King Kone is a staple of my family's ocean city visits. Always good service and great flavors. I go nearly every night while visiting!

Close to the beach, lots of choices. You can go wrong with ice cream and ices. Soft serve is good. They also have hard ice cream with all the typical choices read more

REALLY REALLY REALLY good Hershey's ice cream. Nice variety and really sweet staff. Great spot to grab some dessert! read more

Prompt, kind service from the staff. Interesting combinations for Sundae's. I got Grasshopper sundae. We sat outside at benches and a table. The sidewalk there was in need of a good pressure washing. Haha! But that's to be expected outside a ice cream shop. Definitely would go back. read more

$8.50 for a milkshake, $6.50 for a account... Ridiculous Rick the owner has lost his mind and has gone full greed. I am officially not going to patronize the King Kone stores anymore. And on top of that, they are now asking for a tip. read more

the best Ice cream in Ocean City!! staff and owner are incredible aswell! Will definitely be back.

As with everything else, this place has become ridiculously over priced. We ordered one large vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles and it cost $8.10 then they had the audacity to ask for tip. They also rang me up for three scoops of ice cream. Not a soft serve. Which I didn't realize until later. Lesson learned though. While the ice cream was good, in todays age of hyper inflation, I'll just buy a half gallon of ice cream at the grocery store for half the price. It's a shame that supporting small businesses just isn't possible today. Sorry, but we won't be back. read more

We went here for dessert after having a delicious crab feast. The sundae was perfect, just the right amount of sweetness. The crew was okay. My whole family got desserts they probably got surprised lol. read more

We stopped by for a late night ice cream treat before heading back into the hotel. There were two young employees who were very friendly. I ordered a small road runner raspberry (vanilla ice cream with raspberry swirls and mini chocolate cups), and my boyfriend ordered a medium classic strawberry. The portions were reasonable and their prices were average compared to the rest of the area. The only reason why I give this place 4 stars rather than 5 is because they only had about 10-12 flavors of ice cream, and I was hoping for a bigger selection for an ice cream place. read more

Love King Kone! I've been coming here consistently since 2018, and never get tired of it. The space is super cute and charming in a mom & pop way, and the staff is very friendly. But most importantly, the milk shakes here are delicious! Highly recommend trying the Banana Split or Butter Finger shakes, but you can't really make a wrong decision when it comes to King Kone. Will be back! read more

Delicious custard, great portions, and friendly staff. My fiance loved the P.B. Krunch

Fun ice cream shop! There is a giant gorilla outside! I ordered a soft serve vanilla sundae with hot fudge, pineapple, whip cream, and a cherry on top. It was great! The perfect treat to a end a mini vacation! read more

Great selections of ice cream, soft serve, floats, ice cream sundaes, and toppings. Staff were amazing and incredibly accommodating to our toddler giving him a mini toddler sized sundae. My wife wanted an orange creamsicle float but they were out of orange soda. Perhaps he was the owner immediately jumped in told my wife they could make it old school with seltzer and orange flavoring. Even made sure she liked it before we walked and offered to make her some thing else if she didn't. Should we ever come back to OC, definitely will be coming back here for ice cream. read more

Very yummy soft serve. Nearly custard quality and dense (like, but not quite as good as Milwaukee's Frozen custard). If you also don't like Dumsers and Khor Bros because it's not creamy and dense enough, you'll love KK. Not a pretentious place, but full of all kinds of combinations, including a massive banana split dish that gets your name in the wall. It's worth the drive. read more

Ordered a waffle cone with scoops of cookies and cream, cookie dough, and strawberry. It wasn't even hot out and my ice cream melted faster than I could eat it. read more

Who doesn't like ice cream? King Kone is not like a TCBY or Baskin Robins with a thousand different flavors, but they've got the staples - chocolate, mint chip, cookie dough, etc. They've been expanding it seems but I've been coming to northern location all my life. The giant gorilla outside the door is a photo opp attraction. The northern location is small and often times has a line out the door. Besides being small, they have made little to no updates to the place - it could use some love. But it's one of my favorite places for a milkshake. By the way, the colored stickers on the menu mean absolutely nothing. Enjoy! read more

There was a long line but it was quick to get the food. I got a large cup of blue raspberry snow cone it took me 20 minutes to finish it and it was great I would definitely recommend this. read more

THIS is what I'm talking about! This was so much better than the "other place" we tried yesterday. OMG. I got the Temptation Island. Instead of butterscotch they had their signature sweet caramel sauce. And of course. wet nuts. I love wet nuts! ;-) Best ice cream at the beach. And a cutie serving it up! Oh! The 5th star is saved due to no outdoor seating. Small stuff I know...but is the difference for me between "I'm a fan" and "Doesn't get any better". read more

I know it was busy, but I didn't get my ice cream. After waiting in a long line I told the girl I was getting two ice creams, one for me and one for my dog out front. I ordered the kiddy vanilla with peanut butter sauce, then she ran back up front and started helping someone else. I tried to get her attention but she all over the place. I know it's busy and they are doing their best to help customers quickly but it left me sad and disappointed after trying a new place. I didn't get to try what I wanted but the vanilla with peanut butter sauce was fine but nothing I can't get anywhere else. read more

We stopped at the location on 70th street. King Kone is a good, standard, ice cream place that serves Hershey's ice cream. I would have been a little more impressed if the ice cream was made on site. I remember thinking the toppings were over-priced (I want to say 50 cents for each topping added?). It was good, but didn't "wow" me. read more

We've been to OC a ton of times but never stopped here. So glad we decided to try King Kone during this trip. The employees are really friendly and the ice cream is yummy. Hershey's ice cream! Can't beat that for hard ice team. It was close to our beach house and we enjoyed it a couple times.

The North OC landmark , home of the gorilla split. So amazing, love the crazy Boston shake, New Jersey Shake and King crunch! The workers are kind and thoughtful, we enjoy every trip! It's Hershey's ice cream with a fun twist of delicious creations to include a Chesapeake sundae with homemade caramel, Old Bay and nuts. The soft serve is the best on the beach as its thick and delicious, such good quality! They will create any special sundae per your request. The owners Rick and Shelly often wait on you with a smile! They also serve a variety of snow cones which is a Maryland corner stand favorite. Egg Custard or rainbow is the way to go and get some soft serve on the bottom, if you can. read more

Always a favorite, they just introduced a spicy chocolate sauce this year that has a nice kick to it I don't always eat dairy, but when I do, I prefer King Kone read more

Hershey's ice cream so if you into that cool but service sucked and was mad messy and didn't follow corona practices.

King Kone is an example of a business that's doing everything right in the age of Covid19. My daughters and I were in Ocean City for ten days and ended up at King Kone no less than four times while we were there. They have an employee dedicated to opening and closing the door, both to limit the exposure between customers touching the door handle and also to closely monitor the number of customers inside. Once you're inside they get you in and out quickly, but manage to be very friendly at the same time. And, most importantly, they send you off with ice cream cones, shakes and sundaes that are awesome every time. read more

Fantastic ice cream, speedy service. Great custom flavor. Only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that I asked for "A" shake and the guy made 2 identical shakes, then charged me for 2. I didn't feel like creating a scene, so I accepted it and paid my bill. In the future, I will be sure to say "ONE" shake instead of "A" shake. read more

So my hubby & 3 little kids first went Justine's Ice Cream Parlour, which was closed on a Saturday afternoon! Crazy! Who does that?! Found King Kone on yelp & was NOT disappointed. We got a chance to chat with the owner as well who was very nice. And me, being a baker, had to buy the homemade caramel sauce :) We like supporting local businesses if they have good products. This one def does! For the record, we got a chocolate shake, cotton candy ice cream, butter pecan, & Karmel Krunch. All great! Btw, we've also tasted fresh homemade ice cream at our local dairy farm & those who think DQ is better than King Kone clearly don't have any clue regarding ice cream. read more

Went there to do the banana split challenge but were turned away because we arrived at 7 and not before 6 as they apparently request? Unfortunately they lost about 16 customers since our whole family went to watch and all planned to purchase icecream! We go here all of the time. Get dog ice cream for 4 labs and multiple ice cream for adults. We are never going back. They were rude and disrespectful. Just wanted to ask a few questions. I guess it was to much to ask. Two employees behind a plastic shield were present. A taller blonde and a shorter tan female. The blonde haired lady was nice trying to answer questions the tan female was rude and impatient. Needless to say you lost our business. Walked out. I'm not sure some of these young people understand these businesses are important. When you mistreat one customer, it can turn into loss of business for many others. Especially because we will pass on how bad the customer service is. I hope your hiring practices improve, because one bad apple can spoil the bunch. This place is absolutely awesome...We will definitely be re-visiting while we are in oc. Might I recommend the Carmel pecan delight! Oh my goodness I know I will pay later but then again I am on vacation and who cares we're here to have fun. The staff we're very professional and very helpful. There is a lot to choose from the menu and the price is reasonable. If you are in oc I would highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed. We drove 7 miles.... read more

Only ordered ice cream cones: one hard coconut chocolate almond and a soft serve twist. My husband threw it away in the trash can outside the door. It was not good. WITH THAT BEING SAID, we come from a place that has a lot of little ma n pa homemade ice cream joints and they are great, so that is our comparison of course. I'd like to try some other places while here but not sure I have enough time. We agreed that even Dairy Queen is better than King Kone. read more
