Came here on Thursday July the 19th late morning to have a full face threading. There was no one so I didn't have to wait though she was alone. It hurt and burnt. My chin was left with lots of hair remaining and mostly I have scars left all over my face. I can't even come back to tell and show her how my face is as I had to fly back to Europe. This review is solely for Naheed. I read so many good reviews about her so I came here once and she messed up my eyebrows, didn't give me what l want. I guess a lot of time passed and I was searching up eyebrow spots and I came across this one again! I went there forgetting I was here before until I got there and was like "ohsnap I been here before and l didn't like it" but I was already there so I thought might as well give it another try. Girl; l should've just walked out the door. I am writing this review to remind myself I came here twice and Naheed messed up my eyebrows twice! My natural shape is really nice and I grew out my eyebrows so it's really easy to make them look good but she overthread them and both of the eyebrows look hideous. I will NEVER come back here ever again even if you pay me. I even emphasized how important my eyebrows are to me and trusted her. Ugh worse experience ever. My eyebrow shape has been rescued! Naheed is very skilled and the price is very reasonable for downtown Toronto. If you want thick brows, this is your place! But I do have few complaints. It hurt likes hell!! Naheed's work isn't soft on the skin and I'm expecting chaffing to follow. Service is little cold. Pro tip: try to avoid after-work rush hour (after 5pm) because the walk-ins get busy and she takes every customer even if you already have an appointment so her work can be rushed during those times. The last thing I noticed, sadly, was that they haven't had a BodySafe inspection in 2 years. I think it's time for a little refresher on their part, so I've made a complaint to Toronto Public Health. I walked in to see one of the staff members doing a threading and holding a lot of the thread in her mouth. That's flat out disgusting. Threading can open tiny holes in the skin and someone's mouth germs going in there? GROSS. Yes, I realize that's historically an acceptable method, but #sorrynotsorryhere, this is 2018 and we have a lot of knowledge now about infection control. This is not a safe standard taught in Canadian cosmetology schools. The woman who did my threading did not clean her hands after the last client/handling money or before the next. I had to ask her to go WASH them and she was shocked that I would not accept that she use sanitizer only. They clearly double dip in the wax pots. I noticed the stuck hair on them as I sat waiting. There was dust and hair everywhere. Lots of dust collecting personal articles all over. Very poorly kept and dimly lit place. The threading job was so-so. She did not do the clean ups on the right eyebrow as requested. The brows did not have the sleek and tapered look I have gotten in other salons. I had to tweeze some strays. Will not return, regardless of the price. read more

EDITED: upon closer inspection of my legs, she missed almost my WHOLE back upper leg, my knees AND huge strips down my calves. She was so busy that I didn't have a chance to check and make sure while I was at the salon - I am so so so disappointed. I would NOT recommend this place for a wax. Booked an appointment online for full leg, upper lip and Brazilian wax. Because it was such a busy time for walk ins, the one girl (not the owner) who was there took many walkins before me and my appointment was almost 40 mins late. Additionally, she did my Brazilian and then left to take more walkins and then came back to do the legs. She girl was so so nice and sweet and made me feel super comfortable, but she missed so much hair :( they use these roll on wax things for the legs and while it was very quick, she missed A LOT. same with the Brazilian, everything on the inner thighs and back of the upper legs she missed. I will have to go get another wax, so disappointing after reading rave reviews and paying 90$. This salon is super clean and bright but maybe better for just threading and not waxing. read more

I've been looking for a new eyebrow lady for the past 2 years with no such luck until now! Upon a simple google search, I decided to try this place out as the reviews were great, they're reasonably priced at $10, and I work in the area. I'm so happy I came because I have the perfect brows right now -- the arch and the thickness is perfect! I also like that she was able to correct the bad work of another place I went to before coming here. I visited Threading Experts based on the awesome reviews here on Yelp, and you did not disappoint! I arrived at Threading Experts with the intention of getting my eyebrows threaded, and that was it. Naheed made quick work of my eyebrows, asking me what kind of shape I would like, and expertly getting my brows in order. I had agonized over getting a facial too, because I really wanted one, but I had read that you shouldn't get one for the first time right before a big event. When I told Naheed about my concerns, she reassured me that there would be no adverse reactions, that she would recommend the same facial to her own daughters. After hearing some of the ingredients, I decided to go for it, and Naheed waited until I explicitly told her that I wanted to go ahead with the facial (Thank you for no pressure!). As my very first facial, I had no idea what to expect, and was anxious, but I left with wonderfully glowing skin and had no traces of an allergic reaction. My most and least favourite part was waiting with the fruit mask on. It smelled wonderfully delicious, but I got a little cold in the room, just waiting with the mask on my face. I've been to this salon once and it was a pretty good (and painful) experience. I needed to get my eyebrows threaded and the place I usually go to is very far. I decided to look for a closer place and this was it. I came into this salon late morning and it was empty, I didn't have to wait. I should mention I had very bushy eyebrows as I haven't touched them for months and they grew into monsters! The lady who did my eyebrows did a nice job shaping them. Because my brows were so bushy, I endured so much pain. There were tears shed and the lady was nice enough to wipe them for me. Clean up was surprisingly good too as I hardly had any stray strands to clean up at home. She was very patient with me and did not try to rush. The lady didn't make idle chat which I prefer since I hate it when they try to pry into my personal life. She also didn't try to push any services or products they offer. At the end of the threading, she applied some aloe vera to the area. I wish they offer a threading + waxing deal for bushy eyebrows or possibly trim the eyebrows after. The waxing would have definitely saved me on half the pain. They also have a promotion, do 7 threading eyebrow services and get the eighth free. The price isn't as cheap compared to other salons but compared to the downtown ones, Threading Experts is about the same price. But their price is worth it. I just went here today to get my eyebrows threaded by Nahid. It's my first time doing so in Toronto, and I decided to go based on the Yelp reviews. I am happy with the shape of my eyebrows; a tiny bit thinner than I am used to/how my previous beautician did my eyebrows, but I don't think I mind. The price to get my eyebrows threaded came to just under $8 ($7.90), and I think that's really reasonable for downtown Toronto. The lady who threaded my eyebrows was super nice! She was very sweet and friendly. The threading part hurt like $#!T but the lady was gentle so I didn't panic. The service was quick so even if you don't have an appointment, I would say max you will wait is 10 minutes. Personally I didn't like how my brows turn out to be. I don't have a lot of brows so I was just expecting a little grooming to get rid of brows else where. I'm giving 4 stars because the service itself was professional and I do like my eyebrow shape. But, if you believe you have a relatively sensitive skin, then trust yourself and don't risk it. I did a facial threading with eyebrows two days ago, and now the skin underneath my eyebrow as well as both cheeks are red and irritated with bumps. All I did after threading is wash my face with cold water, apply a basic moisturizer, avoid sun exposure and didn't use any other products just to make sure I won't have skin irritation, but it happened anyway. This was the first time I tried threading, and will be the last time also. I don't believe in second or third time will be better kind of thing. read more

I'm going to give a 4 star (it could be a 5 but I'm not a threading expert ha-ha) I came in today for a full face thread with my eyebrows. I figured the price was great so why not give it a try. I've had my full face done before and I've come out super red from the experience, but not here. The lady who helped me was really nice and she really took her time on my eyebrows. When I told her what I didn't like about my sideburns and hairline before she got started, she made sure to take extra care on those areas as well. I got great brows, fairly painless experience, and didn't have to wait forever in line. For what you get for this price, I'd say this is a steal for threading in the Downtown area. I was at my ortho and searched up waxing salons nearby and saw this place had GREAT reviews. She was so quick and professional. Made me feel super welcome and comfortable. Threading Service for Eye Brows and Waxing Price They've recently increased their prices but it's still reasonable under $12. They also offer loyalty card stamp for each visit. Be sure to keep it and have it with you. Customer Service Staff are friendly and patient. During busy nights (e.g. Thurs-Friday) they can be rushed but overall quality is on par. Quality of Threading Like the shop's name, they are experts at threading which is true. I would only recommend them for threading. I love the shape she carves out for my eye brows. She is experienced, friendly, and highly recommended. Quality of Waxing They offer waxing but the main lady who does it is heavy handed and slow. She takes her time which is fine but it was more painful than it should be. I'm not sure if it's the wax, but either way, I would not be using their waxing service. It should be noted, they double-dip the stick into the wax so I personally wouldn't get a Brazilian / bikini wax here. Other parts, I'm fine with but a word of caution especially if you have cuts down there. read more

I dropped by here yesterday because I needed a quick brow cleanup before a wedding this weekend. I've been getting my brows done elsewhere but heard this place was the best. Well, my eyebrows were positively butchered. The left one is an entirely different shape from the right and because the woman who did it altered the natural shape so drastically I can't even fill it in to match my right side. I will say that my right eyebrow looks great, so I guess I'll just make sure that all the photos I take this weekend only show my right brow. At this point I'm seriously concerned that the left one won't grow back normally and I'll have janky mismatched brows forever. I'm never going back to this place, and this might have scared me away from threading forever. read more
