I was in the area and have always liked threadless, so I thought I'd stop in and see what they had on their floor. Based on the reviews, I couldn't tell if it they were open to the public during business hours, but I thought it was worth the trip. I still don't know if they take walk in people during the daytime. Their doors are locked, and the elevator won't let you up unless they buzz you in. I didn't want to press the buzzer because I still wasn't sure if they would let me up and I just didn't feel like that awkward conversation if they wouldn't. Left without going in, and I still have no idea if you can stop by without an appointment to just browse without being there for "an event" or picking something up. Maybe I'll figure it out and come back one day. Bottom line, probably a cool place, just not very welcoming to a casual shopper. read more

Buyer beware at all costs. Even if they sell you the Tshirts for a buck, avoid them. Ordered 8 tshirts/hoodies from them. Did not hear anything from them for 8 to 9 days. After I contacted them, they told me that they take 7 days to process the order. It was already the 10th day. They converted my shipping to a 2 day shipping (which was good) and then after 10 days updated the tracking and changed the order as shipped. I checked out the tracking for 3 days and it was showing as unavailable (so the tracking number was in accurate). I emailed them a couple of times and they did not respond. Finally got an email after 4 days of the status change, that the factory did not send the order with a two day shipment and that the order is lost. They wanted 16 days of my time. I could have used other services but I made a mistake. Just writing a review so others don't make the same mistake. It looks like the 5 stars reviews they have are either paid reviewers or people who got lucky. Again, avoid them at all costs. They are not worth your time and money. Also I would recommend buying from them using Paypal so you can file a dispute if you get sub standard products or they give you the wrong size. They gave me a refund, as soon as I told them that I will file a dispute with them. read more

This review is strictly for the website not the store. While the site makes it easy to buy a T-shirt anything else you want is confusing. I recently tried to purchase wall art for Christmas gifts for my sister's. The expected delivery date was the 23rd of December. Which was perfect. When the date came there where no packages from them. I had the stuff from amazon that I ordered on the 22nd but not from them, which I ordered on the 17th. 2 of the three items came the next day which would be fine if they where correct but they where not. What I got, rolled up in a tube where prints that where scratched and unable to lay flat. After emailing their customer service multiple times and arguing that the posters they sent me where damaged and ungivable as gifts and getting what amounts to a deal with it they credited me about 61 dollars to, and I quote, "get what you meant to". This would have been fine if what I was " meant" to get was 60 bucks. It is not, its almost double that. So to sum up, they have horrible customer service and they expect YOU to pay when something goes wrong. I will never be shopping with them ever again. read more

I really enjoy the designs that threadless comes out with but my issue is with the terrible customer service. Twice now I have received the wrong product and this time instead of sending me the "are we there Yetie" t-shirt I received a HOODIE with a bloody animal on it dragging a chainsaw. . . . not even close to what I wanted. Not to mention that my e-mails have gone unanswered and they do not offer customer service on the phone, what a crock. read more

I've been to the building itself and it's all charmingly hipster-quirky and whatnot, so I guess if that's what you're looking for, they can help you out. Where they seem to fail is at the business of SELLING T-SHIRTS. I live in Chicago, so you'd think if they'd be able to get merchandise to anyone promptly, it would be me. And yet I placed an order on 12/3 - well within the margin explicitly promised on their website - that's been "processing" for 2 weeks and in all probability won't be here by Christmas. Their customer service, meanwhile, is laughable. The one canned response I did get didn't answer my question, and my follow-up communications have been ignored altogether. I really wouldn't bother with Threadless unless your house is too filled with bags of money and you just need to get rid of them without acquiring anything in return. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! I I placed an order on December 5th, and it has yet to even be shipped. I received a generic Facebook message on December 12th after attempting to contact the company twice saying that the delay is because of my custom order. I received no warning prior to my purchase that this order was custom, nor that it would require over 10 days to even leave the warehouse. In fact, I was told the order would take 3-5 days to ship. I have requested information on how to cancel my order THREE times now, but have received no response. I would have NEVER, nor will I EVER purchase from this company again. I would not recommend using this company!! read more

HORRIBLE customer service. I placed order for shipment to Cleveland OH on December 13th, and then tracked package via USPS as it bounced from Illinois to Kentucky to Ohio to Pennsylvania to Tennessee and back to Pennsylvania, where it seems to be stuck now. My messages to company's "help" team have been ignored, except for automated replies telling me I'd hear from one of their friendly staff within 24 hours, which, of course, never happened. No Christmas gifts for family members; no response from Threadless; no recourse. I'll file credit card dispute, but that's small comfort. Maybe brick-and-mortar shopping is better ... come to think of it, I could have driven back and forth to Chicago more than 20 times during the time I've been waiting! read more

Live in Illinois and decided to place order locally. Placed order on Dec 8 before they even opened. Spent over $150 for 4 shirts! For 4 shirts that's expensive. Waited for shirts to get processed for 2 weeks. According to website an order placed by this time should well fit the parameters of being delivered by Christmas. Not so! Was told after 2 weeks that EVERYTHING is custom printed! So technically they have no stock on hand. Was given generic responses to inquiries as to when they would arrive. Their website stated orders placed as late as December 14th will arrive in time. What they don't tell you is that it takes 4-8 business days (no matter what) to get your order ready. Then depending on shipping another 4-8 business days to ship. So you would in essence need to place an order more than a month in advance of any said occasion to receive it in time. That is still not the case. Go to twitter and put in @threadhelp and you will see pages of people who are so frustrated from this company. Past customers who gave this company a second chance and ordered in November to be told that they won't receive even their order in time. There is no excuse for this kind of customer service. On another note the shirts themselves were not worth $39 each. The shirts are very very thin. At most the shirts are $15 quality and that's even being generous. Looked at the shipping statement and saw that the order wasn't sent to processing until December 11th in the evening. So I placed the order December 8th at 8:30 am Illinois time and no one processed the order till December 11th in the evening. So my order sat in limbo for over 3 days before something was actually done with it. In the end I received my order December 28th. It wasn't shipped till December 23rd and they upgraded me to 2nd day air, but UPS (which is who they use) doesn't deliver on holidays or weekends. To make matters worse part of my order was missing. I will never be back. I've learned my lesson here and from now on will go somewhere else. My daughter really liked the designs but I can't see supporting a company this bad. I could understand having a couple glitches but this is too much to too many people. This is a poorly run company. read more

I really like the designs at threadless and decided to do a mystery 3 shirt deal for Christmas gifts. First I don't understand why the shipping takes so long. I live in Illinois. I can get something shipped from California in a day or two. No reason why it should take 2 weeks. Second their website sucks. I did their order checker to find out where my order is and every time it says they can't find my order. Well I sure paid for it, and have an email confirming my order. So I write an email to CS explaining my situation (including attaching a screenshot of their website saying they can't find my order) and I get an email a day or two later telling me how to use the order checker....Did they even read my email? If they had they would have known I already did that. Still not sure if I got ripped off or if my order is on its way. Would be nice if their website and customer service were fully functional. Would give higher rating if not for this issue. I really do love their designs, too bad the rest of the company isn't as good. read more
