As I continued building my skills, I often turned to the McIntyres, who were always friendly and helpful. Once I started making my own designs, I got help from them in making the designs more workable. When I got in a fix and was too scared to go on, the McIntyres were there for me. They have a wonderful selection of glass and all the supplies one needs for simple and complicated pieces. Thank you for providing materials and help with this great hobby!

Or would it be the multiple collections of colors you can select from? Or finally would it be for the items you can buy in their mini showroom? This is the first time I had ever done something like this at the suggestion of my cousin who had also never done it before after reading reviews. She said this is what we're doing. I have to say this was probably one of the funnest events I have done in years! Being able to create something of beauty and not having talent doesn't matter because of the instructions received from Andy. Speaking of Andy, I have to say he is a phenomenal teacher! He explains things in great detail yet in such a way that he is not talking over you or above you but rather with you. He explains by example and by words. He was very patient through the process understanding had never done something like this, and allowed me to express creativity along the way. When it came to the end, describing what the opening of the boss would look like he gave me various options. I cannot commend Andy enough for his outstanding skill at working with others! Now let's talk about Zach who worked the desk and also assisted Andy. He greeted us with a smile, was very friendly and explained to us what the process was going to be. With a fantastic sense of humor and a willingness to be customer centered Zach truly made a difference today as he was the first one we worked with and the last one. From beginning to end my cousin and I had the most fantastic service! However, the staff here is amazing and they were so pleasant and helpful! Each person goes one at a time, for safety, and they talk you through each step of the peace as and are hand one with you through each step. It was so fun and my snowman looks amazing . You were able to pick any 2 colors from a great variety of colors and patterns - one for the body of the snowman and one for the hat. They even had already made examples so you could see some that were traditional (white snow body and red hat) and some that used different color pairs. The 4 of us were done within 45 minutes or so - each taking just over 10 minutes to make. They also have a showroom of already made items in display. I will definitely be back.

Four of us came for a private group workshop to celebrate my birthday and had the best time. It was…read moreon my wish list for a while and I'm so glad we found Orlando Glassblowing Center to make it happen! We each made 1 large item and could choose from a list of options. Since we chose 3 different things to make, we got to see different processes and learn more about how you can make the glass do various things, use the tools, etc. We chose a drinking glass, a wavy bowl, and a thick bowl. Each of us was able to choose whatever color or color combo we wanted as well, so there was a lot of opportunity for customization. The staff member who worked with us was informative but also funny and kept the whole session interesting even during the times when someone else was making their item and the rest of us were just watching. He told us which items were a little more hands on so we could do more parts of the process as well. The items need to be held for a few days before pick up, but the pick up process was also simple. We truly had a great time and would love to come back.

For Christmas we like to do family experiences. Picasso's Palette was what we found to celebrate in…read moreOcala. It was so surprisingly fun and relaxing. I called about 3 weeks in advance to book a private party in their small room. There were 12 of us (7 adults and 5 children). When I called to book I spoke with Anna who was super helpful in answering all of my questions. She was also our guide the day of the party. We were able to bring in our own food and drinks for the party. I will note that the party room does not have a ton of extra space if you have a larger party. There is a counter that can be used. Once our whole party arrived Anna gave instructions on what price point to stay within (pre arranged) and sent us off on our own to choose which ceramic we wanted. Then she instructed us to pick which colors we would like. You start with 4 and can add more as needed. Then we got to work. Our whole group was engaged in their project. We laughed and had a wonderful time. Once we were finished she collected our ceramics to store until they were put in the Kiln. The wait time was about 2 weeks. I would recommend for all ages and group sized.
