    Our 25th anniversary

Amazing time for our 25th Anniversary celebration! Thank you to everyone who participated! I highly recommend this place for everyone who is interested in a date day class, who loves the art of glass blowing . While we chose to go with a red and white heart , they offer many other options to choose from. Google them for all the classes and to reserve your spot!

This was an amazing activity. I requested this as my birthday gift from my family and enjoyed everything about it. There are several options for classes on their website. I picked the starfish It is in the last row of an wearhouse park took us a minute to find as we didn't see a sign near the street. Parking spots are not really marked; however, we didn't have any issues parking as we went on Saturday and none of the other businesses were open. After we checked in we got to choose our colors. There was a great selection of individual and pre-mixed colors. We were provided safety glasses and given a short safety chat. Colton was leading our session and he was great! He was very attentive and directed us every step of the way. He made sure we understood the steps, we were safe, and cautioned us as we sculpted our masterpieces. Once we were done forming and shaping our art they were place in a kiln to set. They were labeled so we could pick them up at a later date. I was able to pick up our starfish up the following day within the designated hours. They have a board listing the times for pickup.

AMAZING!!! they are super nice and care about your safety as well... it was such a cool experience you get to learn about how the glass works AND actually make what you pick out!

This was such a fun experience! I would highly recommend it. Andy was our instructor, he is very knowledgeable, patient, kind, and helpful (I believe he is also the owner although he didn't mention that so I guess he is humble too!) it's not a long process, maybe 20 minutes a glass. I was so thrilled with my 2 glasses, I will definitely go back next time I am visiting Jacksonville.

***This is for the King Maker Brewing location- Yelp merged it with the Philips Hwy location- yes, they do glass blowing at King Maker!!! I adore this company! And now they offer studio workshops at a local brewery!!! Yup- plan your next night out to King Maker and make yourself something really cool! They offer various workshops and they change with the seasons. Beer steins, whiskey glass, wine glasses, glass ball ornaments, starfish paperweight, glass snowmen and more! This was my first time at the mobile workshop and it looks like they plan to make this a secondary location!!! How wonderful. I absolutely LOVE when local brewers mix with local artists to offer classes and workshops! And King Maker has plenty of featured art throughout their taproom and building! Adam was our Master Glassworker tonight to guide us through making not one- but two items each!!! Vanessa T met me there and made a starfish and a bud vase and I made a glass ball and a whiskey glass. He indulged my wanting something different and we worked through the process together. Grinning ear to ear, both Vanessa and I enjoyed every minute! I had to chuckle when turning the glass in the furnace when Adam said to me how relaxed I was- that most people are nervous and freaking out. I have made numerous glass blowing items over the years at a few different places and hope to take the full blown course someday soon. I crave all things artistic and love working with tools. I can't wait to blow glass again! Thank you Adam for helping me create my pieces! You were very patient and your expertise is evident.

A family member took us to Burnt over the holidays to try glass blowing. I wasn't overly excited about it, but it turned out to be a fantastic experience. I opted to make a beer mug and it came out really nice. Andy did a great job of explaining as we worked. It was a fun, educational, creative experience and I highly recommend giving it a try.

We had so much fun blowing glass, something I have always wanted to do! I love that it was a 1:1 hands on experience. The instructors were fantastic...super kind, patient and knowledgeable. I love that we got to choose the colors and product we made. I can't wait to go back!

Don't let it fool you, I may be standing far back but really my skin is melting off right now!!

What an amazing experience this was!!!! My amazingly awesome wife knows how much I love trying new and different things so for our anniversary she got us a spot at one of Burnt Glassworks pop up events in my favorite part of town, Riverside. 10/10 recommend taking the opportunity to do this any chance you get! I am already looking into other events they are putting on and can't wait to create my next item!! They start by giving you a safety brief, I'm sure their lawyers make them do that, and I get it because basically everything is hot and or sharp or both!! Which, make it much more fun for me! They have a list of items you get to make and a wall of colorful glass fragments you get to add into your work of art! You get to do just enough to feel like you want to be a professional glass blower but not so much that you're actually responsible for how great or shitty the piece turns out! Which is a great thing because it's absolutely harder than they make it look!! Can't wait to go back for more!!!

I went here with my two grandkids to make the glass pumpkins. We were greeted promptly and got started right away! Colton helped me and the kids by explaining every step and helping as needed. You have to pick up you item the next day and, same thing - friendly greeting and quick to help us. Many different items and colors to choose from!

This would be a great activity for adults and recommended for common sense smart people. The four us had our own station complete with glass, tools, and torch. This was a first time glass class for all of us. After the common safety recommendations, Justin did an amazing job showing us basic techniques (suitable for our novice level). He helped us shape our designs when asked. This was a very hands-on, creative playing experience! Recommendations: -Wear work clothes and sneakers (it gets hot!). -Bring a drink and empty your tank (bathroom on site). You'll be at our station standing for quite some time. -Come with an idea of what you want to make. -Have an open mind and as Justin says, let your adult self go. Just play. -Be ready for a satisfying and simultaneously aggravating process. -Bring your sense of humor! -Your glass creations will take at least 24 hours to cool down in the kiln. Be ready to pick them up a few days later. Thank you, Justin! We'll definitely be back!

But it was cancelled with no explanation. The only other events before our expiration were sold out. I contacted Groupon and was told to contact Paint Nite. They have no phone number on their website, so email it is. I was told the Groupon would be honored past the expiration date. Fast forward to October 2nd. My friend registered for the event at Whitey's. It was sold out when I tried to book, however there was 1 a lot open the day of. I couldn't register online because it said my Groupon was used so I emailed. 1.5 hours before the event I got a confirmation so out to Whiteys I went. The setup was on the patio and ready when we arrived. Each station was covered with a table cloth and had an easel, blank canvas, needed paint brushes, the paint for your print, a cup of water and a paper towel. We checked in, got our aprons and waited to paint. The artist was wearing a mic so we could hear her and she walked us through the painting. 2-3 others walked around to help if you were struggling or needed more paint. We had breaks in between steps, music was played, and we all drank, painted, sang, danced and had a damn good time. Being outside on a muggy night meant it took a little longer than normal for the painting to dry. All in all, I had a great time! My artistic skills are nonexistent but even I made a decent painting thanks to the instructions. I'm already planning another Paint Nite with more friends.
