The food is delicious and well priced! I'm always happy to see Emma or Judd behind the bar. They are great and watching them interact with their regulars is awesome. Strong drinks, great food, and relaxed vibes.

Sixteen dollars for a tuna melt?????? It was good but it's a neighborhood pub that shouldn't be charging so much

Maddie's is located on a side street off the main drag of old town Marblehead. The restaurant is located upstairs and the bar is located downstairs. We began our meal with the fried calamari. Cook fresh and served hot. The marinara was ok. Our entrees were the Pasta Fra Diavolo and the baked haddock. The pasta came out with a tasty sauce and a generous amount of seafood. My wife enjoyed her haddock which was something she doesn't usually order. The portion was generous and the veggies on the side were fresh and not canned. The service was very good and friendly. The prices were very reasonable considering the area. There is street parking on the main street but not the street it is located on.

Use the outside stairs to joueny up stairs. They don't take reservations and on a Thursday night it was full so plan accordingly. They have a full offering of drinks and I went draft beer, Alagash, a wheat beer from Maine. A good choice to go with a heavy meal. At the recommendation of our local host, I went for the Pan Seared Haddock. This comes with lobster meat in a white sauce served over potatoes and cooked spinach. So tasty, the seafood was tender and delicious, the sauce not overwhelming the flavors. Our server, Casey, was top notch and gave the right amount of earnest attention. When he wished us a good evening, I think he truly meant it. Husband had the seafood platter mixed and I tried one of the shrimp which was excellent. Great spot, though it is dimly lit and noisy(just know before you go type thing). Didn't hamper our enjoyment of a fun evening at all!

The restaurant is deceptively large with a pleasant atmosphere. Service was prompt even on a busy Saturday evening and our server was enthusiastic about the food. I had the goat burger, which was absolutely loaded with goat cheese. I appreciate that they are generous, so be forewarned it is a delicious and messy situation. I also tried the Brussels sprouts, which were terrific. I snuck bites of my husbands truffle fries, which were also super good. My husband ate every bite of his sea salt burger, which he reported was very good between bites. Also worth noting that the burger patties were gigantic. We finished up dinner with an Irish coffee. Yum! Overall, this is a really good choice for dinner. I'd definitely recommend stopping by here for a meal if you're in the area.

The ahi tuna poke was incredible, one of those dishes you could eat every day and never get tired of. I also tried the black bean burger and was blown away. I don't usually go for veggie burgers, but this one was fantastic -- flavorful, satisfying, and made me forget I wasn't eating meat. The service was excellent, too. Everyone was welcoming, attentive without being over the top, and just genuinely nice to interact with. It's rare to find a spot where both the food and the people hit the mark like this. Highly recommend Sea Salt for anyone who wants a great meal in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

The burger is THAT good…read more Came here on a Saturday in October. Party of 2 during lunch time and we got seated in 15 minutes. Had to try the burger cause I heard about it online. Oh. My. God. The burger really is that good. Hands down the best burger I've ever tasted. It was juicy but not pink or red. The jam was the perfect amount- enough so i could taste it but it did not overwhelm the burger (coming from a hard core jam lover). Despite the juiciness from the burger, the bun was not soggy. Fries were pretty good. Cole slaw was nothing to write home about. We tried going back for a SECOND BURGER on a Monday but their hours are different so we couldn't. So good I didn't even get a picture. If anyone was to ask me a restaurant to recommend in Salem, this would be it.

We had the nachos (do yourself a favor and buy only a half order because it's HUGE). They were so good and I didn't even have enough room for more food after that. Service was attentive and good! I got the "Summer Fling" cocktail and it was truly one of the best cocktails I've had in quite sometime. I had a couple of them and honestly, could have continued throwing them down if I knew I didn't need to be in decent shape the next day. The live music was fantastic too. All-in-all, still a cozy and great vibe here. I hope to go there again soon!

We ordered tuna tataki, mai's mango scallops, oysters, pork belly buns, octopus (special), and Banana Fritters A La Mode and pineapple & orange ice cream. I highly recommend the octopus, banana fritters, and oysters. The octopus was cooked well, and had great flavors. Oysters were fresh and big. If you like thai mango sticky rice, you'll like the banana fritters: it's so tasty. The other dishes were also good; I also really enjoyed the side salad. I'm usually not an ice cream person, but the ice cream was an interesting flavor combination and not too sweet. For drinks, we got the expresso martini and sneaky lychee. My expresso martini was good, however the sneaky lychee was a little too sour for my taste. Our waiter Henry was great. He checked on us often, gave great recommendations and just very personable. Other staff, including Alyssa the hostess, came to check in on us and made us feel welcomed. The space is beautiful itself. There's a lot for parking and it's located on the second floor.
