Went in for a recall that they said would take 10 minutes. After an hour and a half, we went to talk to someone in the garage, and he acted like he had never seen us before. They ended up just glueing a cover to my keys. That took a hour and a half. I can't imagine how long it would take to get an oil change or something like that. Probably, at least, 3 days. read more

GMC saves the day I had to come in because my truck had a nail and I didn't feel like doing another 7 hour drive and get stranded they were able to get me in right away and fix my tire with out much of a delay. The guys were very helpful and friendly the sitting area was very clean they have snacks and drinks for customers I had to stock up for my 7 hour drive better than a gas station just kidding but not really hahaha. The sitting area is small but cozy and you get see what the guys are doing to your vehicle . i feel safe that I can come here anytime and no one will try to up sale anything to me that my truck doesn't need. read more

The guy who did our business end of the purchase was also very helpful, and friendly. The service garage people were very professional, courteous, and friendly. This is how a car dealership should be ran, and how they should treat their customers. I have nothing but good things to say about this place, and they have earned a life long customer. If there was only one complaint it would be that the lube oil filter shop is a lot smaller that the one connected to the dealership, and the lounge area was very small and didn't have near the amount of refreshments that the other one did. Not sure why appointments are offered if they are going to be ignored. If you're going to run first come first served just say that, when you schedule an appointment you expect to be at least close to the schedule time. The tech team was polite but not too concerned with a timetable, I suggest you allow plenty of time and don't bother with scheduling an appointment, they don't acknowledge them anyhow. The service provided was acceptable, and the price was on par for the work done, Nothing special. I would have thought a Dealership like Thompson would be better at respecting their customers. I realize this will seem petty to some readers, but customer service is the business they are in and you shouldn't offer anything that you can't or won't do. Update: I was informed that they don't do scheduled appointments, They are also aware that their own website allows you to schedule an appointment that will not exist. We just purchased a Buick Enclave from Thompson before Christmas. Denny Highfill was our sales rep and was great to work with. My wife and I had just stopped by the lot because we were thinking about buying a car and had wanted to check out the Enclave and the GMC Acadia. Our original thought had been to just check out those and then check out comparable models at some other dealers in town. However, after a little while talking to Denny and getting all of our questions answered, we decided that there wasn't any need to look at other dealerships. Denny was very patient and answered all of our questions without any pressure. He was even willing to stay past closing time to help us finish our paperwork. The week after the sale, while we were working on all of the other paperwork on our trade-in, we also got to work with some of the other Thompson employees. All were extremely helpful and always went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied. Terrible company is a UNDERSTATEMENT. ADAM REGAN completely lied to us and had us drive 3 hours each way with my elderly father for nothing. We explained this deal must be agreed before we leave for the long trip. I am so disappointed in our recent visit to Thompson Buick GMC Cadillac. My family has been long time customers with this dealership, and after this last visit I don't think we will ever go back. My wife and I have been looking for a new truck for me and when driving through the parking lot last night when we saw a truck I liked. I took photos of the truck including the price tag. This morning I went in to buy the truck and we were told that the price was $10,000 more than what the sticker price on the lot was. This is ridiculous, we were very excited to buy this truck, had the cash in hand and ended up leaving without the truck. We were told the online price was higher and that was the price, this does not make sense to me. If the sticker on the truck says a price that should be the price regardless, I was not shopping on the internet for this truck I was shopping on the lot. We had already filled out trade papers and everything before we found this out. This was not a mistake by the salesperson, our salesperson was very helpful and trying to make this situation right for us and I do appreciate that. The management was the problem in this situation, I own a business as well and I would not do this to a customer. I'm very thankful we live in town and did not make a long drive in for this to happen. read more

Bought a great car from Adam Ragan. He was very professional and fair and I thought I got a good deal on a great car. We were concerned about the dark tint film on the windows and we had to leave on a scheduled vacation trip before it could be removed. Adam told us it would be removed when we returned, and he was as good as his word. We were going to buy a truck there yesterday. It's listed a little over $24,500. We worked with Kevin. He seemed very rushed like he just wanted to get out of there at 7. He even tried to have us come the next day instead. He said he would negotiate on price but he would need our trade in vehicle first. We went all the way to Republic to get it and came back. We put in an offer of $22,000 and he then said he cannot negotiate on price and that they have it listed as low as they can sell it. He wouldn't even go put in our offer with the person who manages the sell. It was confusing as he previously said the price was negotiable? He never checked our credit even. He never even discussed other vehicles he had that might be better for us. It seemed like he just wanted to leave. He then walked my husband out and said no hard feelings and left to go park the truck we were going to buy. We were just dumbfounded and very angered by the whole experience. I wish if there was a time constraint he had that he could have handed us off to someone who wasn't as limited on time. My husband had taken off work so we needed to get it done then. I've never also bought a car where the price is non negotiable? If that's the case I wish he would have been upfront about that and also not said it was negotiable initially. This was a very bad experience. Maybe he only takes time/applies effort with higher priced vehicles? After messaging the company the owner Troy Thompson called me. He defended their actions and said he was the one who chose not to counter since our offer was too low. He said he does not negotiate on his prices. He was very condescending and defensive. My wife and I recently bought a car from Brandon Bigelow at Thompson Sales Company. We bought a 2013 Cadillac SRX, and Brandon did a great job. He was very thorough, and informative, and yet was not pushy. Before our test drive he did a thorough overview, and during the test drive he pointed out the features of the car itself, as well as features of the Que. On January 2nd he called to see if we were indeed interested in the car, an if so there were reasons to think about doing the purchase that day due to the end of the fiscal year. We had indeed decided that was the car we were interested in, so we came in to see what could be done. We bought the car and came back to pick it up two days later, after the extra details were cone. Upon delivery Brandon spent about 90 minutes making sure we understood the features of the car, and the Que system. He also offered that we should drive it a couple of weeks, and make a list of any questions that he might need to cover at another meeting. We were shopping for a car for my daughter. She had found a car she was interested in on their website, so we headed to Thompson first. Never dealt with them before. The salesman, Patrick, was very nice and friendly. The car we were interested in required a jump start, which was fine and understandable as it probably has set on the lot for awhile. It drove horrible, though, so we notified the salesman that it probably need to be checked out by service. We then began looking at other cars on their lot. We found one that my daughter was interested in so began negotiations. We were told by the salesman that the cars with "X's" on the windshield were non-negotiable, but the one we had selected had no "X". We were then surprised when the manager, Mr. Maxwell, was not willing to negotiate on the price. We then shared that we found a similar car in Ozark. He quickly "looked it up" and informed us that car was not "GM Certified". We thanked them and left the lot, headed to Ozark, as we normally purchase from Dennis Hanks anyway. Imagine our surprise to see that, written in bold on the windshield of that particular car.....GM Certified. Didn't appreciate the lying tactic and very glad we didn't fall for it.
