The ambience is absolutely excellent--warm, stylish, and comfortable. The music is always a delightful mix of top oldies and greatest hits, which adds a great vibe to the evening. The food is exceptional--authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. And the wine selection? Simply amazing. Whether you're a casual wine lover or a connoisseur, there's something for everyone. I was traveling through Fairfield, and needed a place to grab a quick bite. This delightful Italian eatery right on Fairfield's refurbished "Main Street "was a great find! The wife and I had garlic pasta with chicken, and pasta Fiorentino with mushrooms and spinach. Both were absolutely delicious! The cream sauce was rich and complex and incredibly smooth. The mushrooms and spinach were perfectly cooked, and the pasta in garlic and butter really hit that garlic craving spot. The overall ambience was classy, but not fancy. The staff was really attentive, and wanted to make sure we had a great experience, which we did. Can't recommend this place enough! This is truly a gem, and not too far off the freeway, if you're also passing through. I don't head through Fairfield very often, but now I might make a point to stop in just for some great Italian. We first tried this place over a year or two ago. I enjoy they have 3 different style GLUTEN FREE pasta types. My SIL who is gluten free and vegetarian was very excited she was able to get something different and still enjoy her food. My husband especially loves the chimichurri sauces. We're sad to hear they will close one day but glad to say we have tried this place and enjoy many memories in a short amount of time. read more

My Son and I were craving italian food. I have been aware of this wonderful restaurant but have not visited and that was certainly my loss!! This place is great!! Cute atmosphere with friendly service. The owner was great to chat with and made sure we were taken care of. We were in the back area since I brought my dog and they were very accommodating. We began with the Caesar Salad. The lettuce was cold and the homemade dressing and croutons were simply excellent. We had the Chicken Parmeasan and the pasta Fiorentina and added chicken. Both were fantastic. Wonderful home made sauces and perfectly cooked pasta. The marinara sauce was so good next time I'll get some extra on the side!! I highly recommend this place. We don't usually have the opportunity to dine in Fairfield, but due to a variety of circumstances, I found myself looking for a place for an early Saturday dinner. Yelp steered me toward Three Italian with its 4.6 star rating, but unfortunately the food just fell short across the board for everyone in our party. First, the ambiance of this place is just strange. It has fast casual vibes but awkwardly trying to be something more upscale. The space itself looks like a pub converted with minimal effort into a restaurant. The bar area features prominently and other than a small section of regular height tables, everything else is a high top with very uncomfortable stools. The food was very below average, especially given the prices - unless of course, rent in Fairfield is significantly higher than I would expect. The calamari was okay, but tastes like frozen calamari that you can buy at Costco and heat in the air fryer. The bruschetta is "interesting". You get 4 pieces, all with different toppings, most of which I've never seen offered on bruschetta before at other Italian restaurants. The bread also wasn't toasted, so picking up the bruschetta is just inviting a mess. The pasta options: penne, linguine, fettuccine. That's it - not even regular spaghetti. The pasta was overcooked in all of the pasta dishes with the exception of the Frutti di Mare, which uses a squid ink pasta. That one was actually cooked perfectly al dente. Two of us ordered the meatballs in red sauce. What came out was an absolute disaster. You have a beautiful tomato sauce but can't be bothered to drain your pasta properly before plating it, leading to watery sauce. The meatballs were unpalatable. They were tough like rocks, almost like they were cooked, then frozen, then reheated again using something like a microwave. In addition, they just had an off taste. All of the pastas that had parmesan cheese had the Kraft finely shredded stuff rather than quality parmigiano reggiano that was fresh grated. Nobody offered to add any additional parm either. The calamari and mussels in the Frutti di Mare were the frozen bagged kind you can buy at Costco. All of us left with very full takeaway boxes because we felt bad leaving so much uneaten food. In the end, we got Italian food that was of poorer quality than Olive Garden, but for twice the cost. Really disappointing. On the plus side, the servers were pleasant and reasonably attentive but nothing could've saved this dinner with the food we were served. I am at a complete loss for words here and cannot explain the discrepancy between our experience and the many 5-star reviews. read more

Unfortunately, what we encountered was very disappointing and upsetting. We were seated promptly, but shortly after, two white men were seated nearby--after us. To our surprise and dismay, they were greeted, had their orders taken, before anyone even acknowledged us. We gave the waitress the benefit of doubt at first, But as we observed the continued attention and service given to others who arrived after us, it became clear we were being overlooked. It felt like we were invisible, so we got up and left the restaurant. This kind of experience leaves a lasting impression, and unfortunately, not a good one. Whether it was unconscious bias or something else, it made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Dining out should never feel that way. I haven't left a yelp review in years but this place earned it! My husband and I dined here last night while taking a long weekend in the area here from Austin. I wouldn't say I am picky but I definitely wouldn't give a five star rating to anyone. Walked in shocked and a little hesitant that this place wasn't packed at 6 on a Friday night. The owner himself greeted us and seated us. The waitress was a sweet young lady that promptly took our drink order. My husband and I both ordered a glass of wine which was very reasonably priced. He ordered the pink fettuccine with lobster and loved it! I had the best chicken Parmesan I have ever had. The breading didn't fall off when cut, the cheese to chicken to sauce ratio was perfect. You have the option of having it over salad or pasta. I chose pasta and that was fantastic as well. Definitely will go back when we visit the wineries again. read more

We just happened upon "Three Italian Restaurant" in downtown Fairfield. We have seen the sign but never ventured in. What a loss for us! This is an outstanding addition to a town that has few good non-chain eateries. The owner gave us a fun tour and then served us 2 wonderful entrées and a nice glass of wine. We heard there was an excellent local trattoria that we absolutely had to try. Three Restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Fairfield with plenty of nearby street parking. The restaurant has an Italian theme with inviting decor. There's a bar with several local craft beers on tap and a nice selection of wines. We started with the minestrone and a cup of clam chowder. They each came with a slice of garlic bread. Excellent taste! I had the NY steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli accompanied by a chimichurri sauce and a slice of garlic bread. Also excellent! My wife had the garlic shrimp pasta which had a good amount of shrimp. Very tasty. The owner, Francisco, greeted us and made all the customers feel welcome. My new favorite place to eat. This place has it all, clean and spacious, nice tables, nice decor, TVs, live bands and very yummy food. We came inside after the tomato festival and had amazing service. The wait staff were courteous and even the manager himself (Francisco) came over to greet us/welcome us in and thanked us for dinning there. Great experience and will definitely be back. read more

We heard about this place and decided to check it out. They have plenty of outdoor seating as well as inside. The atmosphere is cool! It felt comfortable and relaxing with laid back jazz music playing. When I first walked in I was there a few minutes before anyone came out. Hmmm... A guy came out. I let him know it was my first time here and asked about their internet prices vs. the printed menu pricing. They were different. He said the printed menu price was the most current. I suppose the website needs to be updated... Food or drink orders are placed before you sit at a table. They will bring the food out to you. ***Notice the sign at the register that says there is a 3% charge to use your credit or debit card. Bring some cash if you don't want to pay the fee. Thankfully I had some cash on hand which I don't normally carry. I ordered the garlic shrimp pasta. It did not disappoint. The shrimp was tender and the pasta was 'al dente'. The dish came with three pieces of perfectly toasted garlic bread. I enjoyed it a lot. When the 'happy hour' time came, a server I was able to find said I'd have to come back in to order/pay then they'd bring it out. That was a bummer! I didn't want to have to leave my half eaten food, go back inside and place a drink order, so I went without. For a first time visit this place was okay. I appreciate that their food was great. Tuesday, June 6 th - have a meeting at 6 pm downtown Fairfield, I decided to stop in here to, "Three Restaurant," for something lite. My neighbors had been telling me some good things about this place - I needed to check it out myself. Today Tuesday around 4:45 pm - walked in, I was greeted - sat at the bar instead of a table. I met, " Francisco," behind the bar, he introduced himself - he is actually the owner. Very nice - allowed me to try a couple different beers, which I decided on, Bike Dog, dog years, IPA - good beer. I asked him why, " Three," for the name of the restaurant? - when he goes out, this is what he looks for, and when he opened up this business, this is what he brought here to his own business. 1. Good food 2. Good drinks 3. Awesome ambience I do agree in all three ! Nice Italian restaurant- it looks Italian inside, the chairs are made out of Wine Barrels, is decorated Italian, Tuscany like, it has outdoor seating, rear seating, and music on certain days just outside of the restaurant in the atrium. Nice lite music playing, tv's on if needed I had a very simple meal, tuna melt with fries and cup clam chowder, all was delicious!! Three Restaurant we've been to and ordered sandwiches to-go from them during the pandemic days. Today we walked over while attending the 2day Summit at the County for lunch. We were greeted warmly by a nice older gentleman and seated at the front window booths because all of the seats were taken; handed menus but ordered at the front counter. Food was delivered to our tables which maybe why they charge a 4% restaurant fee. Food is ok. I ordered a cup of minestrone soup (7.95) w/ garlic toast, beet salad (13.95), and Perrier water (4.25), it was a $30 (+tip) dollar lunch which is fine but the food was just ok. Boss ordered a falafel (13+) wrap and was charged extra for fries (4.50) - she said it was ok, I had a sample of her falafel which was pretty tasty and seasoned well! Our lunch companions ordered a clam chowder (which my coworker said tasted like it came from a can, lacked seasonings), she didn't finish it. The others BLT, chicken sandwich, and fish&chips w/ garlic fries was yummy they stated. They enjoyed their meals; complimented the crispy thin fries that were well seasoned. So Restaurant Three it's not bad, but expect to spend over 20 bucks for lunch but again for somewhat just ok food. Not to say it's bad here, just ok. The place is a bit dated as well. This was some of the best Pasta I've had in a longtime! I ordered the Pasta Alla Limon and it was excellent! I added chicken to the dish and let me tell you, that food was so good! The pasta(linguine) was cooked perfectly and the garlic butter sauce made me wanna lick the plate! I also loved the garlic bread! I really don't know how to feel about this place. I've been twice now and I think the best way to describe the entire experience is "dated." That doesn't mean the food is bad. I'll get to that in a minute. But the whole experience seems to be stuck in 2008. Because the food is the most important part of any dining experience, I'll start there. I had the chicken tender the first time that I visited and the cheesesteak the second time. I got the chicken tenders the first time because that's what I was in the mood for when I left work for lunch that day and I got the cheese steak the second time because I asked the cashier (presumably the owner) what his favorite item was. The chicken tenders seemed like they were made fresh in-house while the fries were of the frozen assortment. No complaints. Easy lay-up. 8/10 The cheese steak wasn't bad. I believe the steak is frozen and pre-sliced albeit, properly seasoned and adequately cooked. My only complaint is the pickled jalapeños. Personally, I don't think they're needed. The bun was crispy and fresh. 7/10 My opinion on the food is that while it meets the mark, these options are very dated. The same thing goes for the rest of the menu which is why it was hard for me to choose what to eat. Reminds me of what you would find at an Applebees or Fentons. Nothing unique, nothing inspiring, nothing local. In a downtown area that is lined with restaurants this place doesn't really standout. However, when it does standout, it's not in a good way. So, here is my list of complaints: *The decor is dated, clunky and out of place. *They limit customers to 1 free refill (large sign in soda machine). *They restrict certain seating to groups of five or more. *Music is too loud. *No host in the front and the counter where you order is hidden from your view when you walk in. *The place has no identity. It tries to be too many different things: Italian, bbq, biker bar... Overall, it's nothing to write home about and I don't think I would recommend it. I might go back for a third time but it's low on the list. I've been to most of the other establishments in downtown 5,6,7 times and continue to pick those over this for the reasons that I've outlined. The owner seems like a nice enough guy and I believe he's smart enough to make the needed changes if he wants to bring in a younger crowd. Cheers! read more

What a great little spot to have found on our way back home. We were looking for a light salad place and came across this restaurant here on yelp. Easy to find and plenty of parking in the back, however there is parking on the street out front. Super cute place, outside seating in the front and a covered patio in the back. For the sports fan, they had the game on with a full bar and plenty of seating inside. Once we are able to sit inside again, this will be a fun place to have a great meal and spend time with friends. We both ordered salads, and could have chosen anything from a burger, to cheesesteak sandwiches, there are so many good choices on the menu.
