The OG. Lives up to it's name.

This review is only based on the açaí bowls. They are superb. The best i've tried on the East coast at least. Why? There's a heat wave going on and you don't want to eat anything except cold light meals/snacks. Ordered the basic aka "The OG" and it delivered. The açaí has good texture and consistency. There's a thick layer of extra-crunchy granola which adds to the amazinggggness of the bowl. There's a generous heaping of ripe blueberries, strawberries and bananas. On top of this they add chia seeds and coconut flakes. It was so good my family ordered this one to two times a day for the 2-3 days we spent in Bethany Beach. Doesn't beat Southern California's açaí bowls but it's pretty close.

Such a fan of this place! They had a few vegan options, which I really appreciated! The vegan milkshake is DELICIOUS and I would highly recommend it, even to non-vegans. And I was pleasantly surprised to se a vegan dessert option so I tried that as well and really enjoyed it. I discovered this place a few months ago while in the staying area for work. When I was in the area (April/May), Covid had just about everything closed. This was one of the few places that was open several days a week and I'm happy it was! If I'm ever back in the area for work or vacation, I will definitely be stopping by again!

I had the toast special of the day- a street corn/ avocado toast. It was excellent. I also enjoyed a cup of a blonde roast coffee. My daughter had a Grass Is Greener smoothie and really like it.

Ok so this is a review for the coffee shop attached to the bakery but I believe they are owned by the same business. The shop is little with outdoor table and chairs but no indoor seating. They have baked goods, coffee, and drinks! The servers were nice and helpful with recommending drinks. Parking was easy and finding the place wasn't hard either. I got an iced caramel latte with almond milk (mild caramel flavor), iced foam coffee with oat milk(really good), blueberry muffin (good).

Really nice desert shop. They had yummy dairy-free ice cream!! I had the rasberry-crusted and salted caramel dairy-free flavors. Both were AMAZING! Love the little tables outside of their shop to sit and eat your treats. Had a nice experience there. Highly recommend.

Yummy açaí bowls! I tried the dragon bowl here for the first time and I really enjoyed it.

Chocolate nonpareil, M&M, Reese's Pieces, & Cookies & Cream (about 1lb)

This is a good little shop that will be sure to satisfy your sweet tooth! I ordered about one pound of fudge that cost around $15. (You have to order at least a 1/4 lb of a flavor.) I went with M&Ms (the best), Reese's Pieces (2nd best), Chocolate nonpareil (good but nothing to write home about), and cookies and cream (too sickeningly sweet/rich and underwhelming). All of the fudge was fresh and evidently made with quality ingredients. There were a ton of fun flavors. The guy behind the counter was helpful and friendly. I'd recommend!

“The ice cream is Vanderwende's, so I give that about an 8/10 overall.”

Candy Kitchen is more of a 'Candy Pantry'. I don't think anything is made in house (at least not by…read moretaste), though it is fully stocked up on all sorts of gummies, fudge, taffy, and stuffed animals of various types. It's a fantastic place to practice telling your toddler 'no.' I can't begin to tell you how many reps we got in, while still absolutely spoiling him. On the 'wanting to be here' spectrum, kids definitely occupy the top tier. From the 3 ft high perspective, it is thrilling. So many toys and so much candy and chocolate stacked and sorted wall to wall. Next, after skipping a tier or two, are the parents. We unfortunately can read prices and, if we wanted to, nutrition information. Both of those sort of spoil the fun. Dead last, another tier down, are the teenaged staff (with a few exceptions though). I get it though. I also would much rather joke with my friends and flirt/sulk, rather than listen to a dad tell his kid 'no' approximately 800 times in 5 minutes.

The young woman who was working there was super helpful in aiding us in finding a gift for our daughter, among all the choices that this store has to offer. We told her the type of candy we were looking for, and she directed us to where in the store we could find it. She was so welcoming and helpful, that it was a revelation that there still exist employees of such commendable character who take their job seriously and don't act as if you're imposing on them when asking questions about what's on offer. Candy Kitchen is lucky to have employed this young woman as a representative of what a hard worker who takes their job seriously can be. She should be recognized for her commitment to excellence in service, and establishing and cementing customer loyalty in us!
