Surfing as a girl can often be intimidating, so having a space where you are seen and valued instead of judged is amazing. My daughter loves it and always has a great time with her friends. I especially love how protective the owner is of her group! Any surfers and bodyboarders who get too close and could potentially hurt the girls by crashing into them are politely told to make space and stay a bit farther away. I love that she isn't timid, as so many women are taught to be. She fights for and gives a voice to her group. This camp isn't a private, elite lesson for advanced surfers. It's a place where girls can have fun and surf together. It's a place where confidence is nurtured and protected. It's a place where I know my child is in the best hands possible, so I don't worry. Check-in is easy, the premises are clean, restrooms, showers and changing rooms are all well maintained, and as you walk in they have that lovely steamy chlorinated smell most of us know from the leisure centres of our childhoods. To say when we were timid when we came to Suzi would be an understatement due to our previous experience with the other instructor. I knew within the first minute we had made the right decision. She is patient but also knows how to get down to business. There are Barbie and Ken dolls that she helps the kids calm down with as they can play with them or use them during the lesson. Along with that, she has fun phrases like "sauce the pizza" , "butterfly starfish", and many more to make the kids laugh and have fun while they go thru this amazing growing process. I would not recommend this swim instructor…read more I prepaid $475 for a package of 20 fifteen-minute swim lessons for my 4-year-old son because he was so excited to learn to swim. Unfortunately, it turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. Lesson after lesson was canceled, usually at the last minute. The reasons were consistently blamed on the weather, even on days when the radar was completely clear (I've included screenshots), or because the pool supposedly wasn't "hot and ready" despite the lessons being scheduled in advance. On one occasion, I had already arrived at her house before being told the lesson was canceled. The only full lesson my son received was one 15-minute session. During the second lesson, he was only in the pool for 6 minutes before it ended. In total, after paying for 20 lessons, my son spent only 21 minutes in the pool. When I requested a refund because the lessons were repeatedly canceled, I was initially told I would be refunded. Instead, I received less than what was owed. When I questioned it, I was told that "2 lessons is a different price than 20," even though the second lesson lasted only 6 minutes and wasn't even completed. The communication was unprofessional throughout the process. Instead of taking responsibility for the repeated cancellations, I was repeatedly told, "I make the call," regardless of the actual weather conditions. As a parent, the most disappointing part was watching my son get excited for swim lessons over and over, only to have them canceled at the last minute. We rearranged our schedules multiple times, drove to lessons, and still left without him getting the instruction we paid for. I understand that weather can occasionally affect outdoor swim lessons, and safety should always come first. However, the repeated cancellations, inconsistent explanations, incomplete lessons, and refund issues made this a very disappointing experience. I hope sharing this helps other parents make an informed decision.

I found the leadership in the school to be warm and very much engaged with the well-fair of the children. The camp was filled with engaged parents and student volunteers. The children (volunteers) were very well behaved and set a great example. This led us to inquire about enrollment for the school year. I was introduced to the administrator and senior pastor. They were both very nice and invited us to tour classes during session. We have foster children and they were very supportive and went out of their way to provide information on how we can get scholarships for them. They also introduced me to another family that attends the school. If you are looking for a good school, you should visit them. They provide education from VPK through High-school.

It became clear that the instructor didn't have experience with toddlers--something she later confirmed by saying she had only worked with children as young as eight. This program may be better suited for older kids, but it should not advertise itself as appropriate for children under six. Overall, it was a disappointing experience
