I had called A&L Automotive for help with my car issue and they referred me to Henry's for towing when I asked. Note that because they have a referral relationship you can roll your towing into your car repair bill and get a discount! (I did not do this as I wanted to submit my receipt to insurance but I thought it was a great option). I called Henry's early on a Saturday morning and left a message. They called back, let me know they'd have a driver in the area in about an hour. They also asked if we needed a ride to the shop too or if they were just taking the car. They were patient with me (I was a bit stressed and almost cry-y - it was embarrassing but they were professional). That worked. Guess what - their driver arrived like 15 mins later! He was friendly, polite, told me what to expect and then got down to business. He had my car loaded up quickly and securely. He also had a very clean truck and room for both my friend and I to ride along. Henry's Towing was very helpful and really helped make this stressful out of town car breakdown experience manageable. Also I thought they were affordable - it was about $75-80 to town my car. I think we went close to 5 miles.

Ironic since they have the city contract. it does not mean they are above the law. This is STEALING . And why not talk to us? looks shady .

Shaken, overwhelmed, and honestly just trying to hold it together. And then Mike showed up. What started as a routine tow turned into one of the most unexpectedly comforting moments I've had with a stranger. Mike didn't just tow my car! He showed up with compassion, patience, and heart. He gave me a genuine hug when I didn't even realize how much I needed it in that moment, still in shock after what had just happened. He did everything with a big smile on his face and a lot of wit to share the smile with us. Later in the day, my best friend and I went to pick up my belongings out of my vehicle. He treated us like family, like people who mattered. After he'd already finished up and was technically off the clock, he stayed and talked with us for almost a hour! Really talked with us. He offered life advice, encouragement, and a kind of grounded wisdom that felt like it came straight from someone who's lived a lot of life and still chooses to show up for people with grace on some of their worst days. He reminded us that even in the middle of chaos, there's still goodness in the world. That even when things feel like they're falling apart, there are still good, solid people out there holding space for others without expecting anything in return.
