Our son absolutely loves going to his swim lessons weekly and he truly has learned lots such as kicking and paddling, learned how to wear goggles and how to hold his breath while underwater. He's currently working on feeling comfortable submerging his head entirely under water and diving. He's showed so much progress thus far and I'm so proud of him! Along with that, she has fun phrases like "sauce the pizza" , "butterfly starfish", and many more to make the kids laugh and have fun while they go thru this amazing growing process. I would not recommend this swim instructor…read more I prepaid $475 for a package of 20 fifteen-minute swim lessons for my 4-year-old son because he was so excited to learn to swim. Unfortunately, it turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. Lesson after lesson was canceled, usually at the last minute. The reasons were consistently blamed on the weather, even on days when the radar was completely clear (I've included screenshots), or because the pool supposedly wasn't "hot and ready" despite the lessons being scheduled in advance. On one occasion, I had already arrived at her house before being told the lesson was canceled. The only full lesson my son received was one 15-minute session. During the second lesson, he was only in the pool for 6 minutes before it ended. In total, after paying for 20 lessons, my son spent only 21 minutes in the pool. When I requested a refund because the lessons were repeatedly canceled, I was initially told I would be refunded. Instead, I received less than what was owed. When I questioned it, I was told that "2 lessons is a different price than 20," even though the second lesson lasted only 6 minutes and wasn't even completed. The communication was unprofessional throughout the process. Instead of taking responsibility for the repeated cancellations, I was repeatedly told, "I make the call," regardless of the actual weather conditions. As a parent, the most disappointing part was watching my son get excited for swim lessons over and over, only to have them canceled at the last minute. We rearranged our schedules multiple times, drove to lessons, and still left without him getting the instruction we paid for. I understand that weather can occasionally affect outdoor swim lessons, and safety should always come first. However, the repeated cancellations, inconsistent explanations, incomplete lessons, and refund issues made this a very disappointing experience. Being able to create something of beauty and not having talent doesn't matter because of the instructions received from Andy. Speaking of Andy, I have to say he is a phenomenal teacher! He explains things in great detail yet in such a way that he is not talking over you or above you but rather with you. He explains by example and by words. He was very patient through the process understanding had never done something like this, and allowed me to express creativity along the way. When it came to the end, describing what the opening of the boss would look like he gave me various options. I cannot commend Andy enough for his outstanding skill at working with others! I found the leadership in the school to be warm and very much engaged with the well-fair of the children. The camp was filled with engaged parents and student volunteers. The children (volunteers) were very well behaved and set a great example. This led us to inquire about enrollment for the school year. I was introduced to the administrator and senior pastor. They were both very nice and invited us to tour classes during session. We have foster children and they were very supportive and went out of their way to provide information on how we can get scholarships for them. They also introduced me to another family that attends the school. If you are looking for a good school, you should visit them. They provide education from VPK through High-school.
