We visited Jim Thorpe's 903 for a bachelorette party of 10. I was anticipating that they were going to not be able to handle a large party because the restaurant was already packed. The server that we had was great. The timing of ordering food and drinks to it being delivered to our table was pretty quick. There are a lot of options on the menu. I tried out the lasagna roll. The portion was huge. The taste of the lasagna filling was a little muddled due to the way the ricotta cheese and meat was mixed in together. Drinks, apps, and entrees came out quickly which was impressive for our large group. The only downfall was how expensive this place was. After spending the day exploring Jim Thorpe PA, stopped here for dinner. Great family atmosphere. Our server, Denise, was great. My guest had shrimp cocktail and the 5 shrimp were enormous. She ordered filet bourguignon and asked to substitute the pasta for vegetables. No problem and tasted great. I had a breaded pork chop. Even though menu said 14oz, I was not prepared for just how big it would be. Done perfectly. The only hiccup was my date's dessert; listed as a rum cake, just not what she expected. Melissa (Moon) is the BEST bartender ever! This is our go to spot when in the Jim Thorpe region. It's only been open a year and they really got it down PAT! The drinks are fantastic as is the exceptional food. Once you have a big bowl of the lobster bisque (14) dollars, you'll be back for more! Rivals any we ever had and we're foodies in our sixties! The chicken parm was huge and delicious, I could only eat half after the bisque. So filling! Sturdy to go container made it a breeze to pack up. We also had the fried shrimp appetizer which rocked with peach sauce. The blackened shrimp in the Alfredo was the bomb as was the pasta and sauce. The lobster Mac and cheese was also to die for! Corona on tap with lime so yummy too. Go to the bar and ask for Melissa, aka. Moon. Tell her Bob and Carol said Hi please. Visiting the area and I normally know exactly where I want to eat after doing my research. Today, we happened to pass by this restaurant and it looked nice so we did what we did before Yelp was a thing .. we judged it by its cover, and boy am I glad we did!! The staff couldn't have been nicer and several of them checked on us throughout the meal, including the owner. We ordered burnt ends, pilgrim with chips and Cole slaw, chicken parm with beef barley soup. Everything was excellent!! My husband and I tasted everything and we both agreed the parm was a 10, including the pasta and the sauce (he did ask for extra sauce which the owner delivered himself -- it was very good!) Portions are very generous and we took half back to our rental to eat the following day for lunch .. it was just as good!! Finished the meal with a surprise piece of bread pudding (my fav dessert) and it was awesome too! We're only here a few more days but plan to go back for dinner and then stop for some of the lobster bisque to take home as everyone was raving about it. My boyfriend and I went there for dinner. We both ordered surf and turf. THe file was adequate but a little dry. The lobster tail was awful, I don't know how it was cooked but it was tasteless and did not even look appetizing on the plate. They didn't even removed it from the shell for us. It was not served with any melted butter, we had to request this from our server and even when it was delivered it was barely warm and did not come with a canister to keep it warm. We were not offered any bread for our table, although other tables did receive theirs. I will say that our waiter was very attentive and did his best to make things better. But there was a waitress working there who was extremely loud and her voice carried throughout the restaurant. She spent a lot of time socializing at tables. She spent a good 15 having a personal chat with the table next to ours making it unpleasant for us to have our own conversation and being able to hear each other. This restaurant is fairly expensive and I would have expected so much better. Definitely will NOT return. read more

Now under new ownership & revamped, we stopped in for dinner pre-concert. Excellent experience! Seated quickly. Nice ambiance. Wait staff was friendly & attentive. Food served in a timely fashion. We were a party of 4 & all greatly enjoyed their meals. One member has some food restrictions & the restaurant staff & chef adapted perfectly. The 903 burgers were large & delicious. One of our party tried the Croque Monsieur sandwich special after hearing about this tasty treat in a movie & was very pleased. I had the pan seared salmon w dill special & enjoyed it immensely. Came there once during summer and had lunch on the deck and sandwich and salad were ok nothing crazy, a little pricey for the small portion. Just came again for dinner with my husband and I am Italian so I am picky with my pasta. I didn't realize most of the menu is Italian so we both tried ordering pasta just to test it out. Was very surprised it was amazing! Entrees came with soup or salad and the pasta was excellent. We heard so much about this place we just had to try it as it was my mom's 88th birthday. Simple process for reservations and Immediately got seated Waitress attended to us almost immediately Drinks order was first naturally, then she took our food order and explained all the specials. We were somewhat unsure and she did a great job offering suggestions Soup and salads came out first, awesome by the way Next were the main entrees. I personally had the chicken Parm, which was out of this world. My wife continued to comment on the wonderful ambience and lighting fixtures. The waitress checked on us occasionally, which was great as we needed a little bit more water and some refresh on the drinks. Naturally, I needed a to go container because I definitely wanted to try the desserts, which the waitress emphasized were all homemade. We will definitely be back. We are Jim Thorpe locals and have been waiting for this restaurant to turn into something for years. So excited when we saw this place was opening. We went for the first time last night and it was very busy which was a good sign. We had to wait a few minutes for our res which was not a problem at all. The food was very good and my rating is mostly for the food and the nice people that work there. Menu is very diverse too so there's something for everyone. A couple of things that I think they could improve: Better training of servers and staff. Our server was the nicest guy but seemed a little inexperienced and generally aloof. They could use some work with their coursing as well. For instance, we ordered drinks and apps and waited about 15 min for drinks and apps showed up with the dinner. Salads showed up after the entrees hit the table; we had no room on the table. We did not have any silverware or napkins or side plates when the food showed up either. The biggest suggestion I would have is to dim the lighting at dinner service to create a better ambiance. At current the lighting makes it feel like a hospital cafeteria. It's a cute space but lighting would make it feel so much more inviting and cozy for a restaurant in the mountains. We enjoyed sitting at the bar, and the bartenders were very friendly and we had great conversation with them. The kitchen was accommodating for our small request for the flatbread pizza we shared. The pizza was delicious!! Cooked perfectly - the sauce was so good. The restaurant itself was nice, bright and clean inside (the bathrooms were very clean as well). The ONLY downfall is their pricing is a bit high. We really wanted to try the wings, but couldn't justify the pricing of them. If I could give half stars - this place would definitely get a 4.5! We just had a table for 6 celebrating a birthday today, 3/22. The food was excellent and our waitress was terrific. The rest of the staff went out of their way to greet us. My husband and I found this restaurant by chance while vacationing in the Pocono. First, the restaurant is beautiful. Extremely clean and welcoming. I felt like I had been going there for years. Second, the food is amazing. Absolutely delicious and you get a lot for your money. Third, the staff is out of this world. They are very attentive to checking if you need anything and are some of the nicest people I've met. Our sever Denise was down to earth, funny and took care of us extremely well. Beautiful restaurant with a friendly staff & one of the best menus in the area! We tried the flatbread, & could have made a meal of it! My sister had the Alfredo with a Caesar salad which was fresh with just the right amount of dressing. I had a smoked salmon BLT & highly recommend it! Their 903 burger was tasty and well cooked.
