Tree removal is not a fun way to spend money, and we had been procrastinating having this service performed. But, after having Ed, Eddie, and Jack from Tree Sons thoroughly explain how the work would be conducted at what seemed to be a fair, reasonable price, we decided to move forward with the work. Hiring Tree Sons was a great decision. Their large crane and skills allowed them to access and remove trees from around our one acre property without damaging the lawn or other landscaping. To me, it seemed like a huge task, and I was impressed with how quickly they downed the trees, chipped the branches, and stacked the logs for removal. I hope our remaining trees will thrive, but if you need tree removal, I highly recommend giving Tree Sons a call.

"Buy a house with mature landscaping," my husband suggested. Twenty years later, much of that…read moremature landscaping was dead. Our home is surrounded by very mature trees- many spruce, ash, oak, and maple. The ash have been dead for a while and this year, a giant Norway spruce thinned out and began to worry us. Enter Tree Sons Tree Service- they came out to do an estimate and then when we realized there were a few more trees we'd want removed, they came back out and we were assured that they would take care of all the dead ash in that section. Their knowledge of trees and how far one could reach if it fell was really helpful in deciding which trees should stay or go. They are able to pick dead trees out from in between others that are still alive! It's amazing! And, their quote was less than the others we got- the equipment is expensive so of course the work is as well. Unfortunately, I had to go to work and had to miss the fun of the crane dangling trees over our house, but when I came home, the trees were gone, and my yard had been cleaned up! All in a day's work! Note: they didn't grind stumps but they disclosed that and I was not expecting that to be done. I would absolutely recommend Tree Sons if you are looking for pruning or tree removal. My experience with this company wasn't fantastic. They did a residential job for me in May, but…read morefailed to complete the work. It took another 6 months for them to finalize the job. Over that 6 months I received 8 calls from the office staff asking for final payment (very 1900's, they seem allergic to text or email). In each case I would tell them that I was waiting for them to finish the job and would send them photos detailing the remaining work. Then I wouldn't hear from them for weeks, until they called yet again to ask for payment, always surprised that the job hadn't been completed, and again asking for more photos. So all-in-all it wasn't a positive experience. I would say that the guys who did the actual tree work were very easy to work with, I found them to be both professional and friendly! The office staff wasn't easy to deal with; their sole focus seemed to be on pestering me for final payment with little interest in actually completing the job. Were I only reviewing the guys who do the actual tree work, I'd give them 5 stars.

Steve is very knowledgable about trees, he helped me choose which trees are worth saving and would be likely to thrive after the smaller ones were removed. The team also left my neighbors yards cleaner than before by thoroughly removing all the small debris, branches, and twigs that might have got broken off. I hopefully will not need any more tree services anytime soon, but Steve will be my first call if I do.

I found NXT Landscaping while searching for landscapers in the Leominster area. I was looking for…read moresomeone with solid reviews and noticed NXT was a Yelp Preferred Provider with a service guarantee. I submitted an inquiry and received a call from Nick within minutes. I explained that a previously hired provider had abandoned the project, leaving my yard in shambles. I shared photos and explained that I needed the situation fixed before it was too late, especially given how much I had already invested in the previous provider. Nick was nothing short of professional. He took on the burden of making things right--not just for me, but in a way that restored my faith in honest, reputable service providers. He even helped me document the issues so I could build my small claims case, all while offering an incredibly reasonable price to fix the mess. I'm sure the job was far more complicated than he anticipated, and he may have barely broken even, but Nick stood by his quote and kept me updated in real time every step of the way. There was never any question about what was being done. He sent his foreman out to assess the job, personally stopped by a couple of times beforehand to check things out, and ultimately started a few days ahead of schedule. The team completed everything in exactly the amount of time Nick said they would. It's hard to find honest, reliable providers these days, let alone someone willing to take the reputation of an entire industry on their shoulders and go above and beyond to do right by a customer. That's exactly what Nick did. I cannot thank Nick and the entire NXT team enough. They turned an incredibly frustrating situation into a positive experience, and I look forward to finding more opportunities to support NXT in the future. If you're looking for a landscaper who stands by their word, communicates transparently, and genuinely cares about doing the right thing, I cannot recommend NXT Landscaping enough!
