Great restaurant with excellent service despite being hammered with a GINORMOUS bus of Asian tourists filling eight of the tables in the room we were seated in. I had a buffalo burger. My wife had a veggie burger. Both were tasty. The salad bar was awesome, although I would have like a larger plate to not have lettuce spilling off the sides. They had a delicious huckleberry dressing and a variety of toppings. I didn't like my fries. They had that weird coating that makes the outside crispy but not flavorful. Some people love these, but I don't. I would come back here again when driving though, no question. read more

I had spaghetti and meatballs. Both were delicious. My husband chose a Shepherd's Pie which also was good. We had a bit of a wait for dinner, but enjoyed a drink at the bar while we waited. Our server did try and was nice, but something must have been going on in the kitchen. They also got upset with us for moving the table too close too the booth so we could be closer to our family. Breakfast is included in our stay at 3 Bear Lodge. And this restaurant makes very good breakfast burritos. Service is great. We came back for dinner on another night and the place was so smoky. I asked the server why is it so smoky and her reply was that management knows about it and it's been like that for days. What???? Then do something about it for goodness sake. There must be some code violation or something. That ruined what could've been a great dining experience. Food was good. Hubby ordered the big game meatloaf, it was very flavorful and moist. Very disappointed in this restaurant. We went there specifically for a filet, which was on the website. When we got there it wasn't on the menu and our server said they discontinued them. We then ordered the prime rib and it was not very good at all. Back to the Buffalo Bar. read more

If I was writing this review based on service alone, it'd be a 1 star review. I'm a server too. I get it. Servers can get weeded but that I could see, our server only had 4 other active tables total. He looked right at me, when I had my water glass up, asking for a refill, then he turned around and walked away. Maybe because of the pandemic they aren't allowed to give refills? I was half way done with my breakfast, and needed more water, but Eugene couldn't even acknowledge that I existed? He never asked how our meal was either. His service was absolutely horrible. I usually tip 50% of the total because tip karma is real, but minimal service=minimal tip. Sorry dude. The hostess, Kayla, was awesome though and I appreciate her very much. The food itself was reasonably good and fairly priced. I'd go again, and ask for a different server. Thank you. read more

I ordered the Big Game Meatloaf (bison, elk & beef) with mashed potatoes and a side salad. The food arrived lightning-fast. My waitress, Brenda, was attentive and very nice. And the food was excellent. The side salad wasn't the usual boring lettuce and some tomatoes, but included interesting additions like grapes and slices of mild radishes. The meatloaf was delicious; very moist with a sweeter flavor than normal meatloaf. Both the meatloaf and potatoes were adorned with a tasty gravy. read more

Fabulous restaurant. Available for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet was wonderful - everything freshly made and disappeared quickly. Dinner was also outstanding. Not sure if Last night was one of the bad nights to dine at the three bears restaurant, but we got to the restaurant took us at least 30minutes to be seated, then when we finally sat, it took us another 30 minutes for the waiter to acknowledge us, finally got acknowledged then it took another hour to get our drinks, the waiter that was serving us stank of boozes, after we got the drinks the appetizer which was incorrect, never mind that, we ate it anyway "ps" we were really hungry. after we got our appetizer it took an hour to get our main course, I ordered the broasted chicken with Basmati rice and fries, instead I got Asparagus and Mash potatoes, my fiancé ordered the spaghetti and meals which that was correct except it was under cooked. When we were seated our waiter Eddie was there almost instantly to take our drink order and then for our food order, both of which were brought in a timely manner. Definitely a pleasant experience. Three Bear Restaurant gave me one of the better meals on my vacation. My dad and I shared the broasted chicken dinner, which came with a soup or salad and one side. I got the soup of the day which was the chicken and wild rice. It was decent, but nothing too amazing, but the broasted chicken was super moist and crunchy. One order consisted of a breast, thigh, leg, and wing. It's a lot of food for one person, so I definitely recommend sharing. read more

I think right now during the virus it's the only restaurant open after 9 and if your staying at the lodge you can walk down the hallway to the entrance- I've only had breakfast there and the pancakes are really good. My family and I had dinner here and we really enjoyed our meals. The kids had the bison burgers and said they were very good. Two of us had the pork chop in a mushroom gravy. The pork was so tender that it fell off the bone. The only thing missing were the mushrooms, but it was still delicious. We really liked the warm Apple Brown Betty with ice cream for dessert. After a long day of fishing on the Madison River the six of us finally sat down to relax and have a nice dinner. We ordered two orders of nachos for appetizer for the table and that was plenty for six people I can't speak for anybody else's dinner but I ordered the larger cut of the prime rib medium rare it came out perfect with horseradish, and aujus for dipping. My sides consisted of a loaded baked potato and garden salad. I topped the evening's dinner off with a warmed chocolate cake which I split with my son because it was noted on the menu that it will feed two. Had high hopes for this place until we sat down. I asked if they had iced coffee and got no answer just a pour of hot coffee in my cup that looked strangely like iced tea. Tasted the coffee and it was basically water. Our sensitive looking Waiter didn't even greet our table he just walked past and said 3 tables ahead of you and walked away like a complete jerk. We stayed at the Three Bear Lodge so we had breakfast here 4 days in a row. We also ate dinner twice because we were too pooped to look around. The breakfast buffet that was complimentary was really good. You could also trade your voucher for $10 off any item from the breakfast menu. We did the buffet all 4 days. There was an amazing fruit bowl every day. The fruit was fresh and ripe. We all enjoyed starting our day this way. They had biscuits and gravy every day. A variety of breads, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. They had a second entree each day. 2 days it was hash, one day it was like a scrambled version of a Denver omelette, and one day it was quiche. Coffee is good. Service is excellent. They have the nicest servers! Both dinners were good. Across the dinners we tried the salmon, spaghetti, fettuccine Alfredo, and a couple soups. The food was all excellent. And again, the servers really go all out to ensure you are happy. We will be back next time we head to Yellowstone. read more

Came in here with my parents and husband for breakfast on a Wednesday morning when it was not even busy. Out of the 4 of us 3 ordered omelets and all 3 were wrong. We tried to tell our waitress but after the first one we told her was wrong she just asked my dad "so you want us to remake it?" really rudely and walked away when I said mine was wrong too. Lucky for her I didnt bother pushing that it was a Western Omelet that I ordered and instead of green bell pepper, onion, ham, and cheese it came with onion, ham, sausage, bacon, tomato and cheese. The hash browns were old and crusty and the service was extremely disappointing by Mariann who even gave us someone else's receipt when we asked to get a copy of our receipt.
