Surfing as a girl can often be intimidating, so having a space where you are seen and valued instead of judged is amazing. My daughter loves it and always has a great time with her friends. I especially love how protective the owner is of her group! Any surfers and bodyboarders who get too close and could potentially hurt the girls by crashing into them are politely told to make space and stay a bit farther away. I love that she isn't timid, as so many women are taught to be. She fights for and gives a voice to her group. This camp isn't a private, elite lesson for advanced surfers. It's a place where girls can have fun and surf together. It's a place where confidence is nurtured and protected. It's a place where I know my child is in the best hands possible, so I don't worry. Our son occasionally goes as well. In the near 9 years we have had our kids in daycare, this is the best daycare we have ever had the pleasure of taking our kids. In the 3+ years our daughter has been at KA she has rarely gotten sick. I attest this to their dedication to keeping everything clean and disinfected. KA has always been very accommodating. They worked with us during the first year when our daughter had to wear a helmet for medical reasons for the majority of her first year at KA. When we had a job loss they also worked with us to accommodate a part time schedule that wasn't what they typically allowed. We have referred many of our friends and neighbors to KA and wouldn't consider leaving KA. They are the best!

However as we now enter our child's third year at the school with numerous staff and leadership turnover we utilize this school more out of convenience than personal choice. There have been several instances of miscommunication from leadership with our family. Even more concerning, is the notable leadership turnover in such a short period of time. Unfortunately there is not a standard practice in place for routine class transitions which allow children of the same age an equal opportunity to access all learning tools which the school prides itself on. It's extremely disappointing to see such obvious stagnation and regression in our child's classroom engagement and learning for what appears to be the sake of appeasing incoming families on waitlists or special circumstances. I do hope moving forward the school is able to put in place more concrete class groupings so that all children are afforded an equal opportunity to engage and excel in their pivotal early learning years with the developmentally appropriate materials and tools the school has to offer.

The aggression stems from them not knowing how to use their words. He had behavioral therapists there with him everyday and he was only at this school for four days before they kicked out a special needs child! A normal non special needs child takes a week to transition to a new place....a child on the spectrum takes at least two weeks maybe three. The owner did not allow that. The teachers have no training on how to handle and teach a child on the spectrum at all. The owner also LIED and said the behavioral therapists sat and let my son hit and kick the teacher and they ignored it. TOTAL LIES!! I have the proof from the notes that they have to put in every week from the sessions. So the owner lied to me, the teacher lied also. I called the ADA and was told what they did violated the ADA act and to file a complaint. I have filed a complaint with the ADA. This place needs to be shut down for good. They are horrible. They also wanna charge almost $1200 a month you have to pay on the 1st of every month and they don't provide lunch, you have to provide lunch for your child and they wanna charge that much. I am an adult who has never learned how to swim. After looking up countless swim sites, I settled on AquaMobile Swim School. They are affordable and convenient swim lessons conducted at YOUR home. Lets be honest, learning how to swim (especially as an adult) can be pretty embarrassing. But the confinement of your home allows you to relax and feel comfortable. PLUS - AquaMobile Swim School allows you to pick your instructor! I LOVED that! After picking my instructor and paying the fees, my lessons were booked. An hour later, I received a phone call from the instructor (Ellen B.) She introduced herself, asked me questions about myself and my swimming experience. During our first lesson, we went over kicking, blowing bubbles / breathing, and freestyle stroke. We finished our second lesson earlier this morning and I can honestly say ... I can swim! It may not be as swift as Michael Phelps, but I can swim! We practiced with a noodle initially, but by the time our one hour lesson finished, I was able to swim on my own. I still get nervous every now and then, but Ellen reassures me that she is right there by my side and I'm doing well. Some people give false hope and continuously say "Oh you're doing great! Keep up the good work! You're really getting the hang of this..... etc" But what I love about Ellen is that she's been honest with me from the beginning. "You need to kick a little harder. You aren't breathing properly. You are sinking because you aren't kicking as hard as you need to... etc" When I was able to swim on my own today, she shared my excitement! Being 27 years old, that made me happy! You never want to complete a lesson with someone who isn't passionate about what they are doing. If all instructors are like Ellen B., look no further! AquaMobile Swim School is where you need to schedule your At Home Swim Lessons! I initially booked Ellen B. for five lessons, but I think I will extend it to ten lessons to improve my strokes.
