This business advertises a 10:30am open time Monday-Friday. I show up at 10:25am, as I wanted to be the first person seen. 10:30am arrives and no one is there. 10:35am, the shop is still not open. Other potential customers arrived looking for a service and left because they were not open. I waited until 10:45am before leaving, and at that time, no one had arrived. I'm not sure if they changed their opening hours to 11am, but it would be nice if those hours were updated online and on the sign they have in the front of their store. read more

Love coming here to get my eyebrows done! I've gone here twice and have been satisfied with my brows each time. The shape is clean and flatters my face -- she clearly knows what she's doing. As long as you give some general direction of thickness, she does the rest of the magic in figuring out which shape is best for you. The job is overall not too painful (never scarred or bled from this as I have from other places) and honestly lasts a while since she takes her time to make sure everything is right. read more

I dropped by here yesterday because I needed a quick brow cleanup before a wedding this weekend. I've been getting my brows done elsewhere but heard this place was the best. Well, my eyebrows were positively butchered. The left one is an entirely different shape from the right and because the woman who did it altered the natural shape so drastically I can't even fill it in to match my right side. I will say that my right eyebrow looks great, so I guess I'll just make sure that all the photos I take this weekend only show my right brow. At this point I'm seriously concerned that the left one won't grow back normally and I'll have janky mismatched brows forever. After growing my eyebrows out for 6 months I decided to book an appointment here based on other yelp reviews. My appointment was for eyebrow threading and full arm wax. Not only were my eyebrows completely butchered to the point where every other location I have gone to since has told me I have several bald spots, but she completely destroyed the skin on my upper arm. I had a huge reaction to which has only just cleared after over 2 months. This wasn't due to the fact that I have sensitive skin because I don't, but when she was pulling the wax both times it got stuck on the areas because she wasn't pulling fluidly and both those locations where the strip didnt come off properly had a severe reaction to the point I haven't worn a short sleeve top since. read more

I used to go to Threading Experts once a month. Service was alright, but prices were great! I would always book in advance to place an appointment for a full bikini wax. Unfortunately, I will not be returning in the future. The last couple of times I've gone, Naheed (owner) was the only on-site staff. Normally I commend this sort of can-do-all attitude, however I feel she has spread herself too thin. I always book an appointment in advance, and the last couple of times it felt like I was a major inconvenience. To give some examples: A couple times I have booked in for a wax and waited in the wax room 40 minutes passed my appointment time because walk-in's were being treated one after another as they continued to enter the salon. If you are going to welcome walk-in's (which is great) you should consider having two staff members present. 1 staff member to deal with bookings, and the other staff member to greet and deal with walk-ins. The second and last time I went, there must have been a double booking with the addition of walk-ins. However, this time I didn't wait 40 minutes but instead my service was completely rushed!!! Naheed herself seemed very stressed and busy and it felt like I as the client was an inconvenience to her. She rushed through my waxing, missed multiple hairs and left me with many ingrown hairs (my hair pattern is pretty good and my skin is not known for ingrown hairs). As a returning customer, I expected more from her. Sadly, I will NOT be returning. They lost a loyal customer. read more

You know I once wrote a great review about this place because I really meant it but I really am very disappointed about what happened. I am a student that frequently goes to this salon, and because her prices are kind of too high I once asked her to lower her prices and she sympathized with me which made me really love her (naheed). I obviously do not expect her to lower her prices everytime, however I went to her today to get a Brazilian wax and half legs wax, she started off with my legs which costs 25$, and then my bikini which costs 35$ for normal wax and 45$ for her special wax, I debated and she convinced me and told me if I pay cash she won't charge me tax and I said thank you and accepted her offer. When I was done I went and did my upper lips which costs 6$. When I was done and wanted to pay she calculated everything in front of me and she went like "legs 28$, bikini 45$ and upper lips 7$", I paid 80$ When I left the store I remembered that half legs were always 25$ so why say 28$? so I checked her prices online and she overpriced me on both upper lips by 1$ and 3$ for half legs. I know it's just 4$ but I was really upset as to why she would fool me? I went back to her and asked for the prices, I calculated it in front of her, saw my total was supposed to be 76$ and I looked at her and left he store. I'm just really mad as to how some people could fool others after they build trust. Crazy. Most of the hair on my leg is still there too. 1 star and never going back read more

I have always gone to a salon in Parkdale but Naheen was quick, efficient and the nicest person ever! Although she has one worker on the weekends, she is a one woman show and proud of it! My first time getting a facial so I was a little nervous but it was THE BEST EXPERIENCE! She explained what she was doing as she did it and always made sure I was ok. She also asks if it's ok to do something such as steaming the face as not everyone likes it. I loved when she massaged my face and didn't want her to stop. Last time took a little longer to get there and when I said I was happy with the result, she asked me several times if I was sure and offered to go back until I was 100% satisfied. I was, and I really appreciated the time she took with me - I'm very, very particular about my brows and Haritha has consistently done an excellent job. I came here for the first time today and I am SO happy with my eyebrows! Luckily I don't have sparse, thin eyebrows but in the past I've had eyebrow estheticians make really awful shapes out of them that don't suit my face at all! I found threading experts on yelp this morning and when I walked in my brows were attended to promptly and I didn't even have to wait at all even though I had no appointment. The service was so friendly and it is just over $9 with tax for brows threading. I showed her a picture on my phone of what I wanted my brows to look like and she made them exactly like that! I will definitely be back. Most places I've been to before don't really ask what shape you want but here, they made an effort to get exactly the shape I want. I hate to be that one negative review in a sea of positive ones, especially because I love supporting small, local businesses, but unfortunately I had a pretty terrible experience here recently so I should probably share it in case this happens to anyone else. After reading the great reviews on Yelp, I decided to go here to get my eyebrows threaded here after letting them grow in for a while. I chatted with the woman working there (didn't catch her name, unfortunately - that would have been helpful) about what I wanted done with my eyebrows and we decided that leaving them thick/natural-looking but a little more shaped than they were before would be best. Partway through, she showed me one eyebrow, and that looked OK enough so then she went ahead and did the other one. Once the other one was done, I saw that my eyebrows were a) much thinner than I'd ever call 'thick', and b) super uneven, both vertically and horizontally. By that I mean that one was much higher than the other, *and* one starts much closer to my nose than the other one. Yikes! When I told her that I thought they were uneven, she told me that this was just how my brows were, which really isn't the case - I promise that I don't have crazy mutant eyebrows and they didn't look at all like that when I came in the door. She then offered to try to 'fix' it, which made it even worse - they looked even more uneven, and now my right brow was missing a chunk on top, which makes the brow dip down in the middle in a weird way. I felt really panicked and told her that I thought they were very different and now weirdly shaped, at which point she brushed me off and told me that I should 'ask a friend' and that they'd tell me that they looked the same. Well, I did follow her suggestion and ask some friends... and they agree that my brows look uneven and unflattering. So much for that. Maybe it was because I was clearly panicked/unhappy at the end, but she didn't put on any aloe on my red/irritated post-threaded skin, even though I saw her do that for the person before. Luckily I have an aloe plant at home so I was able to deal with it myself and my skin calmed down after a couple of hours. On the plus side, at least it wasn't very expensive, eyebrows do grow back, and I've quickly become really good at using an eyebrow pencil, so I suppose it could have been worse! read more

Horrendous. I came here to have my eyebrows cleaned up before seeing a friend visiting Toronto. My naturally thick brows were transformed into a stick-thin, curved (not even arched) MESS, despite agreeing we were keeping them thick! They were probably half the thickness they were when I came in. Ugh, just awful. I'll stick to MYNC to give me eyebrows that look presentable. read more

There were three people ahead of me, but the wait wasn't that long. The lady was quick and efficient and she gave me her card at the end. Eighth visit for threading I assume is free. I have to dock one star off because the price on her site said that the threading for brows was $8 but she charged me $8.50 + tax. Or maybe I got this price but my fault for not speaking up. Uneven, misshapen brows and too much taken off. One is thinner and shorter with an odd shape. Unnatural looking. I went through 6 months of bushy, unruly brows just to grow them out and now they are mostly gone. Back to the drawing board. I think I should do them myself with a tweezer from now on. :( Maybe others have better experience there because they like thin. I was there months ago and they are still thin. read more
