A good place to eat late nite, since there aren't that many places open during the weekday. Came in and was greeted and sat down. Server was quick and friendly. Place wasn't full at 8.45pm. The TVs were on sports, a bit small but ok - not the spot for UFC or anything. We ordered a Coke and lemonade, wings and Steak and Cheese sandwich. The latter came as a wrap, it was good, if not also a bit bland. I did like the grilled onions and mushrooms. I was hungry. The fries were thick and yummy. Everything was super fresh and hot off the grill. The bathroom was big, not super clean but not super dirty either. The place was decorated with sports memorabilia and newspaper and photos. There seemed to be a huge upstairs. I remember when this place used to be a crepes place, they did a good job changing it up. Parking is spacious and free. This is a "junior" location, with the same great taste as the original Three Dollar. Best wings in town. I get mine extra crispy. The sauce is really just 1 flavor and mild, medium, hot really just means how-much-sauce-do-you-want? So, hot really isn't too bad, if you like spicy foods. The blue cheese here is also amazing! I've also had the French dip sandwich which was actually one of the best I've had! There are two levels at the location. I've only sat on the first floor which is pretty small, about 10 tables. Two stars because it was open, when many other restaurants were not. A few decades ago this was a place we liked. Now, not so much. The food just seemed junky. Potato skins were smothered in so much cheese that the potato was hard to find the potato. The chicken stripes not so great either. Lesson learned... Stick to wings (maybe). But why only sell them in 10, 20 or 30. I just wanted to get 6. Not possible. My kids wanted to know why is was called three dollar cafe when most items were around $10+. Came in for the first time and sat down. Not a lot of people when I can't but then I saw a sign that said Cigar and liquor lounge. I went to peek in and it was better than expected. I consider myself relatively reasonable when it comes to service. That being said there are a couple of things I despise. Today this Three Dollar Cafe has hit a couple of them. 1. Nickel and dime condiment fees. 2. Discretionary food waste. This location's 'Management' believes it better to give a refund and dispose of food, rather than provide free condiments for a misunderstanding. I haven't been to the Three Dollar Cafe for a long time. We used to go to the location in the other side of I-75 in Windy Hill Rd. The wing sauce still tastes the same. Great sauce. My only complaint is the chicken tenders is a somewhat small portion for $10. Only 4 tenders per order. The steak fries should have been cooked a little longer too. read more

Tried this for the first time today for dinner. Very pleasant atmosphere, laid back. We were greeted immediately and sat ourselves as the young lady working there informed us we could. Our waitress greeted us within minutes. We didnt order any appetizers and went straight to our full meals. We ordered wings..the egg burger and the buffalo bleu chicken sandwich. Both sandwiches come with steak frie, wings.dont so my son ordered some extra. Wings were average size n the sandwiches were yummy. Our food came out hot and within a very good time. Looks like a good place to be a regular. Additionally although we did not see the rest of the place ...they do have an upstairs along with a hallway to the left that appears to lead you to a bar and cigar lounge. Ask for a well done hamburger without a toasted bun. 40 minutes later I get a medium pink burger with a hard ass bun! This place fails to get the order right EVERY time!! It's not the server. I have been coming here for years. Tuesday is always the burger lunch special. I ordered, ate (great as always) then got the bill and it was $2 more. This was my first time visiting this location and I was pretty impressed! When I walked in a hostess politely greeted me. The place is clean and has an upstairs area. I ordered the fish tacos. The order came out in less than 7 minutes! The tacos were nice and hot tasting very fresh. Definitely recommend this place if you're near Suntrust Park. read more

Omg! Where do I start! My server Trisden was AMAZING! she offered me the best drink on the menu, so strong and so so delicious! Then I ordered the strips and fries , when I say so so good. I never had chicken strips like that before ever! I got them mild with lemon pepper. And I hate hot spicy foods but the mild sauce was so tangy with a little kick . Not too much to blow your ears off. Even though it was a starter it filled me up so I was okay . Man I will DEFINITELY be coming back here for some more tasty foods. read more

Overall pretty average. I had no idea that this place was even here. My husband worked at a Three Dollar Cafe back in during his youth and has always told me about their nachos. I love nachos as much as the next person so he finally convinced me to check out Three Dollar. We went to this location as we were meeting some friends and this one happened to be convenient for them. The actual building and restaurant is aesthetically underwhelming. It's in a strip mall and the space is surprisingly small. There is the main dining area downstairs and there is also an upstairs area that was closed when we went. Anyway, its a really laid back, seat yourself kind of place. I was surprised that there was hardly anyone there since there was an NFL playoff game going on. The TVs aren't that great - no HD here - so if you want to go somewhere to watch sports this shouldn't be your first pick. Back to the food - we got the nachos with chicken and they were really good. The only thing they were missing were black beans and guac - then they would have been the perfect nachos in my book. I ordered the house salad as my entree...it was inexpensive and large enough to be filling but not as large as a dinner salad. Between the nachos and the salad it was more than enough food. For the food we got the TDC Burger with fries, TDC Burger with homemade chips, mild and medium wings. Both of the burger were cooked to perfection they come with lettuce,tomato,onion, and a pickle spear. The homemade chips were crispy and the fries were delicious. The medium wings were very spicy but delicious, the mild ones were more my style they were very crispy. This is the wife writing a review on the $3 Café as my husband has requested. We were downtown picking up our new mattress and our tummies were growling so we looked for a place to eat and saw the $3 Café. We walked in and smelt the yummy fried food right away. Everyone around us was eating wings as that is their specialty, but we tried the chicken pesto sandwich and the turkey burger. We cut them and shared halves. I must say, the husband made a great choice, the turkey burger was excellent! Overall, we enjoyed our experience. This place could be so good but the management seem clueless and they can't keep good wait staff. Food is good but the environment could be better; they will show reruns of bowling and softball when playoff games are on while blasting top 40 music at full volume. They really need someone to look at the prime time games every day and feature them on their TVs It's proven when people are watching games, they spend more money, drink more, stay longer and in turn have a good time. I haven't eaten at a A $3 Dollar Cafe in years. This place, at one time, was my favorite for wings. So, I thought I would try to reconnect since they were conveniently located at Windy Hill and Powers Ferry Road. Last Wednesday, I was out and about doing some after Christmas shopping when I suddenly had a craving for wings. I went in, immediately spotted the To-go counter, studied the menu and came up with small order of lemin pepper wings, fries and fried mushrooms. Don't judge me. I was not yet started my New Years resolution of losing weight and getting in shape. Chris took my order and was very polite. I always sample my carry-out food as soon as I can, like in the car. However, I couldn't this time because it was freshly made and too hot to try. As soon as I walked through the door, in all my starvation, I tried the lemon pepper wings. No taste on the wings. Same for the mushrooms. No seasoning at all. Very disappointed. Two stars--one for being open when other restaurants were closed and the other for Chris the server. It's a BIG NO for me‍ I literally just walked out of here. I felt so over looked and I welcomed. When I walked in the 20 minutes ago no one greeted or acknowledged me. I asked the cook which way was the restroom to wash my hands and in passing seen a waiter and asked could I seat myself as I may. He directed be to the smoking area. There was a bartender and about four waitresses I saw. Three where on the phone, outside & having conversation outside the door a few steps away from me (I sat by the door) and the waiter that the bartender told I was seating have a half smirk and quickly over looked me. I sat uncomfortable, no water, greeting, acknowledgement of any kind so after about a collective 20 minutes I left. I suggest going here & sitting at the bar (I didn't because I was alone and I don't drink or smoke) because that's who they cater to or in a group. This place is actually called Three Dollar Cafe Jr. I've never been to Three Dollar Cafe so I can't compare the two. The cafe was very busy midday and we opted to sit in the booths upstairs, which were quieter than the tables and booths downstairs. Upstairs, they have three smaller flat screens in addition to a 1 large flat screen. I thought that the smaller flat screens were placed in areas that made you look directly at the other customers who were eating, which can be awkward. The food was regular American food to me-- burgers, wings ( which seems to be their highlight here). I had crispy fish tacos which were enough for me to eat without a appetizer. They definitely give you enough food on the plate. The manager did come around and ask if were doing OK. Also, the server was quite attentive. I thought Three Dollar Cafe Jr was a nice place for a quick sit down lunch or watching a football game. Next time I visit, I will try the wings :) read more

All that I remember. Just moved back to the area after 25 years away in the Air Force. I know there was a time the brand of Three Dollar Cafe slid a bit downhill, but those days are gone. They are back. The wings are hot, flavorful and crisp. The service is spot on. This is the place to come for wings, cold affordable beer and fantastic service. I recommend asking for Chris and sit his section. Customer service and attentiveness is a high standard here, and Chris exceeds it. My wife and I had 30 wings, fries and 4 big beers; the check was just over $50. The wings were perfect and we never wanted for anything (again, ask for Chris) Three Dollar Cafe has rediscovered their roots. Good food, cold beer, great service. Highly recommended. read more

Wow, can't believe so many people took a squat and had a big dump on this place. Well the name is misleading for starters. There's no $3 about it. That's how they lured me in. Shame on me. Yes yelp....shame on me. Well anyways, it used to be a different spot and I heard this place was the bomb. It wasn't the bomb, maybe not even a firecracker. But the food is good though. I had the chicken wrap with steak fries. They are kind of stingy on the steak fries but they are huge. Pretty good though. The grilled chicken wrap laced with lettuce, tomato and some sort of dressing. I wolfed that down no problem. Inside the decor is happy hour friendly. Go there to watch an ESPN game, stay away from the scene. The staff is pretty good, efficient. Didn't have any troubles with delay on my food. I do like the menu though. Loaded from chicken fingers, potato skins, chipolte cheese dip. There entrees around dinner time average $13-$15 a plate with items from spahghetty , lime chicken to alfredo whether shrimp or chicken. Of course they have sammiches and plenty of choices of sammiches from grouper, the cuban and reuben (definitely going to do a review on this alone and this can either bump them up/down a star off reuben) . Everyone knows the Marietta Diner has set the bar on Reuben sandwiches in this town. Food Network need to get at me so I can get my own show strictly on reuben sammiches. Also they they have burgers from swiss and mushroom, turkey and other creative style burgers. With fuddruckers right around the corner, they are going to have to hold their own. They are going to have competition in the wings department with legendary establishments settled all around them. They talking big smack saying Voted best wings in town since 1983.
