Let me first say that Mina is great at what she does. HOWEVER, I am not able to find her at her shop when I call in to check to see if she is available and unfortunately the women she has on staff, from my experience, are horrible at their jobs. I have tried time and time again to find a day and time when she will be at available but to no avail. I called in 11:13 am today, spoke with a woman on the phone, the conversation is as follows: "Hi! Is Mina in today?" "No, she's not." "Okay, do you know when she'll be in?" "No." "She's the owner and you have no idea when she'll be in?" "No, maybe next week?" "Okay thank you!" I'm sorry, but if it's your business and your workers have no idea when you're coming in or maybe offer to take an appt? Come on. That's no way to run a business. I'm all for small business and I really tried to hold off on writing this review since I really love the way she does my eyebrows but when you're the only one from your staff that knows what they're doing, I can't hold off from doing my eyebrows just because I'm not able to find you and give you my hard earned money. I'm a guy with really thick eyebrows so occasionally I have to stop by and get them threaded. This is the first place I found about a few months back and ever since it's been the only place I go to get my eyebrows tamed. The service is great, my brows come out perfect every time, and the Manager is one of the kindest women you'll ever meet. She always makes an effort to start a conversation to get to know you more and it never feels like they're just trying to get you to come back. So today, I went with my friend to get her eyebrows threaded at Thread A Brow for the first time. I never felt the need to thread my eyebrows because mine are very thin and sparse naturally. Plus, every single person I know that have gotten their eyebrows threaded before always have nightmarish stories about how their eyebrows are now over done and crooked. As my friend was getting hers done here, I could tell right away that the owner knew what she was doing. So I decided to get my eyebrows threaded for the first time. Idk how but my eyebrows now look fuller than they were before I got them done! They look so polished and clean. I could never imagine how others could have had bad experiences with threading because of my amazing experience here. This was my go to eye brow threading salon, not anymore unless the previous staff returns !!!! I can't, with the new lady. It's very painful and removes way too much when threading. This last time I specifically said "clean up" and she did way more than that. I'm really disappointed that I have to write this review. When it first opened, Thread a Brow had been my go-to eyebrow threading place. It was the creme de la creme. I had never been to such an incredible threading spot. Only the best eyebrow threaders were hired, and now the employees that are working there are just awful. The skinny girl is gone (thank goodness, she was a nightmare) but she was replaced by someone just as bad. I went today and only an old woman was there (I only trust Mina and Bijal, I should've walked away then) but I had faith that Mina hired another fantastic woman. I was so incredibly wrong. She was extremely slow, so the hairs were plucked out slow and it irritated my skin and hurt WAY more. She insisted on asking me questions but then telling me to be quiet and not move? She told me that Bijal hasn't been working there for 8 months (is this true or am I just crazy?). And then she charged me a much higher amount than I was supposed to be charged!!! (I had bought a facial package for a decent amount of money and was promised a discount on every eyebrow threading I got for one year, it hasn't been a year yet!). And now that I'm home and looking at my eyebrows and upper lip, I see that SO MANY HAIRS WERE MISSED!!! I have to tweeze them out myself! REALLY??? The wait is never that long anymore now that she has two other ladies working there. Thread A Brow is the only place I will ever go to for my eyebrows!!! Mina is the sweetest woman and does an amazing job. I have naturally dark and thick eyebrows and she knows exactly how to shape them to keep them thick but also so they compliment my face. The best part of this experience is she puts a toner on at the end and massages it in so you don't get red and you leave relaxed. It smells so good too! Thread a Brow has been my go-to brow place for about a year now and I love it so much! The atmosphere is very inviting and all of the threaders are friendly and approachable. If possible, I recommend having Mina thread your brows for you. She goes over exactly what you want before starting and gives you explanations if something may or may not work for you. The other threaders do a good job too but out of all of the times I've gone, Mina has always been the best. She does exquisite work every single time and knows a good balance between being gentle while cleaning up really well. If I had any complaints with this location, the only one would be that it may be hard to keep your brows consistent if you get different threaders every time. But regardless, I always have a good experience when coming here. I wish they were open on Sundays! read more

I've been coming to Thread a Brow for about 2 years and have had some good experiences and bad ones as well but kept coming back because Mina is amazing and my eyebrows would always look amazing after she was done with them. I started to notice it kinda bothered the other ladies that I would ask to wait for Mina, and sometimes I felt like it would bother Mina as well. I had my eyebrows done by each girl there and every time they would be thinner or uneven, I think I shouldn't have to feel obligated to have them done by someone who I think wasn't leaving them right. Recently though I got them done by one of the girls ( I forgot her name but she's the taller one) and I liked how they were coming out. Over all it's a hit or miss,no doubt they're amazing but I feel like sometimes they lack customer service skills and kind of do a sloppy job. Today I called to see if they were open I didn't get an answer the first two times but by the third try Mina answered and informed me that she was closing at 6:30 but was locking the door at 6:00. I rushed over there and got there with 10 minutes to spare only to find out she had already locked the door and didn't let us in ): she told us she was closed and continued to work on the customer in her chair. It was 5:52. I get it, it's a holiday but why would you say a certain time and then close earlier ? I wouldn't have driven all the way to the shop. I felt hurt and pretty upset. I was looking for eyebrow threading and a place for facials near Fullerton area and I came across thread a brow. They had great reviews and everyone raved about how well they consult with you before they shape your brows. They so lived up to my expectations, This was my first experience where someone asked me "how would I like my eyebrows". After I told them, they gave me a suggestion based on the shape of my face. Since everyone loved their outcome and they seem to be experts in their art, I said why not and went with their suggestion. OMG! they were so right, my eyebrows were on the point. I loved the fact that they took their time and listened to what I had to say. They also made great suggestions on how to take care of my face, now that I am a mommy i rarely get time to take care of myself. For facials they usually require an appointment but lucky for me they had an opening and I wanted to be pampered. The facial put me to sleep and my skin never looked so clear and tight. On my way to Brea mall, I just saw this new place pop up. I needed to get my eyebrow threading done so I decided to step in. It was closing time but the girl was so nice that she was more than accommodating to hang back and take care of me. One of the first things I noticed about the place was that it look immaculate. It had a very modern look, clean design, bright, neat and clean. I just love how it looked, very Zen. I found out at the end that the girl who did my eyebrow was the business owner. She was so sweet and spoke very well, she understood exactly how I wanted to get my brows done. I have had decent brows done before but most of the time it's a hit or miss and the communication has been poor. In my experience most of these places just sit me down and go at it. This is what made my experience at Thread A Brow so unique, based on our communication I felt confident that my eyebrows were going to look exactly the way I wanted and indeed it came out perfect. I have tried out a couple other locations in orange county but its usually juet been decent exoerience, for once I'm in love! I have searched and been to a lot of places for brow threading. I used to go to Sutra in Irvine until they butchered my right eyebrow, leaving me with 3/4 of my brow on my right side. Came into thread a brow and got excellent service! My brows look amazing and service was above and beyond.
