many name recognition chain brands. Any questions regarding any of the beers or anything else for that matter are promptly answered. If its beer related and you just aren't sure, they happily offer a taster. I find almost all the beers delightful. There's been a few duds, but I like that they are always trying new things. The menu has some consistent favorites, but you'll see new items fairly consistently. I especially enjoy "Hazy on the 80" and the "Scottie Rippen". Inside seating is somewhat limited but it's cozy and there are seats at the bar as well. Outside seating is plentiful and awesome on a beautiful day. Plenty of covered areas as well for the not so pleasant days. Kids and pets are very welcome. There's a playground and grassy area. It's also spacious enough if you just want to be around other adults and not be bothered by all that type of hoopla. There is a rotating carousel of food trucks and live music. Best to check their website calendar to see who is there and when. Plenty of great trucks and wonderful bands from what I've seen thus far. Earlier that evening, we had stopped at the Filling Station for drinks and did not experience any issues. The bartenders were friendly and kindly helped us. When we returned after dinner, several of us were seated outside while a few coworkers went to the bar to order additional drinks. While we were waiting, an unknown male walked directly toward our group. He approached the only male coworker seated with us, placed both hands on his shoulders, leaned in, and said something into his ear. The man then walked away. After the man walked away from the table, we asked our coworker what he said, and he told us, "If you leave another empty glass on my table, I will kill you." My coworker appeared confused and stated that he did not know the individual. As the man walked away, another coworker and I stood up and asked what had happened. The man continued walking away without responding. At that point, two women who were nearby began arguing with members of our group. During the verbal exchange, one of the women pushed my coworker. Prior to this interaction, the same women had instructed my manager to move over on the bench as soon as space became available. Following the verbal and physical confrontation initiated by the other party, a bartender from the Filling Station directed our group to leave the premises. The other individuals involved in the confrontation were not asked to leave and remained at the venue. Our group complied and walked across the street. From that location, we observed several patrons and staff from the Filling Station pointing in our direction and laughing. A short time later, we observed one of the bartenders walk to the unknown male's parked vehicle, move the vehicle to a parking space adjacent to the Filling Station, hand the keys to the male, and the male then drove away. Law enforcement responded to the scene, and a police report was taken.
