I've been coming here for about 4 years now, just to get my brows done and nothing else. I had a friend recommend it to me because I used to go to Eyebrow Beauty down in Brea but one of the girls I used to have all the time left and all the other girls did not shape my eyebrows how I like them which is thin and not pointed. Binal is a delight, she knows me and greets me by name every time I walk in since I'm a regular and I always tip her extra when I go every month. Sad it's closed now because of the current events but gave me time to write this review and I can't wait until it's open again. Binal always knows my usual shape: soft arch brow but to her it's a just a clean up but she gets the arch right every time. She's very gentle and fast, my eyebrows are thin to begin with but the hair grows to my eyelids and she's very careful and does it at ease. Then tops it off with a cooling gel and a massage that feels great and relaxing. She's super nice and strikes a conversation with me each time. She's very talented and very nice! I love this place, I think it's the best brow threading shop in the OC! They also have your phone number in their system so you can accumulate points to get a free thread from time to time. But $10 is worth it and there's hardly ever a wait. read more

For years I never went to the same threading salon twice, I was never truly happy with my results. One day, about a year and a half ago, I was getting my nails done up the street and decided to try this place out after my appointment. I have never left anywhere so happy. This is a small threading shop with currently just Mina working on clients. Gets pretty packed, especially after work so would recommend coming at an off-hour as parking is tricky too (street or limited lot parking on hilly area). Mina is quick but gentle and attentive. She provided me with suggestions on the best brow shape for my face and even how to help the hair grow faster if I wanted to thicken it and/or change the shape. This fact I appreciated most about Mina and definitely recommend her services as she's a great communicator and highly skilled at her trade. The price is also unbeatable! read more

Second time here and listened to what Beant recommended - using castor oil to help strengthen and increase hair growth. During this visit Mina was able to thread my brows and she complimented on use of the castor oil. Mina did an amazing and gentle job with shaping and cleaning up the brows. I'm very happy!! I've always had Mina when I had my eyebrows done here and she's great. Gentle, doesn't cut my skin and shapes them well. However I was in a time crunch this last visit and Mina was with another client so I decided to go with the other person. I should have waited for Mina or came back another time (they don't do appointments). Don't get me wrong the other lady was really nice and didn't rush (although now I think about it, it may be for the lack of experience) but completely reshaped my brows the wrong shape and ended up cutting my skin in several places. Facials here are the best! As soon as I stepped into the facial room, I felt a sudden comfort, such a nice room. The facial was so relaxing that I even fell asleep at one point. Trust this place!!!! This is the only place I will ever go to get my eyebrows done. I get my brows and upper lip threaded by Beant and she never disappoints! I live about an hour and a half away from my parents (they live in Fullerton) and whenever I visit them, I make sure to stop by Thread a Brow. What sucks is that I am barely able to make the drive over here that my eyebrows are always such a mess when I visit!!! I wish they were closer to where I lived. Anyways, prices are extremely affordable- about $14 without tip for both my brows and upper lip. Highly recommend!!! *UPDATE* So I stopped by for my regular thread-sesh, and found out that Beant is away on pregnancy leave!!! I was a little disappointed, but was serviced by MINA. I told Mina that I'm super new too eyebrow threading and that this was my third time doing it, and the place prior had messed the shape of one brow a little. Oh man. This is gonna be a long one. I seriously thought I'd be one of the many people to give this place a five star review after my very first time coming here, as I had a great experience. I went on Valentine's Day so there was no waiting. Mina really took her time shaping my brows so they'd be thick without too much of an arch (my eyebrows used to be too arched- they'd go up and never come back down- and I felt they made me look angry) and left me with my brows on fleek with minimal pain. However, I wanted to go more than once before waxing (or threading) poetic just to make sure things would stay consistent. I came with three other friends on a Monday this month, a few days before our senior portraits. There were two to three people ahead of us and the seats were all occupied, so Mina said we could sit in the other threading chairs (yay, more swivel-y fun). As we waited, we watched Ellen on TV. Finally it was my turn. She said she'd just clean up my brows a bit, as they weren't particularly out of shape. I heard the thread snap a few times but thought nothing of it, and when I looked in the mirror my brows were thinner and a little more arched than I preferred, but they still looked fine. I'm the type of person who takes time to decide whether or not I like my freshly shaped brows, so I just nodded and said "yeah" and she proceeded to give me a mini brow massage, which felt nice. As I sat back down to wait for my friends, I saw that more people had come in, one of which made a weird face upon seeing there were so many people waiting. I felt that Mina began rushing, which explains why my brow massage felt shorter than it was the first time. Two of my friends required more shaping and their brows ended up looking nice, but they both broke out badly around their brows; they think it was due to the spoolie she used while trimming their brow hairs. One of those two also began swelling pretty badly, but that usually happens to her during threading. I also have to note here that the toner Mina uses makes me slightly itchy. It's not too bad, but is still a little irritating. The last of the four of us (also a Thread-A-Brow regular) finally finished up, and we paid all at once. I noticed that Mina had handed out what looked like stamp cards to the two people who were ahead of us, but she didn't do so for us, perhaps because she was in such a rush. Made me sad because I do enjoy coming here and it's always nice to have some incentive haha. Once I got home I looked closely in the mirror and saw five small cuts. One was deeper than the others and has left a small mark above my eye after healing. It's tiny, but it'd obviously be nice if it weren't there. Also, Mina missed a few hairs between my brows (I naturally have a unibrow but keep that monster groomed lol, though I slacked off in the days leading up to the threading because I figured she'd take those hairs out). In addition, my brows were a teensy bit off center. She threaded them so there would be no "gradient" on the inner corners, but my brows get darker at different places so one brow started farther away from the center than the other. It's barely noticeable but I'm OCD about my brows so. Yeah. After leaving my brows alone for about a week (other than plucking out stray hairs), I'm pretty happy with them, but mainly because they look thicker and slightly less arched due to hair regrowth. All in all, Thread-A-Brow is still my favorite threading place by far and I will return, but minus a star for my tiny scar and off center brows and another for my friends' breakout. Yes, I'm padding the rating a bit because I'm still hopeful that Mina can recreate my first experience there. read more

They take their time to shape them perfectly and give a mini head/ forehead massage afterwards. I have thick hair and they don't cut me or leave my brows red and swollen. Mina is the person to go to for threading. I am extremely particular about my eyebrows, especially because I have had them messed up multiple times by multiple people and I am Indian so my eyebrows are thick and require maintenance. Mina always takes her time, is very friendly, and she listens to what I want and delivers. Whenever she has extra time she gives a mini massage on my forehead, which is really wonderful since that area is in shock due to the thickness of my brow hair. I also love that Mina never recommends something you don't need. For example, I asked if she thinks I should come one a week and she said two weeks should be fine. She also gives great tips about brow care. There are always great magazines to read and the location of the salon is beautiful.
