The best food we found in Yellowstone. So good, we went 3 of the 5 evenings we were in the area. Food: - Maryland crab cakes: really good, scallops cooked well, huckleberry added good flavor, sage cream corn was great - Pear prosciutto and burrata salad: really good and very generous - soup of the day: cream of mushroom one day and broccoli cheddar the next, both very warm and cozy - prime rib: great flavor, cooked well - bison rib eye: fattier than expected in a good way! - surf and turf: also great flavor and cooked well - seafood scampi Del Mar: good! -huckleberry crème brûlée: to die for Love that the entrees come with soup or salad and choice of baked potato or fries. Side salad is very generous. Service is amazing, they remembered us after the second time. They do get busy though but understandably cause it's so good. Decor is very woody and homey

3 Bear meatloaf. Super yummy! Sauce was not spicy.

A+. This place is downright amazing!!! The food is outstanding. Service is great! We had Kevin and he was on top of things. Our water was never empty. The restaurant is clean and has both tables and comfortable booths. We had the Bison burger, Cajun pasta, 3 bear meatloaf and kids chicken strips and mac n cheese. But the bread they bring to the table is the best bread we have ever tasted. It must be made in-house! We are here on vacation but will likely come back before we leave.

The food was delicious and service by Jonas was excellent! We had the huckleberry pancakes, the breakfast sandwich and bacon. The biscuits were especially good: light, fresh and fluffy. This is a great place for breakfast!

had a solid dinner here, prices were fair, service was good. no complaints other than the asparagus could have used some more seasoning (or any seasoning at all?? lol) interior isn't anything exciting or special, just a good standard restaurant that i believe does a breakfast buffet which sounds great!

Elk and Bison skewers and hummus platter.

Fun craft cocktails and good food. Very impressed with the Mediterranean hummus and the bison and elk skewers were yummy (could have used a dash more seasoning but tender and very good). Isaac was a fantastic bartender and showed a lot of pride in making good craft cocktails. They were delicious! The Maple old fashioned was delicious as well. He also let us sample his clarified margarita and it was so smooth and so delicious! Will definitely go back before we leave.

Absolutely LOVED this place. The ambience is cozy and homey and old school. The decor feels like country, with wooden tables and chairs, as well as booth seating. The food was delicious on the whole. One thing I'll say is that the pita was a bit hard and stale. We were so full after eating our apps and entrees that we were bummed we couldn't get dessert. Shoutout to 6'7" Kevin for being a great server.

Plenty of options to choose from (we only came here for breakfast). Our breakfast voucher from the lodge covered up to $10 on the menu and a drink. Our breakfast items ranged from English muffin breakfast sammies, breakfast burritos, western omelette, huckleberry pancakes, biscuits and gravy, etc. They did have a breakfast buffet for $14.95 advertised as one of the options one day. Even with short staffing, it took less than 45 minutes from sitting, ordering, to finishing. The restaurant was never full most days and the bear decor cute. I was informed that they no longer have bison sausage on the menu (like the online menu suggests). 2023 #42

A welcome late- dinner respite after a long delay leaving Yellowstone. We ate outside on the patio-…read morethere's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so even though it's crowded, it can accommodate a lot of people. The cinnamon pretzels are the best pretzels we've ever had- wow!! They're soft, coated in cinnamon sugar, and accompanied by the most delectable icing. I'd return just to get these for dessert. The buff bites were also excellent- I got the huckleberry BBQ sauce, it hit the spot, and definitely was enough for a meal. My husband got the country fried buffalo steak with mashed potatoes and also loved it. It's standard bar/grill food, something for everyone, but be sure to get the pretzels!

The burger was GREAT! Beware the roasted jalapeño as it definitely has a good kick, but I took bites of mine along with the burger and it was great. The wife's wings for being naked and not sauced were well seasoned and a good size for the price, recommend a side of fries or SP fries for only $3. Service was quick, we sat in less than 5 minutes with no reservation. Atmosphere was exactly what you would expect for a bar with sports and video poker, overall 8.5/10 after a long day, they need to keep their menus updated when they remove seasonal beers for a 9/10 or rounded 5 stars.

They don't take reservations and their is a long wait for dinner (great place, busy place!). I woukd suggest getting on the waitlist and then go shopping. They have an excellent waitlist system that you can see where you are and how long you have waited. Our wait was about 90 minutes as we were told. We came back when we were close to.the top. They share the building with other businesses and a nice lobby area to wait in. For cocktails, both husband and son ordered Old Fashions 1910! Made perfectly! They really enjoyed their drinks! I ordered the Flat Iron Steak and a House Salad. The steak.came with a chimichurri sauce, asparagus, and potatoes au-gratin. The steak was a pergect size, 8 oz. The star was the potatoes au-gratin! My husband ordered the Bison Meatloaf. Something you can't get just anywhere. Came with asparagus abashed potatoes. Generous size and he ate every bite! Excellent choice! My son ordered the Chicken Prosciutto Pasta. Perfect portion! Prosciutto was fried up crispy! He enjoyed his selection. We were too full dessert but could not pass on their Blueberry Bread Pudding. We took it to go along with Huckleberry ice cream and enjoyed the next day! Our server was Haeley and she was excellent. Although we had a carafe of water on our table, ahe made sure to refill.our waters. She checked on us often. In addition, the woman. Working reception was amazing. Juggling all the people on the waitlist. So many cing in.and hearing the long wait. She was patient and very friendly.

My Fiance got the trout but subbed mashed potatoes for the rice, and blew her away also. For dessert, the blueberry bread pudding with huckleberry ice cream is an amazing combo. We tried to go here 2 days in a row around 8:30pm, they close at 9. One night was too busy so we went elsewhere but we got lucky the 2nd night and found seats at the bar. The bartender was super nice and helpful with picking out the best stuff. Our drinks were also great. Huge selection of whiskeys and looks like every liquor. The building the place is in is pretty cool too, check out the brewery that's nearby. And also pickup bear spray for rent near the front door.

They had…read morea wide variety, lagers, ales, brown ales, IPAs and a sour beer of the month, which they let us try before buying. It has a real pub atmosphere with a great otter motif in the stained glass above the bar, and a long bar with lots of seating (there were also tables, of course). We even bought a shot glass from there (we love otters). The wait staff and bartenders were nice and friendly and attentive. The appetizer was a Jalapeno cream cheese stuffed wanton with a huckleberry dipping sauce. The jalapeno was finely diced and mixed in with the cream cheese. The dipping sauce was a little thin but complemented the wanton. The menu wasn't all that tempting to us (people were mostly ordering burgers and similar items) and we weren't very hungry so we just had our beer and left but we did enjoy our time there. And it's within walking distance of all the downtown action. Oh... and they really celebrated the area, but just with huckleberry, bison burger and the otter theme, but by featuring many local breweries. I like that :-)

The location was pretty close to our hotel, so we just crossed the street and walked to it. Our server was very nice and attentive. Cost-wise, the meal is on par with everyone else in town. They do not serve dessert at all. I was hoping for something like a cobbler or any sort of ice cream, but no luck. The server did recommend The City Creamery down about a block or two. We followed up on that and were pleased! I recommend this place.

Bullwinkle's was one of our favorite stops in West Yellowstone…read more We read reviews about the owner, Brenda, being super involved in the restaurant. Sure enough the moment we walked in we met her. An absolutely wonderful lady who took care of us from beginning to end of our experience and works her butt off to make sure that everybody has a wonderful experience at her restaurant. She seats patrons, waits tables, busses tables, and even brought us a jacket and souvenirs that we left at the table after dinner. (Bet she cleans bathrooms too, total team player). The general restaurant ambience was semi sports bar and semi steakhouse. They are connected to a casino and bar, which is a good time as well as a liquor store. Really anything you could ask for all in one location. The fillet came out a little bit rare, but they were more than willing to cook it longer, and the taste profile was great. The elk T-bone came out cooked wonderfully and had a gamey flavor that I would highly recommend trying if you're a fan of white tail venison (Tennessee boy here). I do think that you should get maybe a bit more asparagus for each $50 meal, but the ambience and service more than made up for the lack of vegetables. All in all, we highly recommend this for a nice dinner out, and the service will more than likely make you smile!
