We just purchased our 2nd vechicle from Thompson. When I walked through the door I knew exactly who I wanted to talk to. Brandon Martz helped my husband and I when we purchased a Cargo Van for our business about 6 months ago. When we walked out we felt we got the best service a person could get. This time I went alone to puchase a vechicle for myself. I had no idea what I wanted except for the fact I wanted luxury and good gas milage. Brandon had nothing to go by except for that. He was wonderfully patient and worked extremely hard to find me just what I wanted. Brandon is very knowledgable about all the vehicles. By time he explained everything to me and anwsered all my questions, I felt confident in making the right decision. During the process I had to call back and forth to my husband, I had several work calls and my daughter got lost while driving in Springfield, which Brandon got on the phone with and steered her through Springfield to the dealership. The whole time he was smiling and never showed one sign of being in a hurry or trying to push us through to get to another customer. By the time all the paper work was done, (by the way our finance person was Mr. Wood and he was wonderful also.) the store had closed. Brandon stayed until almost 9pm explaining the car features and helping us remove our items from the vehicle we traded in. The first time Brandon worked with us, we walked away feeling like we had just been sold a vehicle by an EXCELLENT PERSON (not a sales-man). This time when I walked out I knew I had been sold a vehicle by and EXCELLENT PERSON as well as making a GOOD TRUSTED FRIEND. I have purchased several cars in my life, 4 in the last few years, 2 that have been from 2 other big name Springfield dealerships. I can tell you this, Thompson is the best dealership I have ever been too and I plan on doing all my future purchases with them read more

My wife and I just bought a used 2012 Chevy Impala from Thompson yesterday. It was a great experience. Adam Ragan was the dealer that helped us and he was very patient and answered every question we had. We had been considering a new car for almost a year now and finally reached a point where we were ready. I found the car on their website over the weekend and just put my email in to receive information about it. I wasnt expecting a reply for a couple days but within minutes had an email directly from a live person and Adam followed within the hour with a phone call about the details. We test drove it on Saturday and they were very patient since we wanted to take the weekend to think about it. I never felt any of the high pressure that car dealers are known for. I would definitely recommend them and will return when it is time for our next vehicle. The only feedback I would say is they forgot to check the tire pressure. Within 24 hours all 4 tires set off the low pressure warning on the dashboard. But that is an easy thing for me to fix and am still very satisfied. read more

My husband and I went to Thompson's Cadillac , GMC and Buick to look at the 2018 Buick Envisions Preferred and talked to David Howard on Monday the 19th of Feb. We told him I would be back on Tuesday at 8:30 am. I arrived at 8:30 and we started the paperwork. The sale price on the Buick was 29,450.00 but when he showed me the papers it came up as 32,992.00 I told him the sale sticker said 29,450.00 and he agreed he went out and took the sticker to the manager David Russell. He came over and said that was the wrong price and the sale price on the Preferred was 32,992.00 and he would not give me the car at that price. His exact words were " You can go somewhere else and buy it" Did not say he was sorry about the incorrect price on the car and was just down right rude. I will never return to Thompson again. What has happened to the customer is always right??? Sure wasn't my fault someone put the wrong sale sticker on the car. We will no longer service our Cadillac or our other vehicles at this establishment. read more

First, you have a great dealership. Very customer friendly and very professional yet you are greeted as if you were the likeable next door neighbor. Nice! For the last five years my son has bought cars and trucks from Adam Ragan. He has been the BEST. He is more interested in a person getting the best vehicle they can for their budget then just selling them anything.. I like the fact he is true to his word and not pushy. His "after Sale" inquiry to see how the new owner is doing and is there anything he can do to help them with all the new "Gadgets" you need to learn about is fantastic. A couple of the vehicles my son has given to me and with Adam's recommendations the fit is perfect. I'm that "little ole lady" you hear about. Not!! HA! HA! Because of his excellent abilities, friendliness and knowledge of his product we would not go to any other dealership or salesman. Thank you again Adam. The ride is great. Our experience at Thompson's was top notch. We were just about to finalize a deal with another dealership, but decided to stop into Thompson's first. We are so glad we did! The buying process was simple, no pressure, and everyone we interacted with was great. Jace Brinkley was our Sales person. Jace took time to walk us through any details we wanted to know, and was patient and willing to help through the whole process. He even followed up after the sale - just to check in! We've bought from another dealership in town a few years back and most definitely did not have this experience. Mike Wood was also a huge help through the process. Mike walked us through all financing options in depth and made sure we were well aware of all options related to financing, protection, and warranty information. Jace & Mike are two of the best for sure. We will be back to Thompsons in the future. read more

Randy in the service department was AMAZING! I brought my car in thinking that it just needed a new crank sensor. After looking it over the mechanic found that the wiring between the sensor and the computer was messed up. After fixing the wiring issue my car would still not start. After analyzing it more they figured out that I had a full tank of contaminated gas. Randy kept in touch with me to let me know where they were at with my vehicle, and when the services were complete Randy and a couple other team members gave me the information I needed for the gas station where I got the bad gas. When I came back to the service department to get paperwork filled out for the claim against the gas station Randy was again very helpful and showed GREAT customer service skills. I would not take my car ANYWHERE but Thompson's based on this and my previous experience with them. Keep up the great work!! read more

Truly the best experience I've ever had at a repair center. Debbie at reception was incredibly nice (wonderful personality) and always seemed happy to hear from me, though I called multiple times! Bobby, the service manager, showed true concern for my issues, and was really patient with me on a stubborn electrical issue to the point where I was convinced he actually cared about me personally! I was under a time crunch with a road trip days away, but not only did he make feel like I wasn't being a hassle, he took care of me quicker than I requested! After a mis-diagnosis from another mechanic, he figured my problem out and solved it perfectly. I also had extensive body work done as I was in a t-bone collision, and it looks and drives like a brand new car. I truly cannot say enough about my experience with Thompson, only that I wish I had been taking my vehicles to them all along. read more

Brent Morris, the sales consultant, spoke with me via phone to discuss a possible multi-trade or sale of vehicles so I could purchase a new 2024 Buick. Over portions of two days, Brent listened to what my needs were. He set up a test drive, appraisals, trades, sales, and shuttle rides. Following my purchase, he walked me through the Welcome setup and helped me order additional accessories from the parts department. Brent has a heart for quality service. When we reached a deal, I left smiling with a new vehicle. Carole in the Finance Office was personable and efficient. Cindy in the Shuttle Service area made my trips back and forth enjoyable. These folks are an asset to your company and represent you and your values well. Thompson Sales has been our family's choice for car purchases and care for years. We have always hated the 'car shopping' experience. That is until we stopped at Thompson. We were not attacked the minute we stepped out of our car. We weren't pressured in any way. This was THE most pleasant car shopping experience we have ever had. John Bryant was exceptional! He was personable, polite, and NOT pushy. At first when we couldn't make the deal, he informed us that he would keep in touch with any changes. He was not a bother at all. When he called, it was to tell us of a change. We went in and he still was not pushy at all. Mike Wood was also very, very helpful and personable in getting the paperwork through. We were educated on the vehicle we purchased and told to call if we had any questions whatsoever. We will go to Thompson for any future purchases. Thank you John, Mike, and Thompsons!!! read more

We recently purchased a new GMC 2500HD from Thompson Buick GMC. This was an out of state purchase for us, we live in Mississippi 500 miles away and Jace made the entire experience outstanding. He was incredibly professional, kind, and easy to work with from start to finish. Jace took the time to answer all of the questions we had before we made the trip there, (out of state sales taxes, financing, etc) When we arrived, they had everything ready for us and we had everything we needed. Chris in Financing was outstanding as well. He made everything smooth and easy. He took the time to explain all the facts and figures in a way to make it very easy to understand. I can honestly say this was the best buying experience we've ever had. Everyone we interacted with was very helpful and accommodating. read more

I had a exceptional experience doing business with Thompson GMC. I was an out of state buyer from Texas and my salesperson was Bobby Duncan. Bobby was extremely friendly, communicative, and responsive to my questions and emails. I had to do almost the entire buying process over the phone, and Bobby and his team made the process completely stress free for me. Answering any questions and sending photos of the vehicle I was interested in, very quickly. After making the 10 hour drive to get the truck, Bobby had everything ready to go upon arrival and I was in and out of the dealership in less than an hour. Bobby and his team gave me an awesome and fair deal on my new truck and on my trade in. I would recommend anyone to take their business to Thompson GMC. Ask for Bobby Duncan! read more

I recently retired and decided to by a new truck, however it has been about 10 years since I have went through the process of buying a "New" vehicle. Well, have things changed! After visiting several dealerships I was left with the feeling that I would be lucky to purchase the vehicle I wanted. I decided to expand my search area and reached out to Thompson GMC of Springfield, MO. What a great move that was! The sales representative, Jace Brinkley, was awesome! He had me in the exact truck I wanted in a few days! I was amazed. Anthony Jesse in financing wrapped up the deal. The two made me feel like a VIP. Every person I encountered was exceptionally friendly and professional. I highly recommend Thompson GMC of Springfield. read more

This is our second vehicle purchase with Marcus Scott at Thompson Sales Company, and once again the experience was outstanding. We saw the car we wanted on the showroom floor, and Marcus didn't hesitate, he had the doors open and drove it right out for us to test drive. That ended up being the vehicle we purchased, and we couldn't be happier with how smooth and easy he made the whole process. We'd also like to recognize Tom Gray, who was a big help throughout everything. Together, Marcus and Tom made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. We absolutely love our new Buick Enclave and highly recommend Thompson Sales Company to anyone looking for a new vehicle! Thank you guys! The Feils read more

We just purchased a Chevrolet Captiva at Thompson sales automotive. Jonathan Metcalf was our super sales consultant; one of the most knowlegeable salesmen we have ever dealt with in our automotive search. This young man knows his cars & is very thoughtful in making sure that our visit was pleasant. He knew the answer to all questions without having to consult his superiors, made suggestions without being pushy & made sure that we knew how to use all the new technical gadgets on the SUV. This was not the end of the deal as he told us to call him anytime we needed information on how to use this SUV. He is surely one of a kind & dealing with him WAS a pleasure. My car adventure started at Thompson Sales. I had seen the pricing online at Autotrader and it seemed like they had a few of the cars I was looking for with great prices. I was greeted on the lot by Chris Matlock. He immediately made me and my wife feel welcome and important. I told him which cars I wanted to look at and he had no problem getting keys for us to look at without the hassle of going inside and filling out a bunch of papers or what not. We drove 2 cars with Chris and finally my wife decided the Yukon Denali was it! I told Chris where we wanted to be and easy as that we were headed to the business office and buying a new car. Thanks for everything. We will be back. read more

I am a single mother, came in to trade in my car. This was a very HARD decision on my end. I want to thank Mark Cotner for spending the day with me. This has been the BEST experience that I have ever had purchasing a car. He took his time, explained every question I could come up with. He definitely went above and beyond for me. The same with my loan officer, unbelievably awesome, Anthony Jesse. I have previously been seen in your service department. I apologize I do not remember last name, but Kent was the kindest to work with. Every experience I have had with Thompson- Springfield, hands down has been the best experience purchasing a vehicle. Thank you!!! read more

I drove over 8 hours to buy what this dealer had listed as a new vehicle. Once I got back to my state, I was told I was not eligible for a tax credit on my trade in because the vehicle was previously titled by the dealer. I'm now out a significant amount of money because of a technicality and think that this dealer should have made me aware that the truck was previously titled and would be considered a used vehicle upon licensing. I'm now out all of the taxe money previously paid on my trade in. I guess that will teach me to do business out of state. To their credit, they did try to assist with the title office in my home state but I still feel cheated. read more

We had recall on our 2014 GMC Acadia for a minor fix. I called Service manager PHIL DAVIS in advance to set up a time and date (10/17/2014). While there we had the Acadia serviced and tires rotated. PHIL DAVIS was very courteous and professional from start to finish. We left with 100% satisfaction. Kudos to Randy Rose who met us at the door at 0730 to pull our Acadia in for all these services. Of course Phil was there ready take care of the rest. We don't plan to have our 2014 GMC Acadia or our 2013 GMC Terran serviced anywhere else. Both purchased from Thompson sales in 2013. Thank you Phil. Garry & Shirley Jarrett read more
