As with everything else, this place has become ridiculously over priced. We ordered one large vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles and it cost $8.10 then they had the audacity to ask for tip. They also rang me up for three scoops of ice cream. Not a soft serve. Which I didn't realize until later. Lesson learned though. While the ice cream was good, in todays age of hyper inflation, I'll just buy a half gallon of ice cream at the grocery store for half the price. It's a shame that supporting small businesses just isn't possible today. Sorry, but we won't be back. read more

We stopped by for a late night ice cream treat before heading back into the hotel. There were two young employees who were very friendly. I ordered a small road runner raspberry (vanilla ice cream with raspberry swirls and mini chocolate cups), and my boyfriend ordered a medium classic strawberry. The portions were reasonable and their prices were average compared to the rest of the area. The only reason why I give this place 4 stars rather than 5 is because they only had about 10-12 flavors of ice cream, and I was hoping for a bigger selection for an ice cream place. read more

Love King Kone! I've been coming here consistently since 2018, and never get tired of it. The space is super cute and charming in a mom & pop way, and the staff is very friendly. But most importantly, the milk shakes here are delicious! Highly recommend trying the Banana Split or Butter Finger shakes, but you can't really make a wrong decision when it comes to King Kone. Great selections of ice cream, soft serve, floats, ice cream sundaes, and toppings. Staff were amazing and incredibly accommodating to our toddler giving him a mini toddler sized sundae. My wife wanted an orange creamsicle float but they were out of orange soda. Perhaps he was the owner immediately jumped in told my wife they could make it old school with seltzer and orange flavoring. Very yummy soft serve. Nearly custard quality and dense (like, but not quite as good as Milwaukee's Frozen custard). If you also don't like Dumsers and Khor Bros because it's not creamy and dense enough, you'll love KK. King Kone is not like a TCBY or Baskin Robins with a thousand different flavors, but they've got the staples - chocolate, mint chip, cookie dough, etc. They've been expanding it seems but I've been coming to northern location all my life. The giant gorilla outside the door is a photo opp attraction. The northern location is small and often times has a line out the door. Besides being small, they have made little to no updates to the place - it could use some love. But it's one of my favorite places for a milkshake. I know it was busy, but I didn't get my ice cream. After waiting in a long line I told the girl I was getting two ice creams, one for me and one for my dog out front. I ordered the kiddy vanilla with peanut butter sauce, then she ran back up front and started helping someone else. I tried to get her attention but she all over the place. I know it's busy and they are doing their best to help customers quickly but it left me sad and disappointed after trying a new place. I didn't get to try what I wanted but the vanilla with peanut butter sauce was fine but nothing I can't get anywhere else. read more

It's Hershey's ice cream with a fun twist of delicious creations to include a Chesapeake sundae with homemade caramel, Old Bay and nuts. The soft serve is the best on the beach as its thick and delicious, such good quality! They will create any special sundae per your request. The owners Rick and Shelly often wait on you with a smile! They also serve a variety of snow cones which is a Maryland corner stand favorite. Egg Custard or rainbow is the way to go and get some soft serve on the bottom, if you can. read more

King Kone is an example of a business that's doing everything right in the age of Covid19. My daughters and I were in Ocean City for ten days and ended up at King Kone no less than four times while we were there. They have an employee dedicated to opening and closing the door, both to limit the exposure between customers touching the door handle and also to closely monitor the number of customers inside. Once you're inside they get you in and out quickly, but manage to be very friendly at the same time. And, most importantly, they send you off with ice cream cones, shakes and sundaes that are awesome every time. read more

So my hubby & 3 little kids first went Justine's Ice Cream Parlour, which was closed on a Saturday afternoon! Crazy! Who does that?! Found King Kone on yelp & was NOT disappointed. We got a chance to chat with the owner as well who was very nice. And me, being a baker, had to buy the homemade caramel sauce :) We like supporting local businesses if they have good products. The blonde haired lady was nice trying to answer questions the tan female was rude and impatient. Needless to say you lost our business. Walked out. We come here quite a lot and the place is very pleasing. The ice cream is just from Hershey, but still great. The best server here is named Jimmy and he gives you the best amount of ice cream and toppings unlike some of the workers who limit the toppings you pay a lot for.
